On that Picture:
Yes that render is old and the development overtook it.
I am using a 10 Year old 3D CAD package for those mechanical drawings.
Making new renders takes time away from development, i will do new ones further down the road.
My Layout software also supports 3d Rendering so enjoy a sneak peak:

No, it does not. It shows 3 STACKED 10 chip modules.
I was hoping to hear from Burnin himself, but since you mention it, I have another question. Is the 20 chip module just two 10 chip modules stacked? Or is it a board with 20 chips on it? In either case, I am curious as to how the fan will be arranged.
Please show us a rendering for the 20 chip version.
Another question is, how do the boards daisy-chain? It is not shown in the rendering.

For those that do not know, a "silent miner" acts like a virus or spyware. You attach it to an .exe and put it in a torrent. Then when somebody download the torrent, the miner is secretly installed on their machine and mining in the background to the address of your choice.
...Looks promising but the group buy is a very odd process to me. I've never seen anything like it online. You just blindly trust someone will take your coin and mail you chips? It kinda feels like lemmings to the sea . . .
But what other way is there to purchase Avalon chips you know? I personally can not afford 10k worth alone?
I think the majority of people cannot afford $780,000+ for chips. The way Avalon is selling these chips is brilliant, in my opinion. If they sold chips individually, how many people would even know what to do with them? Buy selling them in batches of 10,000, they are indirectly creating alliances among bitcoin miners, who will in turn, create new ASIC products. This goes in line with their philosophy of decentralization.
Why are people comparing these to GPU's when, unlike GPU's, these are ready to plug-and-play? I personally think that these USB ASIC's are the key to easing people into the world of Bitcoin mining. My colleagues and I are developing a similar product as we speak.
