Re: The next 100x-1000x coin?

If we are talking 100x then I would gamble on SHIFT... I am gambling on SHIFT, so I guess take that with that biased grain of salt. If we are talking about 1000x I would not believe such a thing is possible any more in this market, not unless you are developing the coin. You need to get in so darn early that I really cannot wrap my head around anyone seeing that kind of movement on one coin alone.

SHIFT if they can keep from mixing feces into their bed sheets again. Great project with an actually working product, but they need to grow up fast and secure their devices as if they are a big boy company.... because they need to be.

Re: Coins with price lower price has more chances to moon?

Marketcap is the most important factor when determining if a coin can go 10 to 100x. Not because the coin necessarily is a good store of value, but because the current market has shown what level of market cap it is willing to tolerate. We are still in the wild west days of the cryptocoin market. There is unfortunately less importance put on future promise than immediate returns. Just look at the number of coins that are fake at face value (looking at you picklericks) and tell me that low marketcap is not the primary means of determining "moons".

tl:dr - Low marketcap is directly linked to the probability of huge gains, but hopefully that won't always be the case.

While there are a few exceptions, you have to start with a good coin.  There many junk or so called shitcoins investors shouldn't touch even at a super "bargain".

Taking your generalized advise may lead so really major loses.

I probably wasn't clear enough. I was insinuating that looking for the next "moon" is the wrong way to go about investing in crypto-currency. If you are looking for short term returns you should invest in shitcoins because they are heavily dependent on hotair and bs. You can make a huge return or you could lose all your money because they were always a scam. My point is you should do research and not look at the cryptocurrency market as a gambling ring. Eventually, hopefully, there will only be a dozen or so coins which all serve a very specific purpose and are great stores of value. If you find one of those coins now the sky is the limit, but I can tell you that picklericks and monkey project coins will not be one of them.

I feel freaking crazy right now! How do people not remember that only 5 months ago the entire crypto marketcap only a 4th of the current value. What recovery is necessary? I am sorry that you might have bought at a peak, but it was literally just a momentary spike that fixed itself. If the market dropped back down to early 2017 levels then I would be nervous, but for a brand new market it is doing fine. I hate that a drunk is the rallying point, but in the immortal misspelling HODL.

I would put money (and have put money) on Ethereum, Monero, and Basic Attention Token. If you really want to gamble (and I mean high high high risk, high high high reward) look into shift. They have a stellar project that has a working product, but their team can miss deadlines, and apparently they thought that storing all of their development funds on an unsecured computer was smart. I think they have learned their lesson from this super f-up but only time will tell. If you have some extra cash you were going to spend on a collectors edition beanie baby that will triple in value in 1996 maybe spend that money on shift instead.

Naw, the end of crypto is coming. I heard it from this guy named zombie... wait a minute... Wasn't that op? Whaaaaaaaaaaaa? If crypto is coming to an end then why would I ever dream to invest in Elixir unless the person telling me to do so has no idea what they are talking about ever because their chicken little mindset swings one way or another based on the breeze.

Re: SHIFT - Will it recover from the recent shenanigans?

The Phantom Platform has finished development (not including standard version revisions), and you could in theory develop an application or website on the phantom platform. Their goal of a decentralized internet is not actually that unobtainable and with the right team is completely within grasp. The vision is that all parts of the internet will be housed across all devices that utilize the internet. We aren't talking like whole .jpg files or anything like that, but bits and pieces of data that to the device user will be imperceptible, but when taken as a whole will eventually make up petabytes of storage. If you have seen Silicon Valley season 4 then you might remember that it is very similar in concept to that. Now the positive thing is that SHIFT was made first so you don't have to worry that they are copying a comedy show from HBO.

SHIFT - Will it recover from the recent shenanigans?
by
bitphonics
on 07/02/2018, 16:02:58 UTC
I have been a huge proponent of SHIFT as of late, but recent events have made me question my choices and tested my resolve. I am holding my coin because I never sell for less than a profit (for better or worse), but I am wondering what does this community think. If you are not privy to the recent tidings then come along with me on a journey of silliness.

