[WTS] Radeon R9 290 based miners or parts
by

I set up the following mining rigs  2 months ago but now I'm not around sufficiently to be able to monitor these in case of a hardware failure. Before I break this apart and sell on ebay, I decided to list here.

Buyer must be in the UK and can pick up or I can deliver (location dependent), or post. I don't plan on including HDs or USBs to boot from but I can provide my sgminer and cgwatcher configurations. Each card run at approx 925kh/s with suitable cooling (box fan or similar) and have been extremely stable. The hardware is keep in an open blue crate although the air flow could be improved with a custom set up or some cutting in certain places.

Miner 1
3 x Radeon R9 290 - Asus GPU Tweat with custom BIOS installed for best performance
(2 x Hynix, 1 x Elpida - card labelled as such)
1 x powered riser
Gigabyte 990 FXA-UD3 (5 PCI slots)
Sempron 2.8gh
4 gigs ram
SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 1200W PSU

Miner 2
1 x Radeon R9 290 - Asus GPU Tweat with custom BIOS installed for best performance
(Hynix)
Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5gh (pre-existing)
4 gigs ram (pre-existing)
1 PCI slot motherboard (pre-existing)
Corsair CS650M PSU (650W)

I set them up as a hobby, although by mining the right coins they pay well. Sadly, I can't keep them running >50% of the time from May.

All items are new and I have the boxes except for those tagged pre-existing.

You can buy and sell Neo shares with direct Havelock transfers.

For those with Neo shares on Havelock, shares can be transferred over directly to an email address.

I have a large number of shares to sell as I don't wish to wait this out. If a reputable member can do Escrow, let's do it. Otherwise small amounts at a time and you need to have been here a long while or transfer BTC first.

PM with offers.

NEM looks like a great idea. Dunno if it will work but the concept is brave. I'd like to support it so please add me to the wait list.

Encrypt your wallets unless you're crazy, and then back them up to a well encrypted Truecrypt volume, then back that up where ever.

And name it "all_my_millions_of_crypto_coins.hackme"

I understand all that about 5.000.000 shares unsold, and all the free market stuff... but, isn't the quarter ending, and a great first dividend coming soon to holders? Perhaps I'm missing something important, but....

Seriously? There won't be a meaningful dividend, if any at all, until end of Q2 because the business has only just started operating.

Neo looks great but you can't make a profit until your business is making money! Do the maths to see how much they need to be making to pay the investor guarantee. Clue: They need to make huge profits and the Bitcoin price rising (which they require) is a double edged sword.

Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | DarkSend (exciting new feature) | KGW | No Premine

BTW:  I just read something tonight on the bitcoin wallet, and since our wallets are based on the bitcoin wallet, I'll have to assume it's true of ours.  I read that the wallet creates 100 addresses, and you use them up for everything you do, such as send someone a payment, receive a payment, etc... I think it even "uses up" an address for payments from mining.  Anyway, once you use them up, the wallet creates 100 new addresses.

The  point being that if you think, as I did, that you only need one, original backup of your wallet, it's not so!  You're constantly using up that 100 addresses, and if you don't re-save your wallet.dat file after the next 100 addresses are created and used, and something happens, all the newer transactions can be lost to you!

So maintaining your wallet backups is extremely important.  You need to guesstimate how often you need to backup, or simply backup often.  You can do it with the wallet backup function on the main menu, I forget which drop-down item, 'cause I don't have my wallet on this machine to look at, but from there, you can name the file, something like DarkCoin_2-26-14.dat and save it anywhere you like from that menu.  No need to close the wallet even.

Can someone confirm or challenge this above, please? I don't think is true, but I'm not sure. Thanks!

Almost certainly correct. It's  a security measure since addresses shouldn't be reused if you want the highest security and as much anonymity as possible.

This!

Cause: Pick something interesting and that will get an international community behind it and some press. Something that makes sense for 'Saturncoin' and is doable.

Tax is tax man. Either you declare this or you don't. If you're considering lying about identity documents, you're not thinking straight. Do a private trade or no trade at all rather than that.

9am Tokyo, no announcement. Bitcoin builder falling... Come on Gox, where is our money? Maybe I shoulda sold.

Have you seen what Karples said today? He refuses to guarantee customer funds are safe. So they must have lost customer money and are figuring out how to keep the business going.

Traders should be prepared for a mother of a haircut. At other exchanges this has been 90-95% so buying GoxBTC at 50-60% of real BTC is risky as. It can't stay that high unless Gox improve this mess in the next 36 hours as promised.

Some big players just entered, pfff, pitty i was hoping to add a few more Smiley

They did? Price still basically 1 satoshi with the odd higher sale and difficulty low when I checked. Until Sats are on other exchanges I don't think any big pools will really hit.

You were right, interest picking up now.
