Re: PAYPAL FORMER EMPLOYEE, CREATING A NEW CURRENCY?
by

on 03/11/2018, 20:02:19 UTC
Well if im getting you right this new blockchain based initiativeQ project is not by the official paypal company rather it is announced by a previous employee and important team member from paypal but now he is working on his own project and paypal does not have anything to do with it.

Exactly; the link made it known that it's from a former employee of the company,  not the main company.
Thanks for that correction.

PAYPAL FORMER EMPLOYEE, CREATING A NEW CURRENCY?
by
bigchuks
on 03/11/2018, 17:04:50 UTC
It is obvious that the cryptocurrency community is really having an uphill task with the bear market we all are witnessing.

The last thing we need now will definitely be a competition , as we urge all hands to be on deck in every little way to witness an end of the year bull run, even if it's for a week.

Just today, i got a link from a friend in Canada bearing a campaign about Paypal former employee's plan to launch it's own currency called the Q.

I wanted to believe this innovation will be blockchain and crypto based, but my conviction seems to be deluding me.

Since the link is more of a campaign, i'll stay away from pasting it here,  except if am authorised to.

Please house,  what do you make of this?

Stock market Forex Market Commodity market Economy Cryptocurrency to Panasonicmicrowaveoven began to trust. Poland has introduced a new bill, the Cryptocurrency began to trust. Poland introduced a new bill August 29, 2018, 16: 20 Read: 411 the country's Government, which has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on a campaign against digital money, can introduce loyal tax legislation the Polish Authorities introduced a new cryptocurrency bill, which details the taxation of transactions with digital money, writes Bitcoin.com mmm. It can be approved in the third quarter of 2018, the government plans to simplify the procedure for paying taxes from such activities. In the document, officials divided the concepts of cryptocurrency and centralized currency. It States that the new type of asset can be a means of payment, stored, transferred electronically and used in e-Commerce. The Polish government does not plan to tax cryptocurrency transactions, but the income from the sale of property, services and goods related to digital money, users will have to pay capital gains tax. Citizens will have to fill in the Declaration and submit it once a year. Earlier, the Central Bank of Poland spent more than $ 250 thousand on a campaign against digital money. The government planned to introduce a tax on any transactions with digital money, even unprofitable, but received in response a lot of negativity and revised its position.

I cant help but laugh at the news and the Fear of Uncertainty and Doubt(FUD) affecting several week hands in the community.

It's only a matter of time and Bitcoin will go Mainstream.

The news is one of the needed measures aimed at enhance the usage of cryptocurrency; which will in-turn bring more value to the community.

I see more countries towing this same path; not just because of legislation but associated benefits which they have been missing out on.

I see the ending of 2017 repeating it'self in terms Bitcoin appreciation in value.

Re: steemit around 6 times as actively used cryptocurrency as bitcoin
by
bigchuks
on 31/08/2018, 20:42:55 UTC
I don't think that comparison is fair in anyway.
Bitcoin is basically aimed at executing transactions and hardly will compete with social media in terms of activities.
That cryptocurrency is been battled hits more on bitcoin; with the filters of the effects rubbing off on altcoins.

Whether there is a transaction or not, we must go through one or more articles, post our own articles; either through content creation for bounties or for other purposes.

You get paid for taking part in hobbies that you love; resulting to an expanded community.
I doubt if the holders of bitcoin compares to the massive size that holds steem dollars.

Let's not be too critical of Bitcoin; if the government wants to kill it off why should the community go the same direction?

Re: What is your favorite ICO at the moment?
by
bigchuks
on 31/08/2018, 16:16:44 UTC
You didn't give the criteria for choosing the favorite.

In terms of product offering; i will go for outofthecloud.com

How can you see a project that offers you something similar to Facebook, Google and Amazon and be looking elsewhere. We are talking about an industry that is worth trillions in dollars.

A look at their ICO offerings is really very promising and they have good measures to ensure a stable and appreciating tokens through their business models.

I just spoke my mind, and will urge you to do your personal research before pushing in your fund anywhere.

Well, your question is really tempting, in the sense that many people will want to cash in on the bull run.
On a second thought, you can can go down the memory lane and see how many people sold off their Bitcoin at the slightest appreciation.

I believe a lot of them regretted that action today.

What i will do;
device a percentage to keep and sell off the other.
Either way, i wont loose out. Grin

Re: Why KYC is important?
by
bigchuks
on 31/08/2018, 15:54:25 UTC

KYC is simply an acronym for; "Know Your Customer"
I don't see anything wrong with it provided the process is decentralized and the data not accessible to questionable characters and data harvesting groups out to violate people's privacy.

The excuse that cryptocurrencies should be anonymous has made questionable characters to utilize it in laundering public fund, deal on illicit drugs among others.

These acts should be discouraged by bringing in KYC to the ICO business.

Re: Project without team members
by
bigchuks
on 31/08/2018, 15:46:48 UTC
The make up of a team behind a project is no doubt very necessary.
It is one of the parameters that helps the cryptocurrency communities to know if a project can fly and whether the ICO will sell.

When a project is not ready to reveal their team, coming to raise fund from the public becomes suspicious. They should as well raise their funds anonymously, since they laid that foundation in the first place.

For me; a project without a team is tending towards a scam as there is no one you can point to and say he is behind such project.

