I'm the owner of a domain and I'm working on a new "Bitcoin Forum", I pretty much demonstrated that BitcoinTalk is a scam run by Themos. Theymos intentionally misleading people to make them believe that BitcoinTalk is founded by Satoshi Nakamoto, which is a lie.

If your plan was to use Bitmessage all along and not use the existing centralized database which is MySQL (or a variant), what was the need to go into all these tangents here?

Post a new thread in the Services section, I am sure those interested will reach out to you that way.

Good luck with your venture and quite a snag on that domain.

My plan was to use something else than Bitmessage but I had a few hours to think about it and seems to me I will settle on Bitmessage.
I was planning to use smf prior the domain registration as I opened this topic yesterday, but things had changed since the domain is actually registered to me (first come, first served).

The domain will be centralized (due to the f*****g ICANN and the DNS which is again under the control of the U.S. government and NATO.
The content must be decentralized, only text. Spamming using Bitmessage is becomes harder on each attempt (requires a lot of computation).

It would be still nice to see the backup of the original forum founded by Satoshi Nakamoto (not with user's password, or IP addresses) about the original.

I really don't like Theymos, he doxxed me various times.

The domain cost me over $3000+/year but no need donations. I have Bitcoin to cover the cost for the rest of my life.
I'm a non-smoker for a while now.

If you want you can reach me on Bitmessage: BM-2cW1WeiVcpGe8Nw3YgbGgg4CmnSEt4PrHh This is a temporal address so very unlikely will work in the future.

Yes, overall my goal is to create a Bitcoin Forum on the Bitcoin.Forum domain as you can guess it. I'm not yet sure if smf is suitable for this, for me seems very outdated, php, mysql, javascript etc. I prefer to inspire users instead to run nodes (example in python) and post to the forum on/from they own devices.

I also thinking just run a Chan using Bitmessage both public and private, the public Chan is completely unmoderated, while the private as you may guess is private. Along with Chan I can setup broadcasting with Bitmessage from specific addresses.

It is very likely that the new Bitcoin Forum will be based in Bitmessage. I'm looking into this.

I thought you'd going to insert BSV, I tried reading the whole thread, and was surprised it went another direction like Bitcoin.Forum. You did your research actually, something we learned today about history but we ain't going to be seeing another forum like bitcointalk.org. A lot of you have tried already with their own forum.

Theymos is too afraid to defend his "Bitcoin Forum" scam. I wonder if this is the "Bitcoin Talk" than why on the top left corner "Bitcoin Forum" is written, or why the breadcrumb  is "Bitcoin Forum > Other > Meta ,,," Isn't this the BitcoinTalk dot org?

My domain is something Theymos just dreams about. Registered today because .forum domains only available from today.

You do have the chance to outrank this forum on search engines. Good luck with that.

Who cares about American search engines in a peer-to-peer decentralized world? Far as I concern every single search engine even DuckDuckGo is based in the United States.

The goal is not to "outrank" a scam but to build a fully decentralized forum which is civilized and not lying or making false statements regarding Satoshi Nakamoto himself, having said in my opinion just for misleading thousands of people BitcoinTalk should be ashamed and discarded altogether. It is neither decentralized (has no any technical relation to Bitcoin) not it is civilized.

While decentralization often result in anarchy I can and will build a fully decentralized forum which not built for search engines but for the users.

I don't need luck, that I have enough. What I need is moderators https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5321259.0

SMF will be used if I find some moderators who will be interested in working on a more civilized Bitcoin Forum. If not than the forum will be not free and registration will require manual approval, the forum will be decentralized and will be not based in smf.

New Bitcoin Forum, moderators wanted

Searching for moderators for a new Bitcoin Forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5321030.msg56477025#msg56477025

If no moderators will be found than the new Bitcoin Forum will be decentralized without moderation but registration will be limited.

Yes, I registered it today. I know that I will get it months before.

BITCOIN.FORUM is a way better domain name than BitcoinTalk(.)org

I'm looking to ways to decentralize the forum, but moderation is going to be a problem that way. Maybe I will make it mandatory Bitcoin payment just like here. Here Tor and VPN users need to pay 30 dollars.

I am curious though: what's your agenda behind this?

