There really isn't anyway to 'turn off' or 'ban' BTC so there isn't much to worry about.

Re: Most Exciting Bitcoin Projects!
by

on 16/06/2016, 03:44:21 UTC

That is exactly what I meant by 'dead'. I know that Open bazaar is growing  but for now there is almost nothing I would like to buy there.
I think they need more years to be able to compete with fiat based marketplaces - or they will be gone before that would happen.

It wont be dead, there is demand for open source projects.

People are tired of paying bandit fees to middleman, plus its open source so anyone can pickup the project and continue it if their license allows it.

You are right. People are tired of the bandit fees to middlemen. Open source projects are key to all this.

Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin?
by
bitcoinstarter
on 16/06/2016, 03:43:34 UTC
The best way to motivate women to use bitcoin is to buy them shoes using money out of bitcoin. My wife hated me when I do bitcoin activities before but when I cashed out my bitcoins and bought her a shoe she was active and positive on bitcoin ever since.

For all these, first we have to make them to believe about the cryptocurrency and about its uses. If they believe show the proof of income got through it. Show them various sites accepting bitcoin as payment. Now ask whether they are interested or not. If interested proceed to teach further else just drop it.

I couldn't agree more with what you just said there. Its all about this.

OP either you're very young or you're one of the biggest drama queens this forum has ever seen.   Just wait, you'll see disappointments and traumas mich worse than this. Life will shit all over you.  After it does then come back here and tell us if you're still grieving about that decimal point.

To funny. Drama has always been around in Bitcoin that's for sure.

Re: NFC + Virtual cards + Bitcoin
by

Did someone tried to add a virtual bitcoin card on smartphone with NFC? (and pay with it on a POS that support NFC payments)

Maybe with Android Pay or something else.

Can someone try it? Smiley

If it works, that it's very interesting, because virtual cards of 2500 eur/usd/gbp by year usually don't need documents to be received/used.

Funny you should mention this. I was thinking about this the other day.

I "lost" 380 BTC by pre-ordering miners from Butterfly Labs.  Awesome experience.
Ouch that sounds just horrible.

I didn't know you guys shut down. Cheesy
Anyway, it's nice that tere is already a crowdfunding service that accepts bitcoin and alts but unfortunately this one has no personal campaigns like for an education or something. I don't know if there are any other cryptocurrency accepting crowdfunding service that has this feature.

Yes, we did briefly Wink

When you say education what do you mean ?

Thanks for the feedback.

Always welcome these kind of projects. However, unless you re ready to spend massive amount of money on advertising, this is not going to work. There re too many similar websites and projects and in order to have visitors, you need to advertise. A lot.

Definitely - To get active users with ideas coming to the site there also needs to be incentives or such to choose you. You have a good twitter with a good amount of followers what is your plan on advertising.

Do you think you have benefits over Kicktarter/Indiegogo (Besides accepting a range of cryptocurrencies)?

Right, of course a good amount of traffic is key. More so targeted traffic so I mentioned above most the crypto's that we accept as payment for pledges in their communities people are building projects inside them so this would be a great way to reach out to them. Expect a big push there.  Secondly, traditional methods will have to be used of course and a media push to get people back into the platform. Finally, high quality projects should be able to generate a decent amount of attention of done right.  At the moment their might not be to much of a bigger benefit to using us over kickStarter/Indiegogo as its more a philosophy at this point. Meaning you support crypto over fiat , or just want to support an all crypto type format. There will be additions made that we can compete directly with those platforms ,but of course we are always limited by the amount of people who are into crypto to begin with. Great question though.

Hi Guys ,
I am developing an desktop application for lisk users , let me know your suggestions.

A decentralized casino with Lisk.  I don't gamble but would be a good proof of concept and could make money.

Good idea above.

Decentralized Crowdfunding ?

Good to see this site up and running, we need a site like this (and hopefully as popular as Kickstarter or Indiegogo)!

Thank you Batesresearch!  Like to get it as popular as  KickStarter and IndieGoGo for sure. One thing I like about the new platform is you can use different crypto's to fund the projects not just BTC.

There is a security check that prevents everybody to create a project Cheesy

Otherwise, good concept

Thanks 2c0de!  Yes, we'll be adding other mechanisms as we go.
