Each chip has about 280MH / s, this means that they are a hardcopy of a FPGA and not a full custom ASIC.

... Proof?

"Avalon ASIC will not be responsible for if a proper Integrated Circuit company enters the market and produce a full-custom ASIC chip. Please evaluate your mining projections properly when purchasing Avalon ASIC."

Did you ever try it in p2pool

Yes, see the review linked in OP.

Quote
or with a high diff share?

Yes, "vardiff" works on BTC Guild with this miner.

After some very helpful advice from p2pool's author and #p2pool channel, it appeared to start working.  Then Strange Things Happened.  The miner and p2pool both started reporting very odd values for everything from hardware fan temperature to software share difficulty on the pool side.

So, it does not work with p2pool. right?

Does anyone know if Jeff was testing on "test net" without access to the Internet ? Avalon rig, may only be a controller for FPGA mine in China ( it's simple to implement). I know it sounds stupidly  but it should be the last final test. Jeff, if you're reading this, please check it.

I also had an idea to send him something funny. someone was the first  Undecided

Is posting other people's personal info allowed on this board?

took me two minutes to find it, anyone can do that.

we have cleaned the market of some certain parts like resistors and capacitors. We have to order directly from factories now

"Clock buffers", "Asian benefactors", "resistors and capacitors" ... ASIC companies provide me with a lot of fun Wink Good fun costs money so maybe it was worth it Wink

One week and still nothing. Looks like another company just telling lies. There was a time ngzhang was a reliable source for good hardware. Too bad Ztex never entered the ASIC race... I guess he had good reasons.

They said it would take 2 weeks for their customers to have the units.
So, i will start calling them scammers in 20 days (20 of January + 20 days ~= 10 of February).

I will start planning for my own ASIC at the time. LOL.

They said that they sent (2 pcs) on 20 January. They lied. Maybe they are not scammers but they are definitely liars (Like other ASIC companies ). Everything this is a game and the art of manipulation.

I hope they keep their tricks a secret until BFL starts building the PCB's and commits hard money to completing their project.

I doubt at that point any BFL customer will get their cash back.

Josh can correct me if I am wrong about this and tell his customers that they can pull their cash out of this venture at any point (without limitations) prior to shipping.

Even they have legitimate reasons to keep the spec secret, there is absolutely no reason to keep the tracking number secret.

Doesn't having the tracking number give you access to the recipients address? Perhaps it's for privacy.
LOL  Grin
They don't give tracking numbers to their customers Smiley No one expects that they will give those numbers to the public.

You are wrong Wink
no ASIC = no shipment = no tracking number = reason to keep the tracking number (fictitious) secret Wink

Butterfly Labs ask International FPGA trade-in clients to get ready to ship

http://mineforeman.com/2013/01/24/butterfly-labs-asks-international-fpga-trade-in-clients-to-get-ready-to-ship/

Once again: Do not send your fpgas to them .....

Why trust them not to run with both (money and FPGA)?

They, should send ASIC first and after you have them working, you should send them the FPGA. They owe you that ....

You're wasting your time. Greed and desire quick and easy money blinds people. BFL knows it.

^^are you this?

No Smiley I found it on the network Smiley

Bitcoins only, we've never accepted credit cards.

That's gonna mean a lot of people buying bitcoins.

500 x 1499$ = ~ 40k BTC Wink

good decision, no one will be able to chargeback. Look at the bASIC, they would earn much more if no chargeback Wink

You guys/gals do not know how to use that tool properly.

You folks don't even know what a JPEG matrix or quantization is nor how the tool even detects changes in an image.

There is nothing wrong with the tool. There is only bad interpretation(s) and bad application(s) of this tool without understanding what it compares.

(I used it several years ago (2006 -2008) when the hacker who made (and introduced) this tool first came out with it. I read the "white" papers on some of his theory and how they detect changes.

-------------------------------

Please don't make fools of yourselves by not knowing how to use the tool properly....
