Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3
by

Can someone help me with my really low hash rate please?

I have a few rigs running Ethos and Claymore 11.3 and the hashrates for XMR per card are about +/- 700. Cards are RX470 and RX580. I have a Windows 10 rig with 6x RX 480 cards that I've now installed Claymore 11.3 on and got it up and running, but the cards are only hashing at about 370 each which is almost half of what they are doing on the Linux machines.

I can't figure out why. Cards have modded BIOS as per the other ones, core 1110 and mem 1980 and the same cards that are running double the hash rates on my Linux rigs.

My config is as such:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -xpool ssl://xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14433 -xwal  MyWalletAddressEtc -xpsw z -pow7 1

Thanks

Put -dmem 0 in your .bat file

NsGpuCNMiner.exe -xpool ssl://xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14433 -xwal  MyWalletAddressEtc -xpsw z -pow7 1 -dmem 0

Same issue as others.

Was absolutely fine for a few days, now one of my rigs is getting a ton of incorrect shares without me touching a single setting.

Could this be a Cryptonight v7 issue?

I'm using 6 x mixture of 470/480 and seeing the exact same thing for all of my cards :

1628   GPU 4, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -4
etc etc...

Then the miner quits.

Hi Telep.
Hello friends, I think the reason is that, as explained by Calymore, version 11.3 does not support the 500 series: "This version is for recent AMD videocards only: 7xxx, 2xx, 3xx and 4xx, 1GB or more."

The experts of this forum could expand if this statement is true. Thank you

Anyone with this error message?:

This will become listed in Bittrex, because Bittrex only accept no premine coins. So good luck and more mining.

I like this project but don't talk crazy.

"Bittrex only accept no premine coins", but they are quite happy to list tons of ERC20 tokens where the developers hold billions of coins?

Come on dude....

After about 20 hours now, the effective hashrate is about 5% lower than the reported hashrate.

However, that's not to say it isn't normal. I have some machines running Claymore that are 4-6% lower as well, but also some machines on Claymore that are 3-5% higher. I will switch a 8x gpu mining rig to phoenix, run it for 48 hours and report back.

Absolutely agree, I'm not sure pool figures can be relied upon as gospel.

In fact several hours later and my pools stats are now reporting about 10% MORE than the miner is reporting.

I can live with that lol Smiley

You guys should monitor the actual effective hashrate over an extended period of time (like 48+ hours), which I'm trying to do right now. After 16 hours, the effective hashrate of Phoenix is still below the reported hashrate. Perhaps it's bad luck, perhaps it's not.

No offense to anyone but we should take the reported hashrate with a grain of salt. It's literally just a string.

Backing this up with my own findings too. What the miner reports and the what the pool reports are two very different things.
Pool hashrate is about 15% lower than what the software is claiming after 9+ hrs straight of mining.

Anybody else finding this?

Can anyone confirm this is still faster than Claymore given that Claymore v11 is out and claims improvements to hash rate?

Been thinking of switching miner for quite some time now.

Yes, it is faster than Claymore. I'm getting almost 0.7MH/s more out of each of my cards, not crazy but certainly better especially when you consider the lower devfee.

But the thing that has impressed me the most so far is how stable it is. This thing is like a rock, once you set it off you can just forget about it.
From the second you click your BAT file, and you see how fast the thing loads and starts mining, you'll instantly get a sense of how stable this software is.
Not just the software too, my GPUs haven't crashed once since using this yet, something that used to happen a lot with Claymore.

I was having so much trouble with Claymore crashing 2 - 3 times a day for various reasons, this is like a breath of fresh air.

My only criticism is that it doesn't seem to find as many shares as Claymore does. Of course this could just be bad luck but will keep an eye on it.

Try -lidag 3 as extra option

Thanks bro, trying this now, so far so good, although my hashrate is about 1MH/s per card lower than they should be. -nofee is disabled

Use Claymore v11 with -allcoins 1. It's completely free with <=2GB cards, so no Dev fee to worry about. Now that ASIC's are out for DCR, you are much better off mining XVG with ~600% better profitability. You can also convert the XVG to HODL DCR if you want to.

Ahh I didn't know that, thanks!

One issue though, 3 of my RX560's are 4GB cards (10 x 2GB , 3 x 4GB), is that going to cause issues as the 4GB cards will try to mine ETH right?

Mining Ubiq with 2GB cards.

Hey guys,

I've set up a 13 x RX560 2GB card rig and I'm mining Ubiq / DCR with it.

The trouble is every time the dev fee kicks in it crashes the miner as the cards can't load the ETH DAG.

I've tried setting :

-allcoins ubiq (warning about having to use -allcoins 1)
-allcoins 1 (crashes the miner when the devfee tries to mine ETH)

I've had to revert to -nofee 1 just to stop the miner crashing but is there another option I'm missing that will tell the devfee to mine Ubiq instead of ETH?

