Reversal Trading: Market Psychology & Meta-Trading Strategies
by
bill gator
on 23/03/2025, 22:03:59 UTC
"Markets exploit crowd psychology; intentionally triggering stop-loss hunts & fake breakouts to generate volatility & liquidity"

  • Stop hunts, liquidity grabs - aren’t accidents. Markets are engineered to prey on emotion and most retail traders are just exit liquidity for smarter money playing a different game entirely.

  • How “retail traps” are set and triggered & how to spot them before they snap shut

  • Why thinking like a whale is the ultimate edge in rigged markets

  • Timing high-risk, high-reward reversals with stacked signals (not hunches)

  • Using advanced tools like VWAP, OBV, order flow, and multi-timeframe structure to front-run emotional traders

  • Real strategies for scaling in/out, managing risk like a pro, and surviving volatility without getting chopped up

  • This isn’t for beginners. It’s for traders tired of getting juked at every key level; traders who’ve been around long enough to know the game is rigged, but still want to beat it.

Something I threw together while working on a personal project & I'm wondering if you guys would enjoy more posts like this? Been developing an AI-Enhanced Trading Bot & I can't think of a more fitting audience to watch it unravel.

Gloves are on haha. I read it and was like wtf i don't even manage bounties.

I'll take that as a sign to work on my forum-humor - especially when I remember how tense things are around here, sometimes.

I wanted to throw in a 4th, "Definitely not that one", option - to lighten the mood & achieved the opposite  Grin

On rare occasions, I've had contrary evidence presented to me and I have modified my reports to match.  The howlers and nay-naysayers choose not to remember that - rather to develop a closed mentality bordering on psychosis.

It's easier to dismiss the caricature they've created

If there is evidence of alts gaming the system by meriting users to make their 4 from 4 quota will you take action to exclude them from selection?

Yes: if anyone sees that, please make a topic in Meta about it.

But who holds our feet to the fire?

The new change is a +1 from me, gator approved

4. yahoo62278 is eliminating the competition

I have not tried to manage a bounty for years so your theory of me eliminating competition is laughable.

Worry about yourself before worrying about me.

Wait, was that not obviously a joke?  Sad

You've always been good to me, professionally & personally; always been one of the most well-respected managers.

It's my first day back & I wasn't trying to pick a fight, I swear.

If people choose not to believe evidence, then you have to ask yourself why they are in denial which is a discussion for another thread.

Perhaps it is the rigidity that defines you, albeit admirably - old friend, that provokes a better question for us to explore (in another thread); If people choose to believe evidence in contradiction to proof, then you have to ask yourself the same, eh? Smiley

Needless to say, I am not affiliated with Hamilton in any way. I have nothing in common with him. I don't even know him.
Hope you understand thanks.

I honestly don't believe him, but let's see how things unfold. There must be solid evidence to convict him.

I also don't believe him.

At "first glance" (skimmed thread), it sounds like either -

1. Manager is fluffing the numbers for their own benefit (hoping nobody would pay attention).
2. Hamilton is Scamming
3. Alts Flooded the Campaign & Manager is trying to keep it quiet (for their reputation, future work & current pay).
4. yahoo62278 is eliminating the competition

There's a reason that there's only a handful of escrows, campaign managers & currency exchangers that have stood the test of time (so far); Protect yourself at all times, gentlemen.

Nuff sed?

No; I literally grew up on this forum.. I've been around long enough & seen enough to know that you're not saying anything.

Without reading the entire thread, or doing any research: Did you get denied for a campaign?

There's always some disgruntled newbie, picking fights above their weight-class & that didn't even do the homework

I have PayPal & I'm interested in purchasing BTC

Looking to do semi-regular exchanges, moving forward - but in a way that doesn't over-expose either party to unnecessary risk.

Finally back on the scene, able to participate & want to put some resources back where they belong (BTC).

Hoping to start at somewhere around $100 - $250 as a one-time exchange; any interest?

I appreciate you taking the time to bring this to my attention. Unfortunately, I've already noticed this auction and decided that if a roll is going for 0.065BTC+ then I'm going to have to resort to purchasing individual chips for now.

OP has been updated to reflect what I'm looking for more concisely - It's a shame I couldn't win that recent Kialara auction, but we'll get 'em next time!

