Hi All.

If anybody out there needs help to get started with using LaTeX I would be happy to help you for a small fee.
If you already know a good deal of LaTeX I probably won't be able to help you.

Any interest you can either PM write in this thread or mail me. [tobias.privatre(at)gmail.com] - the (at) should be @.

Chess Gambling [please read, it is not what you think]

Okay so I just got this sort of great idea, I do not have anything set, as it might be a bit fuzzy if there is any interest I would look
for somebody to partner with for making this happen.

The idea boils down to the following.
You play a game that your proud of so you think about sending it to a magazine,
but then you come across this idea I have, and decide to send it there instead
then there will be other games and the best games will be awarded a prize (oh yeah you will put some money up for sending it in)
and the best 3 games split the prizes.

NOTE: I am not sure if this is fitting for gambling else move it to service or something.

I think N is a bit more unstable, since back in school some guys had a N compatible wireless laptop, which would not talk with the router at all on that channel, only on a G channel (those were running windows.)

Well yeah but I might not be able to teach players too much my own level a lot of things, but perhaps I can show them a few things.

Well if anybody is interested I would offer chess-training for bitcoins.
First session is potentially free, as I would give the lesson and if you found it worth something you would pay afterwards.
I think that would be the most fair way to start out, also you can then see if I can teach you anything you don't know.

Good idea. I will make something tomorrow, I would prefer if it could be viable as a free-to-view thing with ads.

Seemingly I need to revise this idea a little bit to make it work out.
So now I think that I might be more interested to make some form of a chess-magazine
if any of you guys are interested in joining the effort to create a bitcoin chess magazine, perhaps
with some idea of making a tournament (that is if this succeeds)
I really want to do something with chess and bitcoins.

If you plugged things in through a usb hub, it might act strange, at least my usb stuff seems to act pretty strange when they are not connected directly (that is especially true for harddrives with NTFS partitions, which seems to be a standard.)
so perhaps it works better if they are not put in through a hub ?

I am not a significantly high rated player, if I was I would probably set this service up and get a lot of visitors, as titled players attract a lot of people automatically.
I got 1600 FIDE.

However I do have a rather unique perspective on chess.
Anyway I am always up for playing chess.
I do play at FICS occationally (linuxfreak) and chess.com

Okay
I am not running off designing a website and all kinds of stuff till I hear whether there is some interest in this or not.
My basic plan is to take in a pgn file analyse the game recommend things you can do to improve your chess and so on, and take some bitcoins (perhaps cents in the start), and send a new pgn back to you with the analysis in, for a little extra I will even produce a movie.
If this works out I might even hire people to do the same thing.

That's is if there is no interest I will just find something else to do.

a spin would be the one who raised the most money won the argument (and thus he would get some coins, (from the other guys stack or something), interesting idea.
