1000W + 850W PSU enough for 6x1080Ti? (+15 amps question)

I plan to run all 1080Ti at 80% max draw on MSI Afterburner, so should be around 80%*250=200W

1000W PSU will have mobo, cpu, ram, ssd and 3 1080Ti. Should be around 150W for mobo/etc + 3*200W for the GPU, 750W total or 75% load.

850 PSU will have 3 1080Ti, so 3x200W = 600W, 70.5% draw

What do you guys think??

Also wondering if I can run all of this out of a 120V 15A circuit. Total power draw: 750W+600W=1350W.

15 A 120V should be 1800W, or at 80% draw, 1440W. 1440W > 1350W. Right?

Failing to see what I'm doing wrong or if I miss something. Those circuits are separate and nothing else will be plugged on them.

Thanks!

Re: Antminer S9's Hijacked-Need Help-Will Pay $$ To Reset-ASAP

Yes, the first thing I tried. When I install it, after it's done, it returns an error page from the cgi-bin that says "incorrect firmware". Tried all versions on the Bitmain site. Apparently, whatever they did, doesn't allow me to overwrite what they put in.

The Kernel version is this.. obviously the wrong one. I need to get in there and completely overwrite the firmware. Start from scratch:

"Kernel Version   Linux 3.14.0-xilinx-gb190cb0-dirty #57 SMP PREEMPT Fri Dec 9 14:49:22 CST 2016"

Need to get in there and get it back to factory.

Anyone know if I can load it from the SD card and make it work?

Again, anyone who knows how to SSH into it and reload the factory firmware (and software?), I'll pay to get it done.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

I assume you can log onto the device? Unless there is a custom firmware installed, you should be able to upgrade the new firmware. And then reset to factory default. If you are not able to do that, then the device has been compromised to a level higher than you can access  yourself and you will need to return it, there is nothing else you can do.

Losing internet connection = it stops mining

So another quick question, I have no idea what to do: whenever my internet gets disconnected, even after it comes back, my miners won't mine. I need to manually reboot all of them and then they will mine just fine. Aside from the obvious "don't lose internet" what else can I do? Is there any setting so that even if it disconnects, the Antminer will go back to mining once the internet is back?

I suggest wide and long and couldn't find the answer. Thank you.

Final question: if I restrict the airflow a bit, I cut the noise by a significant portion BUT all temps go up 2-3 degrees. Should I do it or is it too dangerous?

Dude, set aside an evening and skim through the s9 thread. You have questions? ALL been answered multiple time in there....

Hey sorry about that - I did searched a lot, but all posts I have discussed the PCB temp, and I don't have that on my antminer. Similarily, they said around 60 degrees was better but I don't have chip 1. Other than that, I am concerned about fans running at 6,000 RPM at all time.

Anyway, thank you all the answers! Cheesy <3

Is my Antminer S9 running fine?

So I have moved the Antminer to a new room that is quite hotter. I am puzzled by the numbers above and wondering if it's fine.

My question2:

1) My HW error rate is 0.0010%... It used to be at 0.0004% over the past few weeks, should I be worried?

2) Chip temp 82-79-82, is that worrisome? Too high?

3) Fan #6 is always running at 6,000 RPM. Is that a problem? Can it run at that speed forever and is it bad for the miner?

Overall the air flow is good but I'm just worried I am killing my antminer.

TYVM!!!!