Thank you to everyone that has reached out so far, and thank you to the couple people that I've been able to make deals with.

i have the papersafe marble paperweight autographed by the team only 1 in the world if your interested

That is certainly interesting, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay you what it is worth or what you'd be happy to receive for it.

Recently got my hands on a Samsara and a set of daybreak coins - so, if anybody has a goddess coin they might be willing to part with that would be perfect to complete the set.

For Kialaras, I'm most keen on getting an "Original" design or a "Hydra" design.

Still on the hunt for suggestions, as well - thanks for everyone that's reached out so far. I have updated OP.

That 1hodlclub coin might be too rich for my blood at the moment, unfortunately.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I appreciate the discount for the forum members that you're offering, so thank you for that.

I sent you a PM early yesterday, but I would like to grab a 2018 Silver Single and a 2021 Copper Short-Roll.

I'll send payment when you confirm if these are still available!

Re: Gate.io shaddy activity

The thing is, do we know for sure this didn't happen?

I have no way of knowing whether or not this was actually the case; I was just speaking more broadly, that if there was no banner, then there should have been one.

I refuse to believe that Gate.io did not put out any warnings on the deposit page or even totally disable generating the deposit address as most exchange do once they announce that deposits have been suspended.

This is the same guy have the same issue with phemex too. I don't think it's a coincidence.

Any self-respecting entity would put up a message about services being temporarily suspended, maintenance messages have become a standard nearly everywhere and in every industry. I'm hoping that lotfiuser is just mistaken, and that this isn't another exchange operating beyond poorly. I still stand by my statement about avoiding exchanges like the plague, though.

If this user is having this problem with multiple exchanges and nobody else is having these issues with either exchange, then it's probably safe to say that it is a user issue.

Re: Kwik Trip To Install 800 New Bitcoin ATM
by
bill gator
on 18/05/2022, 12:28:19 UTC
I've always been conflicted about Bitcoin ATMs.

There are a million negatives that pop into my head, but I'm hoping that's just a bias that I've picked up throughout my life experiences.

  • My worry would be that anybody using these ATMs would be a target; either for a robbery on the spot or for a long-term casing and burglary.

I haven't ever personally used a Bitcoin ATM, but I've come across them occasionally and always wonder how secure they are.

  • When you use your credit card there is already a risk of credit card skimmers, which will still be a consideration; Any KYC Documents that are required by a Bitcoin ATM would also be subject to the same type of skimming.

Then you add the 11% fees on top of it and any software bugs that might result in you not receiving your coin or it being an unfavorable exchange rate.

The convenience of being able to exchange Bitcoin at an ATM, to me, is outweighed by the inconvenience of not being able to use the Bitcoin to purchase anything at the store the ATM is housed inside.

People have gotten used to $4 ATM fees to pull out $40 in cash so this is really not that much worse for smaller transactions.

I'd be willing to bet that if there was more of a customer-base, we would see Bitcoin ATMs transition to a flat fee like most USD ATMs.

While the title of your topic might be subjectively true, it is going to be extremely difficult for you to prove the claim within your first post, even if you're right.

It sounds like this would be a good example for why exchanges going forward should be more transparent and active when it comes to trading or deposit suspension. If I were running an exchange, that sort of information would be displayed where it is most important; if deposits are being suspended, then that should be glaringly obvious where the user would go to deposit their funds and it should be displayed as a notice as far in advance as possible.

I still stand by the idea that we should all avoid putting any coins on an exchange for any amount of time as much as possible.

Re: ThatsMod user scammer
by

When you are presenting a scam accusation such as this there are certain procedures to follow if you expect to get any traction or attention around here.

You can find guidelines and a template here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0

Something like this is difficult to parse through, because the PM they sent you was very undescriptive. "Being in Contact on Telegram" doesn't help me confirm that this particular user that you produced messages with; additionally I don't see any dates on the messages or the PM verification.

It would be easier to navigate this accusation if you provided direct links to the accused profile. I highly suggest only dealing with an escrow, unless there is extraordinary circumstances. More information on escrow guidelines can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133931.0

Unless you can provide more proof or something more compelling I'm not sure that you will get the desired outcome from this thread.