So to start on a positive SHIFT has a great team of developers (for the most part), and they already have their platform up and running. If they can get their ducks in a row they will be the first to market with a web 3.0 alternative! Now onto the recent nightmare. First they had announced last year that on January 31st  SHIFT would release its first white paper (1 of 4), along with a long awaited marketing road-map. The 31st came around and out comes the whitepaper, but no marketing roadmap. When looking at their timeline on their website shiftnrg.org/#/ you will notice that it has been pushed back to March 31st. I personally hate missing deadlines, especially when they are hyped up by the group themselves.

Well missing deadlines is fine, but now we have the most recent debacle. Over the weekend the development team had a million of their SHIFT coins STOLEN along with some other currency. 9k hit the market before depositing was halted on all of the major marketplaces. They have since held a vote among the delegates to decide what they action to fix this problem would be. It was decided they would have a hard fork and rollback everything from that 24 hour period. That 9k is gone (plus the other currencies), but the rest would be recovered. The takeaway from this is that apparently the security involved in this breach was very low from what I can see because it is being blamed on their passphrases being stolen. HOW WERE THEY STOLEN!!!

In any case, how bad is this? Am I right to be incredibly nervous about this? What are your thoughts?

You know... I would have said SHIFT was the next 100x but in all honesty you would need to have insider info to know what will be next. I had/have huge faith in SHIFT because it is a very talented team (those who are not masked) which has designed and released a very promising product. They released their first white paper (1 of 4) on Wednesday... but they have some problems with meeting deadlines/ setting incorrect deadlines, transparency with their delegate system, and the amount of coin being kept for their dev team. I have faith in the product based on everything I have read and tested, but who knows. At least 2x?  Huh

Re: Who's next to go to the Moon?

I would recommend taking a look into SHIFT. The purpose of their project is to create a decentralized internet (internet 3.0), and they have a working product to boot (dApp platform). On January 31st they will release their first white paper, in addition to their marketing road-map. Marketing is an area where they definitely faltered in the past, so it is pretty great to see that they are going to finally spend some time and money on it. Do not trust me though. Do some research for yourself.

Re: Any undervalued coins?
by

Shift is currently very undervalued. The development team has been working non-stop and already has a working product. This is also why the coin has not taken off like it should have. The team has put no effort or time into marketing Shift up until now. At the end of the month Shift will be releasing its first whitepaper along with a marketing strategy.

I would say shift is the next 100x coin. It is currently at a realistically low market cap, and it has a working product. In addition the team at the end of the month is going to release the first white paper for the project, along with their marketing strategy (which the lack of previously is why they are not much higher already).

Shift, another alternative blockchain that includes peer-to-peer storage, an uncensorable internet, and seamless monetization removing the need for third parties like Facebook or Youtube for content creators.

Yo! Great find man! Someone in the mainstream talking about the benefits of SHIFT is crazy to me, considering how little marketing has been done by their team. It really goes to highlight just how strong the tech behind shift really is. The idea of decentralizing the internet is just too important to fall by the wayside. January 31st can't come soon enough!

Shift is going to explode by the end of the month. With the release of the Phantom prototype on January 5th and the Marketing Plan and Whitepaper releasing at the end of the month I would be surprised if big things don't happen soon.

Re: Time to buy DeepOnion?
by

on 02/01/2018, 18:42:18 UTC
Deep onions price has rallied quite rapidly since the dump this morning. It back up to 49k, which is somewhat reassuring. However if all it takes for the coin to drop this dramatically is one investor choosing now is the time to sell then color me concerned. It shows that far too many coins are in the hands of early air-droppers, and the population of onion holders is too small. This has made me very nervous in addition to all the bad press that onion seems to get on this site.

I love deep onion, but one of the things that makes me a little nervous about it is the lack of a white paper. We are now very deep into the airdrop campaign and there is no sign of one. Having a more firm road map I think would help to take this coin out of the shadows and into more wallets.

Novaexchange down?
by

on 06/12/2017, 17:08:34 UTC
I know novaexchange is in the process of shutting down, and all coins not withdrawn by april will be considered donations. I went to go withdraw all of my coins from the platform today, and was unable to even view the website. Is anyone else having problems reaching novaexchange? Is anyone able to reach them? Please let me know, and if you are someone who has coins on Nova and did not hear they are shutting down, pull your coins now!
