I think that Ethereum is influenced by Bitcoin. The skyrocketing growth of Bitcoin led to the rise of all cryptocurrencies, and the price of the cryptocurrencies after the rebound. The current price is like a whale selling Bitcoins, trying to clear those who do not trust Bitcoin. If it is a long-term investment, I don't think it really needs panic, because the blockchain will get more applications this year.

They cant even bother to check out the projects, updates, developments and different data points before investing. Many investors in the crypto currency are just looking at the values, if they see it low then they just go on buying and once that starts growing then they are not having power to sell those coins immediately after getting some profits, but they will wait and wait and then it drops over the night and they loose. Thats what the greed is and thats how it eats you. Better be cautious and alert the same way when we buy at low!

For now i would prefer Ethereum because of the stability of price and the demand on the market. Ethereum offers a fast transaction with lesser fees. But i doubt bitcoin will again rise after the Lightning Network will be fully implemented and working.

i think if there will be some many ICO projects give investors 10x 20x profit ,ETH value sure will pump ,but it's difficult .

The easiest answer to this question would be to invest 2/3rd of the amount in BTC and the remaining 1/3rd in ETH. But I guess the OP wants a direct one-word answer. In that case, I'd go with ETH. Take the risk, it may work for you in the future.

Thats is not coinmarketcap problem, I think is the fault of the coins that has refused to add a website or update it. Coinmarket only list coins that has reached the minimum volume it required on an exchange . There are different entity from the coins listed there.

If you are sure that you can buy cheaper then sell, but necessarily buy cheaper,because if you want to completely get out of the market then it is not the best option, because prices are very low
