The market is currently unpredictable, so you will find it difficult to create accurate analyzes. It is better to wait until things calm down and it becomes easy to build positions for trading and points for entry and exit.

The market is ALWAYS unpredictable it all depends on your risk profile and as a trader missing trades really hurts almost as if someone stole from me, weird.

If you arent comfortable trading the ATH then don't, pretty simple. It becomes gambling pretty quick if you arent confident or comfortable.

but if you want to watch a live video of someone with balls trading the all the high, please feel free to check out my videos.

I agree, thats why if you notice the first trade on my channel is actually a loss.

To be a sucessful scalper, (especially on a platform that offers fee rebates for adding liquidity to the book), you need to be able to exit losing positions more effectively than the winners.

Hola Bitcointalk,

I would like to inform of my Youtube channel where I post weekly live trading videos.

Generally, I scalp the 3m chart and my videos are aimed at the beginner/intermediate or even experienced trader looking at scalping the seas of satoshis sailing around our screens daily.

You can usually find me on BitMEX but I will jump on PrimeXBT and Binance to get some exposure to different products.

Let me know if you guys dig the style, I am just starting out so my editing and recording chops need improving, but all in due time, I have 2 episodes out currently with a third coming next week.

I wish to provide value by providing a library of live trades with commentary and annotation.

When I started day trading, I searched all over for videos in this style and could not find anything digestible, subsequently ITF Scalping was born.

Thanks for checking this out and let me know what you think or what you would like to see.

Happy scalping amigos!

ITF

I think trading everywhere is the same, be it on binance, bithumb, bitrex and other platforms. having small or large capital, it would be the same if you did not have qualified knowledge. therefore to decide to trade, first learn all things related to crypto trading. be it in terms of profits, losses, reading price movements, as well as managing your assets as much as possible to avoid wrong trading patterns.

Education is key!

Re: Tightening Regulation In The Field Of Crypto Derivatives Trading
by
bitmexscalper100x
on 15/12/2020, 03:42:16 UTC
The year 2020 ends. Bitcoin has been growing for the past 6 months and is striving to update ATH, investors are jubilant, but traders are not quite. In recent years, regulators have taken a very tough tack on crypto derivatives exchanges in general and crypto derivatives in particular.

For example, in October, the UK regulator banned crypto derivatives for retail investors: https://www.fca.org.uk/news/press-releases/fca-bans-sale-crypto-derivatives-retail-consumers

The regulator considered that a retail investor could not have access to derivatives for the following reasons:

Quote
- inherent nature of the underlying assets, which means they have no reliable basis for valuation
- prevalence of market abuse and financial crime in the secondary market (eg cyber theft)
- extreme volatility in cryptoasset price movements
- inadequate understanding of cryptoassets by retail consumers
- lack of legitimate investment need for retail consumers to invest in these products

This was followed by bans for American clients in derivative exchanges, such as Binance, BitMEX, Deribit, blocking their access.

Also, BitMEX, which was born without KYC, introduced it under pressure from regulators, and cut the time in half compared to the initial announcement. Apparently, the program was to transfer the entire exchange to work with verified users until 2021.

Announcement here: https://blog.bitmex.com/accelerating-the-bitmex-user-verification-programme/

Deribit also accelerated verification and obliged all of its users to go through KYC by the end of the year, although earlier it was possible to trade without verification with minimum limits.

Announcement here: https://twitter.com/DeribitExchange/status/1319003303485820928

Further in November, the news came out that all the exchanges in Hong Kong would tighten the regulation of crypto exchanges: https://www.reuters.com/article/crypto-currencies-hongkong-regulator/hong-kong-will-require-all-cryptocurrency-trading-platforms-to-be-regulated-sfc-idUSL4N2HP0CC?rpc=401&jj

This was followed by the ban on derivatives on the Coinbase exchange: https://blog.coinbase.com/coinbase-pro-disables-margin-trading-42f5862f8a66

That is, in the second half of this year, someone actively took up the regulation of crypto derivatives, either completely banning, under pressure from regulators, or completely abolishing anonymity. The trend is not good. Every year there are fewer and fewer such large derivative exchanges where you can trade without KYC. Now I only remember ByBit, where you can trade anonymously. But this is not forever, and the regulator's paws can reach it soon.

And what next? Either some small exchanges without KYC, where there is no liquidity, or DEXs, but the situation with liquidity is not particularly good there either. In the future, we will most likely come across a complete and total regulation of this direction of crypto trading, and not only the derivatives market, but also the spot one. All exchanges will partner with governments and merge our data, not only personal data, but also data on income and assets.

I would not be surprised if, after the introduction of digital currencies by central banks, the exchanges will start trading only using digital fiat.

In general, what are your thoughts on the further development of crypto trading in general and crypto-derivative trading in particular? Are we waiting for total control and ongoing bans?

You can trade on PrimeXBT with no KYC.