I'm the owner of the www,BITCOIN.FORUM domain. That's why I need a backup of the original forum which founded by Satoshi Nakamoto. The wayback machine saves snapshots in html so... but I will think about to create an archive.bitcoin.forum subdomain.

It seems it's true that the forum registered on 2011-06-24 and satoshi last active December 13, 2010, it's pretty sure that forum was moved from somewhere else. But it's quite a controversial theory how satoshi mentioned some other Bitcointalk thread links where that domain wasn't bought? And seems the thread wasn't edited after bought the domain. Here a few quotes where satoshi mentioned other threads links.

The main addition in this release is the Accounts-Based JSON-RPC commands that Gavin's been working on (more details at http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1886.0).

So, the question is how satoshi posted a forum link (domain) before creating this forum (domain)? The posts hadn't edited after bought Bitcointalk domain.

I don't know if I missing something since I am not a tech guy. Hope theymos will clear that matter.

Links posted here which points to www.bitcoin(.)org/smf are automatically shows as bitcointalk(.)org, Satoshi nakamoto never posted anything about bitcointalk, this forum simply changing links in his original posts.

Stop saying that Satoshi nakamoto founded BitcoinTalk!

Satoshi Nakamoto NEVER posted anything to BitcoinTalk!
~
Domain Name: BITCOINTALK.ORG
Registry Domain ID: D162601474-LROR
Updated Date: 2019-11-24T14:01:10Z
Creation Date: 2011-06-24T05:19:00Z

Satoshi Nakamoto was last active on December 13, 2010, 04:45:41 PM (UTC?) meaning that he can't even know about even that when Sirius moved the forum to forum.bitcoin.org for a few months before theymos registered this domain.
Interesting, I never noticed this. It turns out you're right!
That also means satoshi's first post was not posted on Bitcointalk and thus the "Welcome" wasn't for Bitcointalk:
Quote from: satoshi in 2009
Welcome to the new Bitcoin forum!

Code:
Domain Name: BITCOINTALK.ORG
Registry Domain ID: D162601474-LROR
Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.namecheap.com
Registrar URL: http://www.namecheap.com
Updated Date: 2019-11-24T14:01:10Z
Creation Date: 2011-06-24T05:19:00Z

Not that any of it matters much now, but still, this is Bitcoin history.

Thank you for the acknowledgement!
I appreciate it that some people understand that Satoshi Nakamoto is not the founder of BitcoinTalk!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcointalk says:
"Satoshi Nakamoto created the Bitcointalk forum and posted the first public message in 2009 under the pseudonym "satoshi", an account which was registered on November 19th, 2009."

But this is a lie as you know by now.

Forum URL might have changed but the database didn't, so you should still be able to access older threads.

I want a backup of the original forum. Which contains all posts prior theymos moved the forum.

Here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=33392.0

Keep decrementing all the way down to topic=5.0.

This is the first accessible thread on this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5.0

And this is the last thread posted before theymos' announcement mentioning the move to bitcointalk.org: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=33392.0

Anything in between should have been posted on the older forum.

You're a troll, your comment doesn't even make sense nor it is related to my initial post.

Stop saying that Satoshi nakamoto founded [Suspicious link removed]!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=33393.0 is clearly stating that theymos is the founder of BitcoinTalk NOT Satoshi Nakamoto. Even BitcoinTalks wikipeaid page claims that Saroshi founded BitcoinTalk but that is a lie!

The original post you linked is posted by Satoshi Nakamoto to www.bitcoin.org/smf/. All claims that Satoshi Nakamoto involved with BitcoinTalk is absolutely false.

In 2011 theymos after that Satoshi disappeared lobbied to move the forum to a domain he controls. Satoshi given Sirius bitcoin.org and others rushed to get a piece of it.

I want a backup of the original forum. Which contains all posts prior theymos moved this to [Suspicious link removed] is founded by Satoshi Nakamoto because that is an absolute lie.

Requesting backup of the original forum from 2010

I requesting to give me a backup of the original forum which was available on http://bitcointalk.org until theymos registered the domain bitcointalk.org in 2011.

Satoshi Nakamoto never posted to BitcoinTalk the original forum where Satoshi Nakamoto posted is moved by cobrabitcoin and theymos to a new address.
