Bitcoin investor Karl Gray, founder of Startjoin and Life on Bitcoin producer, is teaming up with Max Keiser to create a Maxcoin price stabilization fund. He will also be integrating Maxcoin (MAX) into the Startjoin project.

Two weeks ago, Gray was a guest on the Keiser Report where in the second half of the show he announced he was buying Maxcoin on the open market.

I think when the new client is released in June, you'll see a retest of the Dec 2013 highs.

In my view, it would do a world of good if there was a better understanding by investors of the relationship between Maxcoin and Max Keiser. There seems to be a strange gray area in regards to his level of involvement and commitment to the currency.

This has been brought up in the past and is always answered with basically a "non-answer".

Is this what's causing the BTC and MAX prices to increase recently?

In my opinion, this would be a good time to get out until some coherent plan is devised and announced.

This coin could possibly make a comeback, but with a client that won't sync, a missing block explorer, a dev team apparently in chaos, and a block reward the size of the Atlantic, I suggest maintaining a view from the sidelines.

The coin is generating 3,600,000 coins per day. Roughly 80 million new coins this month alone.

Having the block explorer down for this long makes the output rate less noticable. But miners are holding buckets full at the moment.

Forking a coin takes a very high level of dev skill.

Not sure how this will be accomplished when a simple block explorer can't be built.

I think the point of decentralized currencies is that the entire community work together for the betterment of the whole. Communities shouldn't expect 2 or 3 people to carry the entire load. Anyone in the community can make a forum, build a block explorer, or host a node.

The main problem up until now has been with development and coin inflation. Now reportedly all this is about to change.

1. According to a post today by a member of the development team the coin is about to get an update to address the syncing issue and a new block explorer. When this happens, the coin total will be corrected on coinmarketcap.com creating a powerful spike in market capitalization and ranking.

2. Next the coin will be forked to reduce the currently unsustainable coin inflation. It has apparently finally been decided that the current rate of inflation exceeds the coin demand thus a coin reduction is necessary. It has been shown that when this happens, coin valuation generally rises on news of the fork.

I believe this combination of Payu ramping up marketing efforts, combined with the much needed technical improvements, along with the coin adjustment fork will result in this currency returning to a relatively high position in the charts.

Any fork will have to have Payu's approval I think to be adopted. Otherwise people won't update.

The main problem I see at the moment is that very very basic technical needs that are being completely ignored. There are users on this forum for example that will build a simple block explorer same day for little cost.

Also the client syncing issue needs to be addressed by the development team.

You guys need to get a working block explorer today and contact coinmarketcap.com with the new link. This is a basic straight forward process that can be done in a few short hours.

And please remove the cryptorush link from the OP of this thread. I also notice the Android App link is broken. Addressing these simple issues relays a message of competence to the markets.
