Me : have been mining on my alienware 17 since 2016, only fans failed. . Rest going strong. . :-) no issues :-) on 1070 nvidia getting 31.5 mhs

My settings for 1080 TI's range from

Core clock : + 50 to +100
Memory clock: +350 to +550
Power limit : 81% to 84%
Gpu power consumption : 200 to 230 watts

And get 45 to 46 mhs on phoenix miner with straps 2

Claymore needs to update miner to support a newer driver i guess :-) as the supported driver has reached its epoch limit. :-)

Settings range from

Core clocks 1120 to 1150
V 800 to 845 mV

Memory 2050 to 2100
850 mV

Using claymore with sraps 1 and 2

Various RX 580s 8gb sapphire nitro has best cooling according to me. All other brands fan is failing after 3 years of runtime :-)
Each card separately fine tuned (could do more) :-)
Avg setting 1180 core @840mv , mem 2100@850mv using claymore with straps 1,2 rxboost 1 -y ....
I get average 32.x mhs @ 135watts on each gpu(miner shows 85watts average), could make it more efficient but dont want to reduce hadhrate as have fixed power rate :-)

6 gpu rig total : 196mhs@850watts off wall. . Claymore shows 540 watts gpu consumption lol, i wish :-)

Most probably nvidia will lock the bios and make it less efficient for mining. . We need compute drivers for nvidia gaming cards. . :-)

For me the best straps option is giving same hashrate but consuming 2 watts more pre gpu.  Does it mean more headroom to overclock ? :-)

Try increasing the power draw by a few watts to get more hashrate :-)

I use strap 6 with cclock +125 mclock +450 powlim -20 and get 49mhs now on the aorus 1080ti. earlier was doing with -25 powlim getting 54mhs.

Had to increase power draw a bit.

I have been mining on alienware laptop since 2016, no issues so far.  . Only fan failed, put my own fan and it's all good. :-)

I have 1070 ti titanium, best i get is on claymore with +150 core +650 memory,  65% power limit, strap 1 getting 34.5 mhs 120 watts power draw.

Might not work for new gen cards, as i dont have them . :-)

Use gpuz or similar program to know what brand memory the gpus have , then use


Strap 1 - hynix
Strap 2 - Samsung
Strap 3 - Micron / Elpida

Depending on lottery
Strap 4 - Hynix
Strap 5 - Samsung / Micron / Elpida
Strap 6 - worked with micron and elpida

For nvidia cards now u need to increase power draw to get same hashrates as before.

If u restart miner just after dev free is mined, the devfee timer gets reset and it again starts to devfee mine in 10 -15 minutes. . Anyone else see this happening. . ?
