Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017?
by

Currently after 8 months into 2017, bitcoin is priced at something that was x8-x10 it's value in the start of the year, additional growth and interest in number of users (both regular and businesses) and there has been an increase in the number of exchanges almost worldwide, with few exchanges in any country even less developed ones.

When you decide to buy and sell should entirely depend on the investor's opinion and analysis, if you don't trust that bitcoin is going to exceed the current value of aound $4,000 and continue rising, either on long or short term, it's better not to invest and risk regretting your decision to invest money into bitcoin at this time, Of course, the price can continue rising, but I believe the decision should be entirely based on your opinion, not external factors.

Re: Oh Shit! - Did the blockchain just stop??!!
by

I don't know where is that coming from, but no, I don't think so, blocks times are mostly almost random and skipping just an hour isn't an indicator for anything, and the difficulty changes according to the hashrate so that doesn't change anything.

Bitcoin cash? really?

Rooney's move was the least expected for me, I know his best football playing days are probably over but with the awful issue with Everton, I could have expected anything but him moving to Everton again.
On the other hand, They did sell their best player and got Rooney who isn't in his golden days, so it's not that good for them.

Re: TOP 20 Bitcoin Sportsbooks
by

First of all, Congratulations on making this list, although I find a big part of it not that necessary, There is no need for 20 sportsbooks for a single user and the "real" tops being NitrogenSports and Cloudbet with a rising role for Sportsbet.io is enough.

Re: Can we have a bitcoin day?

We can very easily self-proclaim one, by announcing it ourselves and celebrating it, if you mean getting it officially accepted through some authority then that would be hard, considering these days celebrate a relationship or something more than a currency or something like that.

Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ?
by

Probably for the same reason we users are here browsing bitcointalk.org, for it being an anonymous, decentralized open and transparent market, getting priced with demand and offer and hence has a volatile nature, suitable for use as a currency and to be traded against USD to generate profit.
These are all factors differentiating it from Fiat, which don't have none of those criteria.

Re: Does Bitcoin really need an ATM?
by

on 13/06/2017, 15:45:00 UTC
Currently ATM's have a very big market, the idea of buying coins through peer to peer exchanges are less tempting mainly due to the gigantic amount of fraud linked to it, and the risk of getting a fraudulent payment and suffering from it.
But on ATM's the transactions are easier and better to use overall and don't require ID's and verification like exchanges and much quicker.

Re: How do you keep your bitcoins?

I keep them mostly in Localbitcoins, They cover some of the fees so I prefer them than a regular wallet and the TX's are send in bulks hence they can afford to put 0.002 or more into fee for a bulk TX.
I think about using MultiBit HD, I like how it looks and the interface and options as well.

No one can entirely deny some bitcoins are being used for illegal activity, for example funding drug dealers and some other criminals, but these are punished themselves not bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a currency and should be treated as one, being used by bad people isn't hard to expect at all.

Re: Backing up an Electrum wallet

Any address that was made under a wallet through a seed is backed, you don't need anything except to import it in Electrum itself later or Blockchain as well,
You can back it as well, but the best methods is the seed, since you can use it with methods even other than Electrum.
Note that wallets used through importing Private keys directly aren't included in the seeds, these need a regular backup to keep them.

Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays?
by

Gambling and MLM, HYips's and ref share are just methods to scam or play money for a slight chance to win and cloud mining is mostly the same as well, at least gambling has a clear odds and probabilities unlike these wanna-be scams.
Trading USD and BTC are the genuine ways to get profit from BTC depending on your skill in trading.

Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long
by

on 13/06/2017, 12:04:26 UTC
Bitcoin is and will still be number one for a long time, even the current coins that look promising like ETH and Monero are very unlikely to take it's place right now, considering their prices as well as actual use is very much less than BTC regardless of their rise of price due to speculation.

Re: $8 fee? for a $73 transaction? Really what the fuc is going on?
by
bit-tard
on 13/06/2017, 11:16:29 UTC
The fees now are expensive, Agree to that. but these fees are not the normal unless there are complicated circumstances to that payment,
for a 222 byte payment to 1 party the fees is at max 0.0005 which is around $1.25 BTC, it's not cheap and it should be cents in maximum, but it's not as huge as 8 dollars.
also the issue is the fees would be the same for a 73 dollars or a million dollar TX, as soon as the number of addresses sending/receiving is the same.

That's nothing to make a fuss about IMO, bitcoin is volatile and the last time rise and drop showed that already, and the time when it dropped to $2100 etc etc..., regarding Altcoins, it's either following the BTC drop, people changing back to exchange to USD or a big trader sold some big altcoins.

Re: What do you feel when win in gambling?
by
bit-tard

I feel happy and genuinely satisfied that I won, of course that's the regular feeling after winning a bet, however if you lose you would feel angry, dissatisfied and decide never to bet on the player and team again "and bet them few days again while pretending not to remember".

Re: Cloudbet.com - bitcoin sportsbook and casino | BEST NFL and EPL odds anywhere!
by
bit-tard
on 28/02/2017, 16:04:33 UTC
is E-Sports available in Cloudbet.com ?

No yet right now, they need to integrate the e-sports betting platform so that they can have the e-sports betting. We know there are not many bookies offer e-sports but it will be in every bookie in 5 years.
Why would you need 5 years for any bookie to start offering e sports. Some of the major sports sites like bet 365 accepts e sports and if you could request the bitcoin bookies they might add that if there are enough people who are wagging e spots. It all depends upon the traffic and request  they get in each sports book.
to add, Nitrogensports has it, it's harder than normal games though since it would require multiple verification/ manula closing of line and manual postponing etc... because these happen so often with esports. anyway it is a sport and should be available in every book sooner than later.