Re: how much you can profit from altcoins
by
bigchuks
on 31/08/2018, 15:39:16 UTC
I want to find out why everybody wants to invest in altcoins, what I want to ask is, how much money did you get from altcoins so far?

Going by your question; i'd say that it depends on a few factors such as;

The solution the project is providing:
If the project have a well needed solution in the society; they'll have loads of people yearning for their token. While that will maintain the stability of a coin, there is a tendency for a consistent rise in the value of the coin.

The competitive advantage they have in the industry:
Where there is a competition in the industry, the competitive advantages will make them to become favorites to clients and hence; increased  patronage of their services; which will no doubt have positive impacts on your investments when you buy into their coin

Your knowledge level in cryptocurrencies:
This is what will make you to even spot the right coin in the first place and know when to HODL and when to sell. With a very good knowledge, you'll do very well in the market

How much you have to invest
With the above highlights addressed and raring to go, the capital you have with you will go a long way in helping you maximize good opportunities.
Take for instance an investment that have 200% return on investment; someone who has bigger capital will make more profit from the other that have minimal capital.

This goes to show that the amount someone can make will always vary.
There is no rigid valuation to that as far as cryptocurrency is concerned

Re: best upcoming ICO
by
bigchuks
on 31/08/2018, 15:20:05 UTC
Hi experts,

1)which all are the upcoming ICO's.
2)which all re worthy in upcoming icos.

My brother, there're hundreds of ICO's that will soon be announced.
It's good how you asked the question in the first place to get public opinion.
I'd urge you to see these opinions as a tip which they're and research for yourself with the parameters that determines the success of an ICO such as product offering, team, competition, etc.

With that, i dont see you falling into any situation that will make you shout; "had i known"

Take personalized actions and bear the responsibility!

Note: I'll adjudge you to take a look at https://outofthecloud.com/
You'll be pleased to be part of a project that will bring you close to the reputation of techs like Facebook, Google, Amazon, etc.

Re: Don’t panic!
by

on 31/08/2018, 02:24:48 UTC
How will you come to tell the weak hands in our midst not to panic when they have a purpose they're serving to the community?

The act of panicking is very much beneficial to investors and Long holders of crypto, as they utilize that opportunity to buy more at a cheaper rate. No doubt the advice is a very good one, but how many people will heed to it?

I will be amazed having more than 50% of the crypto community pay heed to this call of yours.

Cryptocurrency is self regulated based on the many activities surrounding it.Let's not push things artificially.

Re: How long will bounty programs stay with us?
by
bigchuks
on 31/08/2018, 02:14:36 UTC
There has been so many projects that succeeded without engaging in bounties.
There is No doubt saying that bounties have their own positive impacts on projects but projects; but most bounty hunters do shalow jobs and expect been rewarded for that.

I have gone through some contents created by people and comments made on this forum; some of us couldn't even express themselves in good English, how much more showing and displaying tact and intelligence in their engagements of the process.

To your question; as long as bounties still yield the needed impact and as long as there is no monopoly in the  organisation of ICO campaigne, bounty hunting will always thrive.

Re: Lower circulating supply of tokens, It is good or bad?
by
bigchuks
on 30/08/2018, 16:13:09 UTC
my school economics made it clear that when a commodity is scarce, there's a tendency for the price to go up.
That of cryptocurrency is not far from this principle else; why do you think people are needed to buy into a token? is it not to buy up and create such scarcity. Some projects like the inmusik will even encourage you to hold on their coin for longer period.

Dude; you're right!
But at the loss of project owners who may not get enough fund to complete their projects

This is no doubt a cheering news for the cryptosphere. The masterstroke will make the crypto market market more appealing to other investors, make cryptocurrency readily usable and easily acceptable by rigid fiat fans. With more of this exploit i see the crypto market having an edge in the fiasco being prompted up by various government proponents.
Many of such adventures are what we need in driving the needed pump in the crypto market.

Nice one.

Re: Does crypto bring more risk than benefit?
by
bigchuks
on 25/08/2018, 09:21:11 UTC
Central bank Governor of Spain has told the cryptos bring more risk than the benefits to get. but I believe on more risk more gain theory. If you can not trust crypto, you will not be able to see its value. Risk is associated with all kinda business. It just has to be calculated properly that which one would be profitable for you.

please share your thoughts in favor of mine statement or against.

He may be talking from the perception that a bigger chunk of people going into the crypto business lacks the requisite knowledge and skills to adapt. In such situation; crypto is bound to be a risky business.

Which profession do you think one can enter without the requisite skills? Electricity business is even worse yet we embrace it; why cant we embrace crypto as well?

i'm a fan of that school of thought.
How do you expect conscientious investors to come and invest into a system that will contribute to several societal vices.
Most of these investors oversees huge charity contributions etc.

For the sake of humanity, KYC and other minor regulatory hurdles should be well embraced.

When such gets achieved, the outside world will take us more seriously and invest strongly in the system.
At that point; proceeds of fund already invested in the system will also start paying off.

Re: future of crypto ?
by
bigchuks
on 25/08/2018, 03:00:28 UTC
Cryptocurrency is built on the foundation of a decentralized infrastructure. In that regard; i don't see banks playing any unique role in it tomorrow, except as an intermediary for conveyance and exchange of fund.

As regarding tomorrow; i see a cryptocurrency that is better harmonized and free from fraudulent  ICOs, owing to better regulations.

When this is achieved, i see investors pumping in fund into the system resulting in the market been headed for the moon.