VPN's work and KYC means jack shit once you move your crypto around before you hit your offramp.

At the end of the day the alternative is jumping on the traditional finanace bandwagon and have to deal with xx% capital gains after you cashout your profits, if any.

Re: Constantly burning out my trades. What do I do to avoid this?
by
bitmexscalper100x
on 15/12/2020, 02:36:00 UTC

Sounds like you need to do a tad more homework and take a break from the trading for like a week.

No no, that's pretty fair.
My trading system mainly consists of looking for breakouts on charts. Lots of lines, and reading the MACD/RSIs. I'll admit, i'm not very good at it, and a lot of it consists of hope; but sometimes, I am right...
Correct trades will normally net me a decent profit, but the bad trades I never understand how to close, and I am always scared to take losses early, and often let my positions bleed.

I agree with the smaller lot sizes and small leverage but if you are trading the ATH you gotta be in and out like a ninja.

Since you are just starting to trade, try to use small trade position size first, also a small leverage.
No need to stop trading, treat those losses as learnings. You need to study more, just like the Risk Management.
There are lot of lesson about risk management, blogs or YouTube videos.
Since you already have some knowledge in technicals, I think you need more on the psychological sides or emotions as trader. Risk management is a must!

Re: What kind of trader are you - Day Trader or Swing Trader?
by
bitmexscalper100x
on 11/12/2020, 06:04:08 UTC
I have tried many trading strategies, it turns out that day trading can provide huge profits. Therefore, I prefer to be a day trader,
I can make profit every day. The most important thing if we want to become a day trader is that we have to monitor the market
every day, so we can predict price movements. Indeed, day traders are very tiring, but it is worth the profit they get.

What you are saying makes sense, you basically have to be glued to the chart, and its all pattern recognition after that. No shortcuts, just patterns and some psycology but you can start a scalp and end up swinging a nice chunk of profit like he says, just timing. Check out my live trade video below

I'm curious about you traders in this forum.

What kind of trader are you? Please also motivate why you chose this style.

1. Day Trader / Scalper
2. Swing Trader
3. Beginner, haven't started yet
4. Other (please explain)

I am a Day Trader and I chose this style because I'm not patient enough for Swing Trades and I like to be able to place many trades so I can use my own historical data to know what works and what does not work.

All the best,
Joel

Generally short scalps on the 3minute but sometimes you catch a breakaway and you can swing those babies

Hi Guys

I have tried the likes of Binance and Bitterex, but they aren't accepting any new users at the moment.

Poloniex have been processing my photo ID for over a couple days now, has anyone got any recommendations for alternatives?

BitMEX is the go man, if you want exposure to derivatives that is.

Re: Buy 5 coins and wait till each of them grows 10%, then sell
by
bitmexscalper100x
on 04/12/2020, 10:54:22 UTC
Hey guys,

I am new in the crypto trading and i was analyzing the biggest currencies and I had the following strategy:

Buy 5 coins for 1000EUR each => wait till each of them grows 10% => sell.
If it went down, I still wait until it will go back up +10%. It's ok if it will take weeks.

From my analysis (correct me if I am wrong) it almost always does after a while.
If one of them didn't after a long time, the other 4 should compensate for the loss.

I can imagine it sounds like a basic strategy for experienced traders.. Smiley

Please share your thoughts!

Thanks

You should take those 5 x 1000 Euro bets to a derivatives exchange and trade an index on the price of BTC.

if your goal is 10% of 5000, one 1000 Euro trade at 50% profit would hit that. You could learn some skills and trade like ITF Scalping

Re: Too much HODLing stealing opportunities?
by
bitmexscalper100x
on 04/12/2020, 08:28:35 UTC
For noobs, HODLing is a term used for "holding" your assets (here: Bitcoins) for a very long time. But, isn't it true that those who bought it at $500 once should have sold it at $20k peak, and if not, why didn't they sell at $15k? BTC didn't crash all at once and they had the opportunity to sell and wait for another opportunity. A $15k per BTC against a $500 BTC - means a 30x return itself. And BTC crashed to $3k, if not $3k, then these hodlers would have bought back at $6k which is even less than half of $15k as they would also have added a lot more liquidity to the markets with too much money on the table. Isn't it true that too long a hodl can stop you from taking great opportunities while sitting dumb and waiting for a specific target?

It's true, you could always scalp a small account to get your fix and leave the long term positions alone.

But as they say, easy come easy go.

The best answer you will find here - just do whatever suits you best - if you are confident that you can pull scalping out.
Don't follow bits of advice of people - after all, it is a matter of preference - it is not like one method is superior to other.
The success of your strategy depends solely on its execution. You think you are brilliant daytrader? Go for it.

I would reccomend learning how to scalp and starting small.

Walkthroughs are handy as are youtube videos but nothing substitutes the grind.

Check this dude out think he has weekly scalping videos.
