I'm sure that helps as well. Just as an example though...You can have 1 billion people in a population who contribute nothing to an economy and you can half of that population somewhere else who contribute 50% to an economy.....Sooo.

I only got into the Bitcoin scene in Oct '13 (Mining and Trading). While I understand that China "owns" most of the USA's economy, I'm not talking about the USA here; since this is more of a WORLD economics question. Why does China reign the most influential when it comes to the Bitcoin market?

Hey all. I haven't really played around with a .conf file and usually just set up different .bat files for each coin that I mine. I don't have a large setup but then again, I mine solely as a hobby. I'm running 3 GPUs, 8GB RAM, 2 PSUs (Totaling 1400w) in a milkcrate rig. For the most part my temps range anywhere from 72-78C with a Honeywell fan ($14 on Amazon) directed just below the GPUs. I've tried placing and directing the fan at different areas of the rig, but I seem to get the best results directed just below the GPUs. Without the fan, my rig was running 85-88C. Watercooling is not an option for me.

I'm using Windows 7 64bit and haven't used Ubuntu or any other type of miner. I just use CGMiner in conjunction with CGWatcher. I also run the "--auto-fan" command. These are my basic settings for my Sapphire Tri-X R9 290x (Stock bios & voltage settings). If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I don't claim to have the answers to everything on every setup...I'll answer what I can with what I know. I average around 980Kh/s per card with these settings.

Setting excerpts for CGMiner.

--auto-fan --gpu-powertune 20,20,20 --gpu-engine 1025,1025,1025 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500,1500 --thread-concurrency 32765,32765,32765 -g 1 -w 512 -I 20 --no-submit-stale
