Just in case there is any doubt that CaptChadd/David Spanton is a fraudster, huckster and all around scamster. Scott Daverno has been a figment of David Spanton's imagination since 2008. Here is the Facebook link and a screenshot for when its taken down.

Why hasn't this been updated past 0.6.x? I'll do it myself if whoever is acting like a dev doesn't.

I'm going to set up another P2Pool node as well.

This thread seems to be more relevant than ever: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=307923.0

figroll, has an updated Windows build with checkpoints and a few other fixes. It is currently being thoroughly tested. It should drop soon Smiley

Another P2Pool  would be great!

They are not scammers. There sight is just overloaded which is causing lots of problems. I have been able to withdraw BTC. If you get an error give it about an hour and try again.

-- No stratum BBQCoin Pools
-- Client download tosses errors about missing dlls for windows
-- Lack of information with respect to the network and block chain

"Client download tosses errors about missing dlls for windows" I have never heard of this problem before, sounds like a machine specific error. "Lack of information with respect to the network and block chain" What information exactly.

*Edit - Working stratum pool http://www.guugll.eu:13327/static/

Yes this is annoying. Captchadd is no longer working on BBQCoin. BBQCoin.org is not the official site. Captchadd has been unwilling to either sell the site or redirect the url appropriately. Redirecting user to bloatware/scamware is ridiculous. You should call CaptChadd out on this directly.

Please let us know what pools are not paying out. I am mining to http://p2pool.bbqcoin.darkgamex.ch:19324/ and my payouts are fine.

They explain the situation, it's just in Chinese Smiley

因系统负荷较高,虚拟币提取暂停,稍后开启,请给我们一点时间,感谢您谅解和支持。

All my withdraws have now gone through. Both Bitcoin and BBQCoin.

Given your mining speed you should use a pool. Try this pool, use your bbqcoin address for the username and anything will work for the password.

http://p2pool.bbqcoin.darkgamex.ch:19324/
username: "bqc address"
password: "password"

bar b q coin? You can't be serious. This is a real thing?

Pretty sure that's what everybody thinks the first time the hear it. Some of these names really don't do cryptocurrencies any favours.

Why do you think BBQCoin was featured in the WSJ? The name is "sticky"and thats why it stands a chance of succeeding. :)is

Also Cryptsy.com has better BBQCoin volume. Try trading them there.

What is the advantage of a P2P pool?

I prefer when I can get some kind of a dashboard
This has a good description.
http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/3626/what-is-the-p2pool

Also there are stats its just different than a traditional pool.

what's the deal at the website.
click, "get client", it goes to some other website that has nothing to do with bbqcoin.

I started this up after a month or 2 of no mining and 1) if gives me a 'runaway exception' and I figured out it doesn't like my wallet, which has about 5000 coins in it. Although 5000 bbqcoins is nothing, really and literaly)

The number (wallet address)  is correct for a bbq wallet.
so who screwed the pooch?

the blockchain explorer shows my wallet to be correct, also, with the transactions in it.

I deleted the entire directory with the data in it, and it goes through the blockchain, but ehrn I put my wallet back, it bombs, with the "runaway exception" error.

so,. how do I recover them?
thanks

CaptChadd owns bbqcoin.org and he is done with BBQCoin use bbqcoinfoundation.org in the future or this sourceforge link.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/bbqcoin/

For your wallet. Did you backup your private key? Did you backup the wallet.dat file?

But on the other pool (BigBBQ), it seems like they don't pay the shares (less than one BBQ in nearly a day) and, on "digBBQcoin", you can't register if yiou have a "-" in your email...

Stand by. K1773R is setting up a new p2pool server right now. Once its up we will will put up the info!

I found that but Idk how to configure the mining without stratum

BTW, what would I lose without stratum?

I dont think bqcpool is working. Tried mining to it last night. For about an hour I had accepted shares but nothing shows on the pool front end.
