Re: How is wealth distributed through Gambling
by
bitterguy28
on 20/07/2025, 23:39:28 UTC
Thereby creating opportunities for employments and some live to depend on such offers, at the end, money circulates and people have it base on what they have contributed so far, people also spend it on what they value and needed for their own benefits.

Gambling is great for all the job opportunities it offers to the people through casinos and betting shops, yet one thing is missing -- casino sponsored Psychotherapeutic clinic for problem gamblers. Allowing players who have faced troubles financially and mentally to suffer with no free health care attributed to them isn't fair to the gambling community. If the taxes gotten through casinos can be distributed to that department to maintain responsible gambling, it'll be of good use to the society.
why would the casinos offer this when they are the cause? they will lose customers if they did this the most they can do probably is restrict you from playing if you just ask them because you can no longer control yourself

Re: Body positivity / Fat acceptance

on 20/07/2025, 23:20:03 UTC
I believe people should mind their own business & not make fun of fat people. Bullying is bad & shouldn’t happen but the whole movement is BS. People getting jobs that they shouldn’t just because they’re fat, to meet quotas is wrong. Seeing big fat women on Victoria Secrets runways etc, Calvin Klein ads with obese women, it’s stupid & has gone too far.
yeah they shouldn’t be made fun of but i don’t think they are disadvantaged just because they weigh a little more they are just like anyone else so why offer them jobs? or special treatment? unless they have a health issue then i’ll understand

Re: Drinking vs Gambling
by

on 17/07/2025, 15:21:14 UTC
The only difference is that alcohol adverts most often spell out  the dangers of alcohol consumption more than gambling adverts do tell about how bad gambling can affect the gambler, maybe gambling adverts should start incorporating awareness of its dangers just like alcohol does but that could be bad business for then you know,  so they may not want to lay emphasis on it because ordinary people condem gambling much more than they do with Alcohol and so some persons can take alcohol while they condem gambling.  Personally I see it that its just the potential to been patronised that has made the gambling industry not include all of that just like the alcohol does.
gambling ads that i see do have a warning of responsibility  for their customers but they might not totally emphasize just how much gambling can be dangerous if not careful since like you said it might be bad for the business as it may sound like they are bad mouthing gambling already

Re: Critic Peter Schiff again on bitcoin
by

on 15/07/2025, 12:41:04 UTC
This is good, why are so many people criticizing him?

Peter Schiff is considered a contrarian indicator of the market, because every time he says bad or negative things about bitcoin. Sure enough, some time later, bitcoin prices tend to trend higher rather than move in the direction he predicted.
a definition of ragebait

i do not know why people still fall for it anytime. in a room of 100 people where 99 are bitcoiners and one is peter schiff do you really think he will still matter? no we outnumber him so he is not to be listened to anymore

Re: BTC has a new ATH and I'm FOMO. What about you?
by
bitterguy28
on 15/07/2025, 12:16:25 UTC
Personally, I can't wait for that. I'm definitely feeling the FOMO, but not to buy more, actually to sell! I'm just so afraid of missing out on the chance to take some profit from my BTC. Before this, I took profit twice when BTC first hit 100K USD and then 110K USD. This time, I had to adjust my plan. Instead of waiting until 125K USD, I sold some BTC as soon as it dropped from 123K USD to 120K USD. So, I've now taken profit 3 times, recovered all my initial capital, and secured some nice profit for the next crypto winter. From now on, no matter where the crypto market goes, I'm comfortably in that 5% profit group!
good for you this kind of strategy is not talked about much

it's not exactly trading but it is also not continuously holding it is like in the middle area but it does not mean that it is wrong as you said you have made profit already so it means it is working

the risk here is obviously selling all the bitcoin you have too early you will definitely have fomo to buy
Quote
I'd like to get your opinion on the market right now:
  • Do you think FOMO is back in the market?
definitely there are many who are still buying at this price
Quote
  • What do you think will be the ATH BTC can reach this season in USD?
$150k seems to be the next step realistically speaking

Re: A quick assessment: How has relationships helped your gambling activities? ‎
by
bitterguy28
on 13/07/2025, 23:34:33 UTC
I've always heard the saying "two minds are better than one," referring to the fact that it's always good and advantageous to have someone's help with something. In the professional field, this may even be true, but when it comes to gambling, I have a more personal perspective; I don't see gambling as a team effort. I've always gamble alone, so I can't say that if I did it with someone's help, the results would be better.
if money is involved i really don't think this would be wise lol most likely when you guys win there could be some arguments because obviously one person might always end up being the greedy one for example he may claim that his idea was really his therefore the winning money should be his alone even though you both contributed so really just play alone

