We are excited to announce our DwNS whitepaper. One of the main differences is that when you buy a domain name, it is truly yours, you do not pay any annual fees, you can not be censored or have it taken away. The name ownership is controlled by smart contracts on a blockchain which cannot be changed by any government or centralized organization.

Actual ownership is just one of the many features that make DwNS different from the traditional DNS system. Some other examples are censorship resistance, decentralized control, flexible naming, global identification, upgradability, and streamlined user experience.
