Any Casascius Peel dates coming up or anyone have any to report?

2025 Perhaps?

Interested in how this is progressing.

Thanks!

Is it better to store these in a box with little air flow and desiccants? (Those little "do-not-eat" packages)

Is a dry environment best or is a bit of moisture better?

Thanks!

Here is a thread that might be of interest to you in getting your answer

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5290065.msg55607089#msg55607089

That is great. Exactly what I was looking for. Also puts my mind at ease if I interpret it correctly, thanks!

If reasonably kept, is there any reason to worry that after several years the key will be unreadable or damaged when peeled?

What's the lifespan of the material it's printed on?

Thanks!

Why are these so "cheap?"

As far as I can tell most sales don't seem to include the fact that they include all bitcoin-forks since they were so early on the blockchain?

I'm not complaining as a buyer, but someday people will figure out these have value.

Is 1DKhbxAb an error coin?   From what I can tell "Casascius" is spelled "Casacius" in some places?

Can you confirm?

Thanks for the responses.

I will just wait a couple weeks; or split up the transactions as jackg suggested.

This account received hundreds of small spam transactions in 2015 from some unknown user, but its worth about $50 now; so was trying to consolidate without paying more than its value in fees.

I wish some of my other accounts would just receive random bitcoin too!   Smiley

Thanks again!

Hi,

Apologies if this has been posted, but I don't care about how long it takes as long as it is not infinity.

Is the transaction here likely to EVER complete based on historical past?

Also, I guess follow-up would be, if not and I don't care about timing, what is the minimum fee I can realistically include.

Thanks!

Thanks for the information on valuation.

Also, please reference the word "BTC multiplier" and valuation method in the header from the first post in this thread by user "Chainsaw".  I did not create it.

I was looking for previous sales and I found this post [ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=214589.0 ]  that has a table. The multiplier there is 2.33 for an ANACS MS-65 brass error coin.  However,  that was before bitcoin cash which at face value should be good for at least .1 based on today's prices.

I would rather just hold on to the error coin for 1.6BTC.     However, I have a non-error coin MS-65 I would sell for 1.6BTC.

I suppose that 2.5BTC would be the minimum bid that I would consider selling it for.

That is very old information and multipliers aren't relevant. I would try looking for recent sales, and even then you have to set your expectations lower since BTC has climbed rapidly recently.

You are correct it is old, but the multiplier was actually 8.0 for the error coin and 2.3 for the non error coin.

Either way the minimum bid is 2.5BTC.

Thank you everyone for the comments. The opinions have been posted and point has been made.

Now, either bid or do not.

How has the multiplier value of the recently sold changed now that they include BCH?

Hi,

I prefer BTC but will take alternative payments as well.

I am not sure what these are going for now since I believe they include BCH as well (buyer to verify).   3xBTC  4xBTC?  Please make an offer.

Also, I will take some additional pictures and post shortly.

Thanks!