Re: How did you feels on your first winning?
by
bitterguy28
on 11/07/2025, 15:48:41 UTC
After the first win i think o most 95% of gamblers want to bet again because you have a feeling that you can continue the winning run for sure. I personally after a win never stop so maybe its a mistake but it gives you a huge boost that you can win big that day and in most cases that dosent happen
.It is important for people to study gambling and observe things for themselves. At least some have played several games and lost them all, but eventually, they win a good amount. The lost experience at the beginning of the game might have taught them a lot about how gambling is, and for them to be mindful of how to spend the amount of money that has been won. The experience of losing in gambling should make gamblers understand more that gambling is unpredictable, and to gamble with caution.
you keep playing and you will learn a lot about the things you enjoy and things you don't and your expectations will also be tampered over time and you will be less optimistic and less impulsive

Re: What has peer pressure made you do??
by

on 11/07/2025, 15:21:52 UTC
Peer pressure has made a lot of people to indulge in illicit acts just to meet up with the trends of their peers and as a young man or woman, it is dangerous to be influenced by peer pressure.
when we are young, the desire to belong to a group of people is very strong because we are still trying to look for our identity and being in groups helps us find it but when we are grown adults we will be confident with our own identity and will no longer be pressured by other peers

Re: Winning Can Ruin You Too
by
bitterguy28
on 09/07/2025, 13:38:17 UTC
Despair from the fact that the deposit is almost lost, then hope when the bet increases and excitement, and when the increased Bet brings profit, returning the gambler's deposit + winnings, the gambler feels crazy joy, and continues playing. I do not know where else in life a person can experience such fast and bright emotions.

The festive mood is the reason why many gamblers admit that they return to gambling, not having the strength to quit it. Many say that they do not care about money, they want to hide and forget about reality among cheerful bright pictures and sounds, timidly hoping that the win is waiting around the corner. Our brain is chemical reactions, and if someone does not know why he wants to play uncontrollably, then this gambler should know that he has become dependent on the substances that our body receives during entertainment. But the trouble is that outside the game the world becomes dull.
It is the mindset of the gamblers, especially newbies. When they win, they think that there is more. It is a common trick by most casinos. However, every casino promotes responsible gambling. Even though casinos wanted more gamblers, it was still the decision of the gambler to fall into addiction or remain responsible. It now depends on how gamblers manage themselves.
not only newbies feel this way no matter how much we try to fight it there is still a part of us that hopes we can win again if we just won but sometimes we can rise above that hope and just take the prize and move on

Re: Bitcoin in Politics.
by
bitterguy28

Elon was for crypto even before but people from the internet are putting too much clout of what he's said that fiat. Before most of us are happy when Trump talked about the support for Bitcoin.

And now, we see that it's Musk that's saying that he's for Bitcoin even though we already know that he's for crypto but mostly with memes before.

Well, politics here and there is such a wild west and there's more to wait for the clash of these two.

Elon also does shit like Doge, so I don't give a shit about what he thinks. He can save it for his fake account on Steam or whatever. Politics still needs to be won with old school tactics and old money.

And until one of the Bitcoin whales becomes a true politician, we wont see anything useful related to Bitcoin come down with this.

I don't even know why we should care so much tbh.
I also think of him like that because he only thinks about himself and his money which has driven him crazy. And now he is creating new and new ways to make more money. That is why he has stepped into it now but he is competing with Trump due to which he may also get a loss which he does not care about.
possible.
how surprising a rich man wanting to be richer

i feel that once you get a taste of being rich, there is nowhere else to go but up so that is what they are all doing some of them may fly too close to the sun which elon musk might be doing but most likely he is going against trump not for money but pride

Re: Do you think positive mindset keeps you winning?
by
bitterguy28
on 07/07/2025, 16:01:49 UTC
Positive mindset isn't the only driving factor that determines our winning in gambling because one may have the positive mindset and do not make their analysis properly and still end up losing big time. Therefore you are right, good strategies can actually help us alongside with the position mindset + Luck to give us a better winning while gambling, it's also advisable to use an amount that can be subjective or subjected to lose than using amount we don't expect and believing a positive mindset to make a huge a payout, miracle doesn't working in gambling.

When gamblers stake above their means expecting to get a huge reward without losing, I don't know if I should call that positivity or delusion...my opinion here is that whether positivity is in or out of the equation without being disciplined and following principles a gambler would always lose... winning has nothing to do with positivity, it's either a function of skills or luck, these are the two things that actually matters
for me positive mindset should only come after a bad result that is when your positivity gets really tested because you will have a very huge urge to just wallow and be disappointed

before you place the bet, it’s still being called hopeful which there’s nothing wrong with but after you’ve seen the results and you remain to think you can win despite the very low chances then that is when it just turns to delusions

Re: Which is more addicting?
by
bitterguy28
on 07/07/2025, 15:51:19 UTC
Now, what is more addicting? Slots or sports betting?
In slot betting, the gambler can play for as long as he wants, but in sports betting, he does not have that opportunity. Especially if he bets on a specific match, after the game is over, he does not have the option to place another bet. I think it will be a little difficult to get addicted in sports betting.
it is possible to be addicted on sports betting if it were those quick matches and easy games

maybe it can be addicting when all you have to do is choose between win or lose which a lot of sports offer like tennis or baseball (correct me if i am wrong) so even without much information you can just bet without thinking much about it

