Most likely because he specified that he won't award people who's post history is full of bounty applications/account made for signature campaign:
NOTE: If your post history is full of bounty applications or your account is loaded with negative trust or any other reason I feel like, I will not reward you with merit.

Re: Is it easier to HODL if you are already rich?
by

Do you think it was easier to benefit economically from bitcoin if you were already a bit up in the ladder?

Yes, I think if you are already wealthy then it is far easier to hodl for a long period of time, as the money may not be as much use to you as it would be if you were not wealthy. For example, if you were not wealthy then you might need to stop holding crypto at any moment due to some emergency or other reason. But if you are already wealthy, you can just get money for emergencies and whatnot from someplace else. Although this example would change depending on the amount of wealth someone has compared to the amount invested in cryptocurrency.

Re: If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, do you still choose fiat currency?
by
bitsnack
on 08/08/2021, 01:22:28 UTC
Do you think cryptocurrency payment will be a new trend in the future?

I think that payment for employees in the form of cryptocurrency would only happen in the future if there was massive widespread adoption. One reason I think this is because at the moment in most places cryptocurrency is not fully adopted into everyday life. Many major retailers do not accept cryptocurrency, and in most places you cannot pay for rent or other things like that with cryptocurrency.
So once you think about this, it wouldn't make too much sense to receive your entire paycheck in a cryptocurrency if you would have to swap some or most of it over into fiat to survive.

Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up?

I couldn't put the full title in the subject line due to character restrictions, but here is the full question:
If bitcoin was fully adopted into everyday life, why would it ever be used for day-to-day transactions if the general consensus was that the price would always appreciate?

After reading several posts on this forum many people seem to think that Bitcoin will always go up. If this were to be the case, why would people spend Bitcoin at all? In this theoretical time, wouldn't it just be a poor financial decision to do?

Or is it thought that in this future where there is widespread adoption the price would stop being so volatile and for the most part stabilize?

Re: Online (Browser Based) Mining?
by
bitsnack
on 07/08/2021, 03:46:00 UTC
Is there an online mining app or a downloadable app that will allow me to chain these three Macs together and have a minuscule mining platform?

There are online miners that work in your browser (at least there were some, I came across several when I was doing micro earnings.) but these only utilize your CPU, and if you want to maximize your earnings you want to be using your GPU too.

There are many downloadable miners that you can use to utilize your GPU and CPU; you can find them on this forum, and there is also a section where you can find pools. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0 & https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=41.0)

In addition many of these online miners and miners don't actually mine bitcoin - they mine another cryptocurrency like Monero or Ethereum, and pay you in Bitcoin. This is because the mining difficulty is too high for CPUs or GPUs, as there are ASIC miners that can outperform them easily.

How did you start investing in cryptocurrency?

I started investing in cryptocurrency after I started reading and learning about it several years ago.

It peaked my interest a lot because I liked the idea that you could be in complete control of your funds, and that nobody could take it away from you as long as you acted smartly and made sure to secure your funds.
Another reason I started investing in it is because I thought that cryptocurrency has lots of uses now, and also in the future. (As now, many stores and other places accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrency's, and it is used in decentralized applications. & in the future, it is likely to be accepted in more and more places and used in different ways.)

Re: Proof of Stake - an alternative way to mine cryptocurrency
by

Cryptocurrency networks are not created to mine or stake and get rewards from staking or mining.
I did not say this.

Quote
Please don't arbitrarily to use the phrase "alternative to mining cryptocurrency".

Yet proof of stake is an alternative to proof of work? I would define 'mining' as confirming transactions and maintaining the blockchain and distributing rewards to the 'miners'. Proof of work and proof of stake both do these, so proof of stake is an alternative to the traditional 'mining' of cryptocurrency through proof of work.

Quote
Both have pros and cons. PoS coins are more easily to end with deaths.

For coins that have massive APY and are built on PoS, yes (But you should not be buying these shitcoins in the first place). But this is not true for coins that have real uses and a small, sustainable and realistic APY.

Re: Should we be able to post about liquidity mining here?
by
bitsnack
on 31/07/2021, 16:38:46 UTC
I wanted to educate this part of bitcointalk on liquidity mining because I have been making some really good profits.

Someone reported it and it got moved into the service discussions part of marketplace (which does not seem like the right place to me).

What is your opinions?

Should Liquidity mining be acceptable to post about here?

Well no, because the mining section of the forum is about the discussion of mining cryptocurrency through proof of work, proof of stake etc.

Liquidity mining has 'mining' in its name, but beyond that it has no relation to mining, as from what I am reading it looks to be about investing and receiving profit through loan interest and exchange fees.

POS for beginners: How to earn coins passively with no work
by
bitsnack
on 02/08/2019, 16:01:35 UTC
What is proof of stake?

Proof of stake (or POS) is just like proof of work. Proof of work is mining with mining power, for proof of work, your coins ARE your mining power.

The more coins you have, the more cois you will earn over time.

Where can I see a list of proof of stake coins?

Cryptoslate offers a great list in my opinion, each coin has a objective, and you can look on this list and find which coin is right for you.

(URL: https://cryptoslate.com/cryptos/proof-of-stake/)

Ive got coins, now how do I stake them?

There are several different routes that you can take, its all up to you.

Route 1: Staking coins yourself

On the official coin page, download the wallet, which will typically allow you to stake in the wallet, aswell as have a guide on how to do it.

Route 2: Using a online service

You can use a online service to stake for you, and they take a little fee. Its a much simpler route, but perhaps quite a bit more unsafe.

All you need to do, is register, deposit your coins, wait a bit, (24 hours at most) for coins to propegate, then they will begin staking and earning you a pasive income!

Some of the services I reccomend are BTCpop, SimplePOSpool, and Stakecube.

If you have any questions, or comments let me know, and I will assist you to the best of my ability!  Grin

🔥 Freebitco.in 100% REFSHARE + Massive bonuses 🔥
by
bitsnack
on 31/07/2019, 11:41:53 UTC
What is Freebitco REFBACK?

If your earn on Freebitco.in normally, it can be kind of slow, that is why we made this REFBACK program Smiley Whatever we earn from you as our referrals, 100 percent of it is given back to you, on top of many bonuses given out!

The more you earn on Freebitco, the more "activity" you get, and the more you earn from me!

The best way to get activity is to do your hourly roll everyday.

We earn 50 percent of whatever you make, so if you make 10,000 satoshis in a week, then on sunday you will earn a extra 5,000 satoshi from us, as well as other bonuses!

How often do you get paid?

Refback payouts are automatically paid to you every Sunday!

What are these "bonuses"?

Pretty much, everyday we will dish out some satoshis to our referrals, depending on your activity, the more activity, the more bonuses. Normally we will dish out 1,000 satoshis a day to active refferals, as we get more referrals this number will increase.

In addition, every Sunday we will share at least 5,000 satoshis to active refs

How do I join?

Joining is simple, use our special link, and you are added to our list and eligible for all bonuses/refshare

The reflink is in our signature Smiley
