Install the dependencies to compile from source code.
Install the necessary dependencies using the following commands.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev
Create a directory for the source code.
mkdir ~/bin ~/src
Extract the tar file using the following command.
git clone
https://github.com/bitcointrustbct/bitcointrust.gitcd bitcointrust
cd src
make -j4 -f makefile.unix STATIC=1 -j2
The compiling will take about 30 minutes depending on your system.
strip bitcointrustd
chmod +x bitcointrustd