Re: streamer promotes unregistered gambling platform
by

This is very popular everywhere, especially here in our country, mostly are in social media, where some of their video include advertising any gambling platforms, and these gambling platforms pay a huge amount of money to these personalities, especially if they have a lot of followers.

influencers these days do not really care as long as they are getting paid

this is why we hear a lot of them spread even products or services that are not actually good because they do not actually use it themselves they only make it seem like they enjoy it only because they were paid to do so

Re: How popular is salary lottery in your workspace?
by
bitterguy28
on 02/07/2025, 23:11:39 UTC
..
This is similar to arisan/ROSCA in my country because the system is not much different, everyone will deposit money but there is still a slight difference from your version of the salary lottery, namely that arisan participants can be anyone, not necessarily office colleagues and also not necessarily the entire monthly salary to be deposited in other words the nominal amount is free according to the agreement at the beginning and finally the draw can be through a wheel spin or it can also be sequentially like in your system, but of course everyone will get it back.
there seems to be different variations in different cultures because this is also a thing in my country but as you have said it is also not exclusive to just offices or workplaces i think this can be only beneficial if the money you put in rotation is not your entire salary but only a few extra dollars so you do not need to think much about it

https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/musks-son-lil-steals-spotlight-oval-office/story?id=118713138

A few months ago, he was a prince, accessing every wing in the White House. He had unhindered access to the president's office and even went with his young son to the Oval Office.

Today Donald Trump said he might consider reviewing Elon Musk's citizenship. So he might be deported to South Africa,  a country Elon betrayed. It was he who promoted the claim that white South Africans are facing genocide.

This is a lesson for everyone who is trusting politicians. Their focus is to use you and gain power. Immediately they gain authority you will be dumped because you have become useless.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/07/01/trump-musk-south-africa/84427588007/
lol this isn’t surprising at the very least

this is what happens if you try to come for the president of the united states, you just don’t leave and move on with your life i wonder if trump will actually do it though or is he just bluffing to scare elon musk? what i’m surprised by is how fast they turned in on each other

Re: The Fallacy Of The Maturity Of Chances
by
bitterguy28
on 30/06/2025, 22:56:40 UTC
The Fallacy of the maturity of chances is a common mistake among gamblers.

Some gamblers always think past events affects future outcomes.
For example, if a coin is lands heads up several times, some people
Think it's more likely to land tails up next.

But each coin flip is independent and the probability of heads or tails is always 50/50
i had to search what was the fallacy of the maturity of chances but it turns out it’s just another name for the gambler’s fallacy which is what it’s most commonly called as far as i know

anyway this is what drives gamblers a lot of the times the possibility of being “close to the win” and when they win it proves their point and they do it again when it’s just probably coincidence

Re: Bitcoin ensures freedom and protection among dire situations
by
bitterguy28
on 30/06/2025, 22:35:16 UTC
In Afghanistan, an entrepreneur adopted Bitcoin in 2013 to pay her employees who worked remotely from home. Bitcoin was introduced as an alternative to an archaic payment system called Hawala, full of flaws and lack of trust from recipients.

As the story advances, we can also see enthusiasts weren't totally prepared to adopt BTC, as they went into Bitcoin with more funds they could afford to lose, suffering severe losses once Bitcoin entered bearish seasons back then.
It is too far in the past and it is when Bitcoin adoption is very small than now. The lack of well-preparation for adoption in this story is similar to what happened with many retailed merchants and entrepreneurs in El Salvador months after Bitcoin Legal Tender in that country. They did not prepare their business management plan like how they will receive, store their business treasury in Bitcoin as well as how they can convert it to fiat currency or stable coin in order to avoid market volatility.
a decade later i think it’s possible now that people have improved their understanding of bitcoin and is now ready to properly adopt bitcoin into their lives there’s more information now about things you just mentioned so it’s easier for people to follow unlike before where bitcoin was seen as some niche internet technology

Re: Do winnings encourage you to gamble often, or are they just another stimulant?
by
bitterguy28
on 27/06/2025, 20:41:34 UTC
For this same reason, despite having been very lucky that day, I never tried again. There was no stimulating factor that would lead me to try betting on that lottery again. So I assume the winnings don't constitute a large enough percentage of the stimulant to make someone become a gambler overnight.
you just so happen to be responsible but a lot of people may be more vulnerable to being addicted in gambling when they win or even if they just get close to winning it makes them want to keep going for more
Quote
I think it must be an accumulation of stimulating factors that make certain types of bets seem attractive to us, based on our personal tastes.

What do you think?
i agree that it’s an accumulation of factors including how you are as a person like how mature you are and responsible you are stuff like that
