Re: 📌 TIPS TO AVOID COMMON CRYPTO AIRDROP SCAMS

Well, I always thought that everyone understands that. I mean, most rules are pretty basic, especially "don't share your seed phrase". Who could even do that?

Re: DOGE or XRP

XRP for me. I feel so many hate it for no reason and I am going against the herd and buying in the hope it will finally wake up in the bull run peak over the next 6-12 months now that the law suit that has been holding it back for many years is coming to an end.

I plan to sell some in this bull run peak next year but also hold a few thousand until 2030 when the price will likely be a lot more.

For no reason? First of all, its charts during the years don't look good. People were calling for the big pumps all the time, but it did almost nothing. And it's fully centralized and controlled by the bank, lol.

Re: What you need to understand about Bitcoin
by
big kid
on 10/07/2024, 10:43:16 UTC
Before getting started with Bitcoin, there are few things you actually need to understand. First you need to know that the Bitcoin ecosystem allows you to exchange and transact money in so many different ways than you normally do. so before using Bitcoin for any serious transaction, you should be well knowledgeable about how the Bitcoin system works and be fully aware of the problems associated with the fiat system.

Also note the following
1. Note that Bitcoin transaction are irreversible. Therefore one need to be extra careful while doing transaction.
2. The price of Bitcoin is still volatile i.e it does not have a fix price for it market price.
3. It requires your own effort to protect your Bitcoin.

I think that everyone knows that on the "Bitcoin" forum. People don't appear here randomly without any knowledge of Bitcoin.

That's an interesting choice. I wouldn't buy any of them, but if I had to I'd pick DOGE. XRP is a centralized coin that is worth nothing. DOGE at least funny and decentralized.

I definitely wouldn't do that. I don't have issues with my memory, but still, you may get 1 word wrong and lose everything.

I'm already receiving a salary in crypto. In USDT, and it works fine. I was receiving it in LTC, but I switched because of volatility.

Hate it or love it, Bitcoin is Crypto. No matter how you want to treat it, it is a cryptocurrency just like we have many others. What I get from people most times is how they think that crypto is a scam and this is always caused by some altcoin, etc. So any thing said about crypto in general or accusations about it still ends up hitting all innocent cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin. But it is what it is.

Exactly, that's my thought. Yeah, there are a lot of scams in the crypto space, but scam schemes always existed with fiat too, people still use it, and they don't have the word "money" or "currency". Not calling BTC crypto because there are other coins that are used to do shady stuff is like not calling yourself an American, when you're an American, just because you don't like what some other Americans do. That doesn't define you, just like it doesn't define BTC.

Every low-cap memecoin might seem like a hidden gem if you want to see it that way. It's all about luck and hype, I wouldn't bet on it.

Re: Stablecoins or Fiat?
by

I'm not keeping my funds in fiat or stablecoins. I'm using fiat to buy stuff, and sometimes I use stablecoins, but I'm not keeping them for too long. Of course USD stablecoins are good for holding if you live in countries where fiat currency is way weaker than USD, but there are still a lot of other better options for that.

I don't really want to click on the link. But I do know what I would do if BTC hits $1,000,000. I would buy a house, and then I would buy back BTC when it dumps.

Re: Why we need to buy meme coin?
by
big kid
on 07/03/2024, 10:02:09 UTC
Sometimes I just think about the fact that meme coins can be very dangerous but can make someone exceptionally rich over night. It takes a strong mind to invest in meme coins and keep them for a long time. Especially those investors who have a lot of money to invest in cryptocurrency, I believe they are the ones who take serious risks in investing in meme coins. Personally, I do not like meme coin because I am a long term investor, but I could try it sometimes. I have had some thoughts about it, like I said. However, I will use money i know I do not care if I lose it or profit from it.

Well, memecoins are very speculative assets, and their price is based only on hype, so long-term investment doesn't really work in that space I think. It can only work as you throw the money you don't need and don't expect profit from it, it just might come.

Re: Cryptospace influencer fight!!! Bitboy versus More Light!!!!!!
by
big kid
on 24/02/2024, 10:56:50 UTC
Bitboy, oh Bitboy. He really is a mess isn’t he. Super early Bitcoin adopter but has sanity issues & is partial to a shitcoin scam & rug pull. It’s sad really, he had an opportunity to really use his online platform to educate people & push for crypto adoption. Some people can’t deal with the responsibilities that come with being very rich & he’s one of them. He has a massive list of fuck ups, drug addiction, arrests, rug pulls & he left his wife for an employee. I don’t wish him any serious harm but if he’s fighting I hope he loses.

He's definitely a mess. I thought I would never hear about him again. I don't really like him either, not gonna watch it or the news about it, I just hope he will lose but will be fine.

Even Doge couldn't hit $1, and I don't think that it will ever reach this level. Why would some copy of it get there?

by

DCA is great. You don't need to worry too much, I'm trying to find the best moment to buy BTC every month, but even if it dips after that - I know that it will recover. The only time when I was investing like madman was when BTC was below $20,000 last year. That was a good time.

It's almost not possible to have "enough" Bitcoin or just money in any form. Where is the line? I don't know, but it shouldn't stop us.
