Currently users 'top up' their account balance and can spend that balance, I'm looking for someone who can change the system so it operates how CryptoThrift is setup, users make a payment for each item individually. This is safer for us and the users because only a small amount of bitcoins are stored in our wallet at any given time. We have an escrow system that will also need to be reworked/configured
Setup is with two Ubuntu servers. Server 1 runs Apache, MySQL, and PHP. Server 2 runs the bitcoin daemon.
Security is crucial, we don't want this happening to us:
To apply: Send a PM to me with your qualifications/portfolio and your hourly rate in USD. Before actual work begins, we must receive a photocopy of your ID.

Re: [WTS] Auction Website

I attempted to purchase the .com before it went up for auction, but the owner never replied to me. I didn't imagine it would sell for more than a few hundred, really surprised me it sold for almost 2k. I'm still considering possibly purchasing it but I don't think its worth what it sold for.
I'm not sure that somebody else would want to launch another auction site anyways, there's already several:
If you sell it now there is no way to get back your 57 BTC investment. The domain name could sell for some $$$ or maybe $$$$ but the site itself is not adding so much (no content, unique design? no members). So basically you are just selling the domain. But if you establish a brand name you can sell it later for much much more.
That's my plan, long-term growth I plan on developing apps for Android and iOS in the future, also I need to compete with CryptoThrift
Not certain about selling yet, I'm mostly curious what the community thinks my website is worth. It's the same concept as eBay but everything is done with bitcoins. My total investment into this project is around 57 BTC, I've been working on it about 18 months now, development isn't going as quickly as I'd like, I have another job and I'm also a college student. I pay programmers in India, Russia, and Pakistan to assist me with development. The domain bitcoinauctions.com recently sold on Flippa for $1700 USD
The site has almost every feature that eBay does
Buy it now Reserve prices Escrow system Multiple item listings Make an offer
We also have developed a fully working administrative panel where the fee can be adjusted, items can be deleted, and escrow can be returned or released
We've never really officially launched the website or started an advertising campaign yet, before the site launches we're implementing a new UI, in the process of slicing PSDs currently, here is a preview: https://www.facebook.com/bitcoinauctions.net/photos
Any thoughts?

Auction Website

Hi, I'm going to be relaunching an auction website similar to CryptoThrift in the near future. I've been told by several people I wasn't getting any new registrations because of a poor looking UI, so I recently had some new mockups done and was wondering if I could get some opinions on it
It's also important to note what "the top of Google" means. Are they ranking you at the top of Google for keywords which no one is using? Or are you ranking for keywords which are actually valuable?
I hope you are paying this person based on results, and not in advance.
He said he could rank us number one on Google in two months for 1 BTC. I'm paying for results (using escrow)

Additional info:
The website is written in CakePHP/MySQL
For a partnership, I'd be willing to split the profits 50|50 if someone could help my website take off. I also need some serious marketing done right now. For the keyword "bitcoin auctions" I'm only ranked at 169 on Google while CryptoThrift still holds the number one place. I need someone excellent with security I don't want to get hacked like bitmit. Even cryptothrift got hacked just this past Sunday and had 15 BTC stolen

Looking for a partner

I'm looking for a bitcoin expert to help me with my website (promoting it, fixing up code etc. ) I'm attempting to start an auction website to compete with CryptoThrift by offering far lower fees. I've spent about 30 BTC on this project so far, mainly paying programmers to code for me. (my coding skills are very limited, but attempting to learn) I've hired someone to do SEO work but the number of visitors I'm getting is still very low
Please PM me if interested and what skills you have or reply here and maybe we can work out a partnership

[ANN] Bitcoin Auctions

I was excited when cryptothrift launched after Bitmit closed down, but since then Ive become very disappointed when they decided raise their fees from 1.5% to 3.5% Today Im launching my own auction website that uses bitcoins. https://bitcoinauctions.net/
What fees do you charge? We charge a 1% fee to sellers, for example if you sell an item for 100 mBTC you receive 99 mBTC and we take 1 mBTC. Buyers pay no fees. Escrow is free. Our fees are 3.5 times less than cryptothrift and 10 times less than eBay:
Where are you based out of / hosted? Were based out of Michigan. Our servers are in Chicago, Illinois.
What are some of the differences between cryptothrift and Bitcoin Auctions?
We only use Bitcoin for our transactions, while cryptothrift used to accept 7 different types of coins until April 15. We dont believe any other alternative coins will ever see the level of success Bitcoin has had, and wont be implementing them. Our prices are denominated in millibitcoin (mBTC), we dont like having messy decimals everywhere. This helps to make our site cleaner and easier to understand. Bitcoin Auctions escrow service is free for everyone and automatically used for every transaction. We dont feel you should have to pay 1% on top of your purchase just to prevent getting scammed.
