Yeah, a notice or an alert on the site would have been nice... I hope he didn't die or something. I also really liked the idea. Anyone else know of another site like this?

I am working on a secure communication platform where you connect directly to your intended recipient. Oddly, it was my garage door that inspired me.

It will have many fail-safe features and I will try to make some sort of interception detection. I intend for it to be used over Tor or Freenet, but could even work on the regular internet, and I intend for it to be secure enough to even be able to transmit your messages in plain speaking, over the radio, etc.

Because transmitting encrypted messages over Ham Radio is not allowed by the FCC I will have to think on some legal work arounds.

I have noticed that the site and the ads load really slow. Are there any plans for increasing the load speed? If it doesn't get faster I will probably have to add a wait timer on my faucet.

The error I encountered was a 404 error and nothing being able to load. I think its safe for registered users and non registered users to continue using the site.

I would love to see that. Unfortunately it probably doesn't exist for a reason. If there is a tendency for them to get hacked even with the best security, it would be hard to promise something like that.

DailyBitcoins Was Down Because of a Vulnerability

I was on PeerBet just looking around while reading the chat. 'giantdragon' was on talking about how he just fixed a vulnerability on DailyBitcoins. A hacker apparently uploaded a malicious script through the banner upload which he has now fixed.

He might also be the owner of Bitships.

Chatlog (Cleaned up version):
Cheeseheaven: did dailybitcoin.org crash or something?
giantdragon: Daily Bitcoins is hacked again
giantdragon: I am trying to fix
Cheeseheaven: ah so that's what's happening :S
whitebeard: another bitcoin incursion!
giantdragon: Daily Bitcoins is online again
giantdragon: I hope hacker will be unable to intrude again...
Cheeseheaven: giantdragon could you make it easier to merge codes? Tongue
Cheeseheaven: for bitships? S: i am very lazy at stuff ....
giantdragon: at first I need to fix security issues...
giantdragon: there was a bug that allowed to upload malicious PHP file
giantdragon: it is fixed now but seems that hacker stole some passwords
giantdragon: I changed MySQL pass and user pass
Me: Is giantdragon the owner of Dailybitcoins?
giantdragon: yes, I am
saromman: and bitships?
giantdragon: attack was via banner
Me: I didn't think that was possible. Do you have it set to only allow certain file types?
gho57: Not the banner itself, but the upload script?
giantdragon: I did, but this hacker found some way to bypass it
Cheeseheaven: i didn't know you were the owner of dailybitcoins.org Shocked cool!
giantdragon: now I added .htaccess file to block PHP execution on uploaded banners directory

I have thought of "cancer-coins". Where every time a miner gets closer to curing cancer they get a portion of the cancer donations that will be called cancer coins. But that's all I have thought of so far...

But when reading your post I thought that if we were wasting so much power, it would be an incentive for the human race to find ways to generate even more power or do it more efficiently. But if we never found new ways to generate masses of power we would probably see a freeze in bitcoins.

BitSpout(.)tk is a faucet that started in 2012 but had to close because we couldn't find any solutions that met the needs of the site. Now thanks to http://Microwallet.org's scripts I have reopened the site. It has a low balance thus the low reward, but this is temporary until the site generates more revenue. You can earn every 3 hours, and after you have earned some BTC you will be able to earn more from a large list of bitcoin faucets. Once it has a big enough balance it will be listed on Land of Bitcoin which has over 5000 visitors a day. I try to keep my site as clean and fast as possible so that I don't waste anyone's time.

What do you think?

I was unable to link directly to the site so remove the '(' and ')'.
