So I am mining Ethash on a 1080 TI with 11 Gb under linux and I notice that with only relatively minor variation whenever a share is submitted it is around 52ms, give or take only 5ms almost every time.

If there is a particularly "unlucky" block and it takes a lot longer for one of the miners to find a share and move it on to the next block, I never see a time to find share of, say, 120ms.

I haven't run the stats, but I would say the distribution of times does not reflect what I would expect for the solve time, you would think that all guesses are equal up until a block is solved, so they shouldn't be so heavily clustered as this - what's up here and what does this tell us about maybe optimising the algorithm?

nodes pay 4.5 right now. Its the same for u ?

same here since afternoon of 17 Jan 2018

Superblock has been activated, 0.5 XMCC from each reward goes to coin governance fund of some kind, still trying to work out the details

mining-dutch has worked great to me everytime.
its just that the network diff for this coin is too high.

Price is high and now the nodes instead of miners favoured, it's great if you bought nodes 3 months ago.

we need bittrex

Yeah, I am running 7 masternodes, about to be 8, but struggling to retain faith that this is going anywhere anytime soon.

Well it looks like the increased rewards have really kicked it along, but seems rewards are every second day instead of every day, so really only x1.25 compared to earlier, but price is up. Let us see how it lasts.

Hi
How can I setup a node?
I am not able to find technical documentation anywhere and the GitHub is fairly incomplete.
1000000 utn
Core i6cores, 32 gb , 256 gb ssd is minimum.
Are not official information Wink

For real? I have to buy 1M UTN just to start a node?

Isn't this against decentralization? HW requirements aren't too much tho.

Are there also network requirements (minimum download or upload speed or both)?

A VPS at Vultr like that costs $640 USD a month, so they must be expecting returns to at least cover costs pretty soon or no one will run their nodes, seems like a very strong positive signal to me.

Is there someway to buy UTN using fiat directly?

As far as I know they accept only btc and eth

And LTC

First of all, I am invested in NEO but when I read this article, I have to admit that there are good points...

https://storeofvalue.github.io/posts/major-neo-redflags/

There are actually only 6 contracts on the whole ecosystem... https://neotracker.io/browse/contract/1

And it is true that NEO makes announcements of announcements. I like the way NEO is pumping but it should be for the right reasons, shouldn't it?  Huh

This article is there to spread FUD. Pure BS.

Okay, I like to believe it, but could somebody counter the article with something more substantial than just saying it is BS?

Why The Red Flag Post is a Red Herring

The NEO "red flag" post makes some accurate statements, but are they relevant?
Seems to me the post twists context to a pre-desired outcome.
Remembering that tokenised money systems (eg Fiat and crypto) and religion have a strange common element in that they only work if you believe in them, what are the key aspects that make a good crypto?

1) Genuine use case or utility value.
2) Strong community and minimum critical mass of believers and adopters.
3) Active devs with credibility and that foster and follow the "greater good" of a flourishing [Suspicious link removed]munity.
4) Usability for the relevant use case, eg BTC has lost usability for spending, but due to the belief system and relatively mature tech still has use case for store of value.
5) Lack of impacting regulatory issues.
6) Stability of base parameters - eg number of coins to be circulated etc.

If you examine NEO in this context, it looks OK to me, worth a punt, as we say in Australia.

Anything can happen in crypto but the red flags raised are not really relevant in the context of the criteria I list.

What should I do if I do not pass the test when installing masternodes

JSONRPCException: -342: non-JSON HTTP response with '401 Unauthorized' from server
venv/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/bitcoinrpc/authproxy.py:187: JSONRPCException
self =
    def _get_response(self):
        http_response = self.__conn.getresponse()
        if http_response is None:
            raise JSONRPCException({
                'code': -342, 'message': 'missing HTTP response from server'})
        content_type = http_response.getheader('Content-Type')
        if content_type != 'application/json':
            raise JSONRPCException({
>               'code': -342, 'message': 'non-JSON HTTP response with \'%i %s\' from server' % (http_response.status, http_response.reason)})
E           JSONRPCException: -342: non-JSON HTTP response with '401 Unauthorized' from server
venv/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/bitcoinrpc/authproxy.py:187: JSONRPCException
=============================== 1 failed, 19 passed in 1.46 seconds ================================

I had this problem when I modified the RPC username/address - short answer reinstall from scratch is easiest quick path forwards.

ok so in nano paste the following line in

* * * * * cd /home/YOURUSERNAME/sentinel && ./venv/bin/python bin/sentinel.py >/dev/null 2>&1

where it says YOURUSERNAME change this to the name of the user you made (in the monacocoin website tutorial they use "bob")

so like this

* * * * * cd /home/bob/sentinel && ./venv/bin/python bin/sentinel.py >/dev/null 2>&1
