Why not? Who are you to set the timeframe. You have no clue what they are doing, and have no part in what they are doing either - so what the hell?
He mean that people have been waiting almost 6 months last summer after KnC rumour until lyra2e has come, but algorithm change could not save VTC from hard dump, market included investor and miners losing interest in vtc. he was afraid that during this long period we could have more dump and dump
Elasticity Timeline Vertans, We have been hard at work
Quote
Vertans,
We have been hard at work plotting the details of the elasticity implementation and are finally at a point where we feel comfortable announcing a target release time-frame.
We expect to have the new elastic distribution model completed within 4 months. As we get closer to the target we will be able to provide more details that so many of you are eager to have!
Okay, good. I was a little worried, there. 7990 is pretty nice, even my 290X can only hit 560 so far, so that card still has a leg up on it.
Thanks to your help with mod kernel and incredible wallpapers (you know what i mean ) in feather topic P/S: I immediately donated to you a small amount FTC at this time!
Jeeeezus. 7990 should get more than that - my 270X does 270kh/s Neoscrypt. Since 7950 gets around 250kh/s on the stock code (low estimate), I'd expect the 7990 to at least hit 390kh/s - 400kh/s.
i mean 318kh/s per core, approximately 740kh/s/ 7990 in Neo, 2mh/s with lyra
My Lyra hash rate is 7900kH/s with 950W power consumption, or 8.3kH/J. My Neoscrypt hash rate is 2000kH/s with 870W power or 2.3 kH/J. Is your efficiency better than that?
1- 318kh/s Neoscrypt at minimum 1080 vcore, some time must also increase slightly to 1100 vocre ( depend on mem clock, vga asic, vendor ram, etc 2- lyra 1m/s at 1000 vcore
Yes - in my case lyra cooler and more Energy efficiency
I use more power in Lyra because I use higher Vcore and higher memory frequency. You use less power in Lyra because you use lower Vcore and lower core frequency. So maybe Lyra uses similar power as Neo.
so plz try different config to get max speed and less power, may be your problem in catalyst and OS driver version, or mem/core ratio and other setting like intensity, worksize. We tried trix, giga, ref 79xx,asus,pcs,msi and among them run stable at undervolt and high speed dont worry maybe in the next few days you'll be able to get better results. sorry about my poor english!
That does not prove that Lyra uses less power. Your friend uses lower voltage and frequency in Lyra.
we used less vcore to get max speed with Lyra, for example 0.95~1 volt. But in order to get max speed in Neo, we should run at least 1060 ~1100 . ( i tesed many different types of vga) - People who could not run Lyra at max speed and less power need to tweak and waste a lot of time to figure out what optimize config to run.
I measured the power consumption. With same core, different memory frequency (750/1500MHz (Lyra) vs 750/1000MHz(Neo)), but higher voltage (880mV vs 840mV) Lyra is about 10% more than Neo. 950W compared to 870W with Neo. That is with 4X7990. I cannot run Lyra with the same voltage as it is not stable.
my friend could run 7990 at 870/1500 ~ 1mb/s at 1.00 vcore, temp 47~52 but in Neo he should run at 1040/1500 ~ 318kh/s at 1080 vcore or higher, temp 57~65 ( at the same ambient temp with lyra)
in this case your 7990 require a lot more vcore to run stable compared with neoscrypt, but it doesnt mean that lyra eat more power
Does anyone here mine vtc on Coinotron? Why does the reported hashrate on the website only half of what is supposed to? No rejected shares either, all shared accepted on the miner with no hardware error. Three workers all reporting half hashrate (and the data will keep refreshing), but never reached full hashrate, always half of what i'm seeing on the miner. And it only affects vtc, previously i was using ftc and it worked just fine.
Did i just mine there for a full day but paid only in half ? Could someone clarify this?

** Hash rates and number coins/day estimations are based on number of shares submitted within last 60 min. These estimations might be quite inaccurate for slow miners.
