Never seen pool luck for the month below 95% damn  Embarrassed Embarrassed

On a side note, the amount of people that have been mining here for more than a little while that dont know how the scoring system works at all continues to amaze me.

OK so that is what happens to block 18290. It looks like you were mining only first 3 minutes of that block. So this is normal. But I don't get it why you got double from block 18291 since you didn't increase hashes... Did you change anything? The only thing I can think of that could be is a difficulty error in a score system and you change it from 2 to 1. But I guess someone would report that already... Looks really strange...

I haven't changed anything. so it's kind of confusing. Also, I'm on difficulty 6

Losing most of my reward for a short disconnect seems to be very unfair in my opinion. I would really appreciate if slush would explain what happened.

This is the way the scoring method works in order to prevent pool hopping. As the round goes on, shares from earlier in the round have less and less value until they are worth absolutely nothing, so if you only work for the beginning of the round and then disconnect, it is possible to get 0 reward even though you have submitted shares.

Read up on the "Slush method" of scoring for more detail

TL;DR for entire last 10 pages: If you dont like slush' pool then leave, no one is requiring, or even asking, for you to stay. Especially this Lucko guy who doesnt even mine with most of his equipment here, yet bitches and moans more than anybody else.

Didn't Slush fixed that problem? Anyway some pool admins are doing upgrade to 0.8.2 that should help with invalid problems. So Slush do it ASAP...

Invalids are bound to happen occassionally whether there are issues or not; The issue was a slow network connection before that caused us to have a much higher than normal invalid rate. That has been solved but we should still expect a few invalids a week or so.

BTC for now, but make sure your rig is LTC ready because in 4-6 months, GPU mining will be rather impractical most likely

This. Same issue when i began and installed the new catalyst suite and everything worked

You need to install the Ati Open CL drivers so it can be used as a processor instead of a GPU.

Yeah actually i was at about .051 total rewards before the outage and after mining throughout i logged on today to find i had less than .05 in my total rewards with no payout. Now i am back to about .052 but still should be higher after a couple days of mining
