Re: How can one be a good neighbor?
by

Well, most advices about being a good neighbour are common sense. I appreciate them, but I wonder: what should you do if your neighbours are really obnoxious? I am very polite and open to dialogue, but most of my neighbours barely reply and look like they are grumpy all the time.

You have all spoken like cold-blooded, expert traders. I am only curious: haven't you, too, been afraid to lose in the beginning? And aren't you even more afraid now, if the amounts at stake are really important?
Or are you trying to sell some sort of motivational course? Wink

I think travelling is a way of soulsearching. Or can become a way to run from yourself. At some point, you should find what you are looking for. Understand more about yourself. This doesn't mean to stop travelling, just to be able to learn from each travel, not treat it as a 4D movie.

Meeting people online is not bad. It can be fun, it can save the awkwardness of first dates and can give you a chance to detect warning signs beforehands. But online should not replace dating. Real life dating. That is the true test that will tell you if it will work or not.

Re: Stocks or crypto ? which has great future?

I don't think stock market is going anywhere, so it must be a good idea to keep a leg in it.
But crypto... it is developing so fast, so surprisingly, it fluctuates so much... and everyday there is something new to learn about it. As long as you are not high on adrenaline and don't forget to sell at the right moment, you can enjoy the crypto trade.

Whether you have/"play" with Bitcoin or not, you can't rely on it exclusively. Maybe the wisest thing to do is invest in various types of assets - money, cryptocoins, but also real estate and a "regular " business (be it a restaurant or a clothes shop). And having a profession, being really good at something other than crypto speculation, is always a good thing.

The complexity of life and the quantity of decisions someone must make daily are increasing. It's normal that some people can't adapt fast enough, or can't adapt at all. It's entropy.

Re: Our Children Nowadays

My kids are still interested in their textbooks. And don't find math difficult, I'd dare say they find it entertaining.
But they have had little access to technology and many, many occasions to play and study in the offline world. We move a lot outdoors, play board games, we read almost every single night, we talk about space and geography and dinosaurs and they have had time to develop patience and a fascination with some offline experiences.
It is always a matter of practice. And patience.

Re: VIRGINITY before getting married

Are you kidding?!
How can you know that you are sexually compatible with the one you are choosing as your partner for life without premarital sex?
What's the point in "saving yourself" for the marriage? What if you lose your virginity accidentally, not in a sexual act, are you less worthy of love and a happy marriage?

Even if you choose what to study, it is still education.
I suppose you refer to formal education, institutionalized. I guarantee that, once you figure out what you want to become educated about, formal education saves you a lot of time and energy Wink

Wow, that's great. I tried to quit Facebook, but I work in advertising and it's rather difficult to ignore such a big part of online media altogether.

You could join a translation bounty, or social media bounty first. And make sure to have some ETH in your wallet, to use as gas in case you want to transfer to someone else. Good luck!

Re: If marriages can expire, will you still renew?
by

I think people are wired to be serial monogamists rather than meant to spend an entire lifetime with just one person. But social rules have imposed the marriage for life, resulting in a lot of unhappiness. Maybe expiring marriages (with a duration of 5 years or so) would be liberating, and would give partners who feel are for life a good chance to renews their love and devotion. Just sayin'.

There was also the news about the BitConnect scam, and it resonated pretty hard with the public that is not very knowledgeable of the cryptocurrency world. It might have contributed to the wave of distrust that led to panicked Bitcoin owners selling fast. I am sure it will not last for too long, this drop.

Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth?

Of course. Plus, we must stop thinking about social media in terms of platforms - most of the platforms and apps have a social dimension embedded. Think of Waze, Youtube, Slack, Google - they all require users to create an account and create lists of friends. Even some of the crypto wallets have a social dimension, so... they go hand in hand.

Re: Special Education
by

In the long term, if we do not educate ”special” children, the cost to integrate them in the society will be greater. So, yes, from all points of view - human, social etc. - special children should receive education tailored for them. And, oh, by the way, when developing education for them we can find ways to improve mass education. Look at the Montessori, for example, which was initially developed for poor, orphan children and is now widely used.
