Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy?

Probably none because I will already have one million dollars  Grin

That's logical. If you're here to make money on crypto and you win a million then you have what you came for, why hang around. lol

For me too, one million dollars are not enough to make a business for life long earnings.
Bitcoin must be the good returning investment opportunity for modern generations. Instead of buying gold or investing into real estates, bitcoin must be a better option to invest big money like one million dollars.

Oh it is a way better option my friend.. We will all look back in 25 years and most of us will be slapping ourselves.

Given the average age of this forums membership, I'm pretty sure most of us are slapping ourselves in the shower every day.

Hahahaha quite true

Who 'Rules' Bitcoin E-Commerce The Way Amazon 'Rules' Fiat E-Commerce?
by
bitbay.com

We've been messed about twice now trying to sell in the Marketplace section of BitcoinTalk.org
In both cases, a person offered a price, we accepted and then the buyer went cold at the stage of going to Escrow.com

A trusted BitcoinTalk member inboxed me and suggested trying an online auction instead so I wanted to reach out and ask which auction host do BitcoinTalk members prefer for Bitcoin related items?

The item we're selling is a premium bitcoin domain name (and a bitcoin website but most people are interested in just the catchy 6 character domain name).
So our best options for this would usually be Sedo or GoDaddy auctions (but if anyone has a better option in mind, I'd be happy to hear about it).

What I'd really like to know is.. which auction websites do you prefer in general for all things purchased with bitcoin?

In your opinions, who 'rules' bitcoin e-commerce?
(& I mean 'rules' like the way amazon 'rules' e-commerce for most things purchased with fiat)

Well, looks like we're being messed about again by a buyer Sad

This is the second time someone has agreed to buy and then messed us about when it came to escrow.com
If the buyer hasn't resolved by lunch time (GMT) we'll probably look into starting an auction.

I've inboxed you both Smiley

We do have a good solid offer now. The buyer said he will send funds later today via Escrow.com

But until he does, I'll still consider other offers as I've already had one guy mess me around last week.

We're about to agree on one of the offers we've had today.

Inboxing everyone now  Smiley

By the way, those website valuations are very inaccurate to what people actually pay.

The domain name alone is worth much more than that if you ask a professional domain broker.

A little only. Perhaps 10k dollars or something like that.

I am into Bitcoin as an earning opportunity to help me get a living, but with one million I would already have more than enough. Buying 10 thouand dollars worth of Bitcoin is enough to "be there" if Bitcoin skyrockets, and does not mean much in a million dollar total.

Smart! 10k bitcoin is more than enough to "be there" as you said.

Buy a house in hawaii

My favourite reply here! lol I'd love to do that too!!

----------

I'd spend 5-10% on bitcoin myself.

I'm quite surprised at how many said they would invest 50% or more into bitcoin.
I mean, you have a million dollars.. how much more would you like to make back from investing in bitcoin?

Lets say you won the lottery..

You've just received a million dollars and are ready to do something with your new found money.

You have no CC debt to pay off and have an average mortgage for a working class citizen - maybe you have around $150,000 left to pay off for your house.

You're free to spend as you wish. And invest if you wish.

Would you buy a heap load of bitcoin to sit on?

If so.. how much?

The search box isn't finding anything that is obviously on the site, like Akrotiri or violin.

Thanks TheButterZone - this is now fixed Smiley

Thanks for the tip!

It seems to currently be case sensitive (works when using correct the case).

I'm working on a fix now.

Just a few questions: Why did you put this together...? Is it for spreading/adoption of bitcoin or do you think it will help the citizens of Greece?

As stated, EU will never let this go too far, e.g. starving people, and the left-wing government of Greece should pay their dept by reforming the countries economy radically (but that wont happen with the current government who think they can live off other's funds).

Hi,

Just want to give [all] people a place where we can get anything we need with bitcoin.

The situation in Greece where its citizens can't make any e-payments at all or withdraw [their own] cash above €60 per day, was the push to build such a place.

Currently on a surf road-trip and staying for a few days in a place in England famous for its surfing town/community, Newquay.

Just reaching out to see if we have any bitcoiners in the area..?
