Re: Less Volatility Is Needed?
by

The volatility is a joke. It makes Bitcoin look like a sh!tcoin that is constantly pumped and dumped by whales.
10% moves in a day are standard, that cannot be if Bitcoin actually wants to be used seriously.

I thought that by now, with such a high market cap, that the volatility would be greatly reduced, but if anything it is worse than ever!
I look at the price, it is $4400, I look back 10 mins later, it is $4050!  What has happened I think, oh nothing, it's just Bitcoin.  When the 10% moves become 1% moves, I'll be happy.

I don't think we will see stabilization within 1% range anytime soon.

Re: What will push Bitcoin to $10,000

The other question then will be: Does it even make sense to change BTC into FIAT, when the price per coin hits 100k.
If the adaption reaches a point like in Swiss where they start to accept tax payments in Bitcoin. Why should I ever convert into paper money?

Re: Just about 20 million. Wait and watch it REALLY explode...

I think we all know about how supply and demand works, since its only about 20 million, prices will surely go up, i'm pretty sure that by the end of 2017 it already broke the 5k target and by next next we can see a new high for bitoin, and by that time, i believe we'll all be looking forward fpe a new goal like 50k by the end of 2018, which i think is plausible.

If some dubious news on a few shady sites are enough to drop the price like 20% I highly doubt we will be able to break even 10k by end of 2018.

Well, see it that way. If your friend asked you a few days ago, when BTC was like 4800 USD, he would be pretty upset today.
Especially if he has never watched the BTC charts before...

Re: More Chinese FUD to trigger panic selling on idiots

The price is beginning to recover as we enter Tuesday, hopefully after another China FUD stunt over the weekend the price picks up & heads towards the range we were at pre dump. Be nice to see somewhere between $4600-$4900 by the end of this week.

Not over yet. My guess: we will see sub 4k before we can pass 5k again

Let's wait for tomorrow. After all these exaggerated China ICO panic sells there may be a few interesting opportunities around.

Re: First time ICO... Is it that simple?
by

on 09/09/2017, 16:05:34 UTC
I am interested in the Oxycoin project: https://oxycoin.io/

I know the risks of losing money with an ICO, but I think it is worth to try for long term.

This is the first time I will join an ICO... Is it uncommon to invest only a small amount, like 0.25 - 0.5 ETC?

To join it is like send an amount and just wait for your tokens... Is it that simple?

I'm sorry for the noob questions...

Thanks!

Another thing to consider: after you have thought objectively about all your concerns and finally decided to stick with a particular ICO, you can help them to spread the word or ask them if you can help them otherwise. Long term this might help your investment as well.

Re: Are my bitcoins safe in blockchain.info?
by

My only problem with blockchain.info is its association with the well known scammer Roger Ver. Other than that, I don't have any issues with them and I am using their wallets for more than a year now.

Can you elaborate on this? Have you any proof?
That's pretty mean tbh.

Well, even IF Bitcoin stays stable there is another chance that the FIAT is not.

Re: By what mechanism the total quantity of bitcoin is limited to 21 millions?
by
bitpeepcom
on 09/09/2017, 11:35:58 UTC
I was thinking why is it only 21 millions and there are more or less 16 millions left to be mined? Why don't we have an unlimited supply so everyone including myself can mine atleast 1BTC in the future? Reading your comment made me realize that this is a market, the law of supply and demand still applies. There should always be a limit and difficulty in having one btc so that its value goes up.

Roughly 16 Million coins are already mined..

You do know that you are writing in a thread that is 2 years old, right?

Their new address is http://www.btc-e.nz

They will ask you to reset your password on the first login. You will receive a link to the email address which is connected to your btc-e account.
But don't expect to much as deposits/withdraws are disabled and trading is not possible as of yet.

Before investing such a huge amount it is important for you to find a good balance between risk and profit.
Consider splitting instead of putting everything on one horse.

Most important: make your decisions based on your house knew and your own logic. Do not get lured by strange promises and be wary.

Good luck!

If Bitcoin Reaches $10k in 2017, what will you do?

I will do the same what I did when it reached 100, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000

HODL, HODL, HODL

If you don't need to buy a new kidney or you need some money to buy out your mother in law from Pakistani kidnappers, there is no reason to sell bitcoins ever.

Re: Bitcoin soon 5000$ !!!
by
bitpeepcom
on 02/09/2017, 17:59:36 UTC
Last few hours ago the bitcoin price already reached 5k dollars but it will fall down again and the price as of now is 4600 dollars but I hope it will back again to the price of 5k dollars so we can make a lot of profit. The chances bitcoin price reach or hit 10k before end of this year is 50 50 because we need to get more higher 5k before goes to the next target. But now we wait the price back again 5k and next is 10k.

10k until end of the year is a bit too optimistic imho. There will be a few corrections up to its way to 10k. Currently we see a small one and it does not look like it's finished yet.

Not a bad thing, especially for daytraders Smiley
