Re: [ANN][YAC] YACoin ongoing development

I know it's silly, but YACoin has the highest market cap since march 2014.

Maybe we should grab the old 0.4.4 wallet and rebrand it as Bitcoin Something, it's the fad these days.

In aug.2017 N factor will be 19. Is hard to maintain a healthy network at higher N.

It'd be interesting to see what the incoming high core count CPUs can do with it.

YACoin price on the rise...  You can still buy and sell on BTER, but you just can't deposit or withdraw YAC.

Told ya bter was going to be a mess. I wish I could scalp me some more YAC.

Kind of makes YAC vulnerable to a pump and dump if nobody can deposit to sell.

Good grief no, Ruby is a slow, high level language. It's not meant for crypto.

Rust would be a much better language for this.

If you like useful coins you are a sensible person. And sensible people don't gamble.

I don't believe it's just the recent news about Greece. Yacoin has been rising for two months, so there's clearly something else afoot, like real estate bubbles flatlining in some countries.

You know another thing that would be cool? YAC client and miner coded in Rust.

I definitely would prefer no split -- but my opinion has near nil weight, percentage-wise.

Oh, so this explains why there have been +5 million coins traded at Bter in the last couple days?

Actually, why bother. Just use the existing NScrypt ones.

The only genuine ones that I can think of to offer something new (I may have missed some) that were created during the time of the Great 2013 Shitflood of Crap Coins are:

Anoncoin

Primecoin

YACoin

These.

One for the experts. Does transaction malleability affect YaCoin?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=458076.0

Bitcoin may drag their feet before doing any big changes, so it would be cool to get ahead on this.
