Also a huge number of the peoples are using it in investment or trading, So its mean people like it than they are use it, so it has been cleared bitcoin never die.
I am sure that is also a usage. When people buy or sell that is already a transaction. So it is like also spending it specially when we do trade it to altcoin currency. A lot of people are also gambling and that is spending too.

for a new starter looking for ways to earn/get some bitcoins, faucets are not bad. Its a good way to start your journey on the bitcoin world, personally I also started with faucets. I even spent hours just claiming on faucets in exchange of dust satoshis.
No offense but it's completely not worth it to start trading with that amount. Getting a sizeable profit in trading needs time and your profit depends on your investment, with only 50k satoshi you'll be wasting your time for few cents.
Yes right 50k satoshi values almost nothing.Now days recommended transaction fee is around 50k and with faucets you cant earn more than that.May be getting 50k satoshies would have costed you alot of time.So i would advice u buy atleast 0.1btc and then think about it.Apple is the best, everyone knows it.

Not very soon.Btc has not yet reached 1000$ mark so 5000$ is very far away from now on and i think it may reach 1000$ mark in the start of 2017 may be but can not say when it will reach 5000$ but surely not soon.