Getting the following with every version of Clay since, and including, 9.8 :

Single mining UBIQ.

Works fine for any length of time from 1hr to 24hrs and then crashes after a long line of :

Quote
ETH: job is the same

According to the logs.

Anybody know what is causing this?

Could it be a faulty card or riser?

One of my 470's (all ref version) is running much hotter than the others, they all pretty much stay around 55 - 65 degrees but this one is constantly running at 74 - 75. I've dropped the power limit on it to bring it down to about 67 and also tried turning this card off altogether but still getting crashes so not sure if this is even relevant.

I have 3 other rigs that are working absolutely fine, it's only this one giving me grief.

Specs : 1 x RX480, 5 x RX470 - Win 10, Crimson (08/08/17) v.22.19.659.0, Any Clay version from 9.8 up to 11.

by
biggee

Updated to v0.9.0 as the stats were no longer loading (php 7)

New update obviously didn't install php 7 so it's still not working.

Ssh'd into the pi and it's taken about 5 minutes so far just to do an apt-get update

I've read above that you are using forced browser mining now (to make some cash - nothing wrong with that), but having this process run while trying to simply update the repo list (which is what I assume is making my pi run like a Zx81) is just ridiculous.

It's obviously caning all of the pi's resources.

Are there any plans to remove this forced mining in newer versions and maybe introduce a premium version instead? If not, Minera is no longer of any use to me as this is just crazy.

Re: Do I need to verified my bittrex account ?
by
biggee
on 19/10/2017, 15:04:32 UTC
since around august this year, bittrex requires every new user to complete the basic verification. the account without passing verification is pretty much useless since the withdrawal limit is very low

Nope, the withdrawal limit isn't low, it's zero, nothing, nada.

Without verification you can't withdraw a single penny.

No verification = lost money.
It's only happens if you have created the account on Aug 1 or after that. You can read on their announcement about daily limit

Quote
Please check below to see what limit your account falls under.
Unverified Accounts created before 08/01/17: 0.025 BTC (or equivalent) per day
Unverified Accounts created on or after 08/01/17: 0 BTC (or equivalent) per day
Basic Accounts: 3 BTC (or equivalent) per day with two-factor enabled.
Enhanced Accounts: 100 (or equivalent) BTC per day with two-factor enabled

A friend I advised to get a Bittrex account did indeed sign up after Aug 1, but wasn't make aware that they wouldn't be able to withdraw anything without verification when they signed up.

This is bullshit.

Re: Bittrex Unverified User - Be Careful ! 0.025 BTC Withdrawal Limit without Warnin
by
biggee
on 17/10/2017, 20:50:10 UTC
Hey guys im thinking about creating a bittrex account.  So if i do not have a verified account, how many bitcoin or altcoins can i send to my account to switch for bitcoin or another altcoin like ETH?  I assume back then you could do up to 3btc in trades per day whether btc to ETH or vice versa?  But now its max 0.025 btc?  Can someone confirm this is what is meant by it?

No, if you don't verify your account you will have NO access to any funds you send there, and no way to withdraw them.

0 BTC per day for unverified users.

I have no idea why Bittrex have done this but it fucking sucks and the fact that they don't tell you about this when you sign up has to warrant some kind of customer complaint process.

I told a friend to sign up for an account, they transferred a bunch of various assets over, now they can't withdraw any of them without going through Bittrex's verficiation process, which as all of you outside of the USA will know, is totally pointless as ALL non-US verifications fail without supplying serious ID docs (driving license, utility bills etc).

Basically, if you open a Bittrex account, send assets there and then don't verify your account you have just lost your money.

Sorry for the multiple posts but things certainly aren't well.

Hashrate is completely mental.

Dashboard is reporting 1Gh/s for 6 Gridseed Blades, lol I wish!

It's correct on the actual pool though.

Appreciate you trying to fix this Michele.

I didn't hit the new git pull but I do have some advice that may potentially helps others.

I completely reset minera back to factory settings, removing everything (Pi v1 - haven't tried this on my v2 or v3 yet) and everything seems to be working again now with one pool defined in the list. (0.8.1 / cdgmaxizeus running 6 Blades / 12 boards).

It's much faster with page loads now too.

Maybe the new versions aren't very happy with a big long pool list?

Could it be that Minera checks all pools in the list (even if they are disabled) which is causing issues - with dead pools for example?

One of the issues I was having previously was that I couldn't add or delete any pools.

Maybe the JSON file is getting screwed up?

EDIT - Sorry I jumped the gun... The miner is running but the dashboard isn't loading again Sad

Also the CSS is all out of whack (as pictured previously in this thread) on the pool settings page. See Image.
