When I made this post I didn't think I would get so many messages !! And people thinking im a scammer despite my Trust level.

At the time I thought the 0.1 BTC would be worth more because it is untouched, it is a old paper wallet created 3 years ago, I thought this would add value since they are an old coin.... after being called a scammer, I have learnt otherwise, I now know it is worth no more.

I was not planning to sell for Fiat, I don't want Fiat for it, I was wondering if someone wanted my 0.1 BTC created in 2015 for 0.11 BTC as I can't be asked to do the coin splits,

Total crypto marketcap is about to hit 1 trillion 2018 is going to be a big year !
What do you think ?

Is it just me or does no one understand anything ? He is asking about the total market cap of crypto, so .... EVERY BITCOIN + ALTCOIN ADDED TOGETHER !!!

Currently this value is roughly $500,000,000,000, I believe it can hit 1 Trillion in 2018, maybe towards the end of the year.

for the people thinking he means 1 bitcoin = 1 trillion, don't be ridiculous haha it will never reach 1 million, maybe 25k max

0.1btc is 0.1btc.
If you are talking about an old cold wallet that may worth more because of the physical wallet that it is being located at( for an example, cassacius 0.1btc coin costs more then 0.1btc, as cassacius is a collectibe item and people searches for the coin rather then the value it's loaded with).

If it's just a paper wallet, the fact that the input has been existed for 2 years or more doesn't really increase the price, besides the fact that because the coins are old you probably own Bitcoin cash and bitcoin gold as well( bitcoin forks tokens), you should be checking your balance at those blockchains, because you may own more then just 0.1btc.

Yeah the wallet has 0.1 BTC, 0.1 BTG + 0.1 BCH, I am selling it for 0.15 BTC, its worth more because I printed out the paper wallet. and the ink the paper wallet was printed on. 0.15 is a fair price.... I maybe will accept 0.149 or 12 Lite coins  Tongue Tongue

Hi,
I have a 0.1 BTC paper wallet that has not been touched since 2015, I don't know if it is any more valuable since its untouched ? Some one might want to offer some more BTC for it, I don't know ?

If you don’t know how to sweep all the coins, I’d offer .105 btc to be held in escrow until I can sweep the coins.

Hi, I am happy to do this if you can upgrade your offer to 0.15 BTC

Even if this is bilge, I find the lack of awareness on how you'd deal with something like that on this thread rather pitiful.

No one with these amounts goes to an exchange. You go straight to an OTC broker who'll have family offices, hedge funds and other deep pockets salivating at the idea of being able to buy such a large amount in one go.

They pay you directly P2P with zero effect on the market.

I hope you lot don't wind up with thousands of BTC or you'll go straight to Yobit and obliterate everything.

I don't think 8000 BTC being dumped on the market will really 'obliterate' bitcoin

Re: [WTB] Gaming laptop gtx 960m, 1050ti or higher.

I have a MSI gaming laptop, I believe it's an Apache GE72; it has a GTX 965M inside of it and I think it sounds like it would be right up your alley. I haven't used the laptop in quite some time, though I periodically boot it up to recover an old file or perform updates/maintenance and the only problem is that it needs a new screen. My girlfriend dropped something on the screen and it doesn't work anymore. I used to game on it, playing PUBG, H1Z1 and things like that. It's in good condition, works fine, nothing internally wrong or malfunctioning.

For the most part the laptop was used for school and small work projects. I'm wondering if you would be interested in something like this, it has the kind of card you're looking for and as I said the only problem is needing a screen replacement.

I also have a GTX 980 TI card that I'd be willing to part with for the right price/trade. The GTX 980 TI would only be the card, however, as I need the rest of the rig.

I'll be watching the thread, so feel free to respond here or shoot me a PM; I'm flexible on the price, just want something fair for it. You can pick the escrow, I honestly don't mind who it is as long as they're trustworthy, obviously, and preferably an "official" escrow.

How much are you looking for ? In BTC or GBP / USD / LTC / ETH

Re: Laptop Stolen with Bitcoin Wallet
by

on 06/01/2018, 20:49:41 UTC
My laptop got stolen a few hours ago. It had all my data including bitcoin too.
Fortunately I had the seeds with me and I have now installed Electrum on my work machine and recovered the wallet with those keys.
It also asked for a password and I have gone with a new one. The wallet is still Synchronizing.

Now my question is, are my bitcoins safe now? Do I need to do anything else? The stolen laptop has the electrum in it, what else should I do to make sure that my bitcoins are secure?

No your funds are not safe mate because the recovery words just duplicate the old wallet. You need to physically create a new wallet and transfer all funds over, do it before the thief does, Good luck !

A good idea might to be purchase 1000 DASH ($1 million ish about 90 Bitcoin) You get proof of Stake and will get 2 DASH per week as interest, you so just easily sell of the interest received roughly $6000 a month

This would be a good investment with your huge holdings of bitcoin

I would presume one of the cheapest places to sell the BTC would be the UK, I believe you would pay CapitalGains on the sell and it will be 28%

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/rates-and-allowances-capital-gains-tax/capital-gains-tax-rates-and-annual-tax-free-allowances

I would also say Kraken is the way you could sell bitcoin quickly you can sell $500,000 a month when you verity your account to Level 4

But also, they can freeze account at anytime and then good luck getting a-hold of them lol.

I would probably do it on Coinbase, a verified account can do $20,000 a day, so just transfer 20k a day and withdraw it every day

Thanks everyone for the advice.Contact Gemini or other for big exchanges private deal should be the best idea so far,

because I can't even get verified account on these exchanges, they only allow US citizen.

Best of luck going forward, would you consider selling small amounts to us in the mean time Smiley ?

Re: Fees increase with old wallet ($200 FEES !!!!!)
by

Welcome to the btc world. We are in a similar situation. I have a wallet full of bounty earnings. I can't even withdraw the coins because of the fees. I have decided to leave it there. Hopefully once the lighting network is implemented.. Maybe the fees won't be so much. But I must say these high fees are just ridiculous.

Its not that bad what people portrait. Today I sent a payment of 0.42 btc with just 0.00180000 Fee. And I sent a priority high fee, Transaction was confirmed in an hour.

So why am I being quoted 0.015 BTC to move just 0.1 BTC ? I have tried both electrum and blockchain.info, and this was the cost for moving the funds out of the paper wallet at 300/sats.... the only reason why the fees are so high must be because it is a 3 Year old wallet. ?

I have imported the private key into Electrum and the fees are 0.015 BTC to move 0.1 BTC. The wallet is nearly 3 years old

Do fees increase with a old wallet ?

I have a old wallet, it has several inputs, the paper wallet contains 0.1 BTC, the fees to move the 0.1BTC is 0.015 Almost $200 Huh
