Because if you hold more then 1 million IOTA it is important to talk with the developers about the future of IOTA. It's not buying a bag and being pigheaded. Foundation will allow events like the deal to happen continuously. Keep perspective in mind. The 'big deal' is indeed more time sensitive, but the Foundation need to raise its funds before big news can be released due to the inevitably rise in value, which will trigger illusory 'loss aversion' and make it borderline impossible to raise the amount for foundation.
So again: keep the big picture in mind.
