Re: Nxt Coin API funds transfer

Hello all:

I have been working on an exchange for nxt coins to bit coins and vice versa.  I have been using the nxt coin api to integrate with sending coins to our account.  As it stands right now to get the nxt coins in the user is required to submit a form informing us they sent us the coins to an account we generate for them.  This of course creates a dummy transaction in a pending state that we can use to poll against the nxt client to see if they in fact sent us any coins or not.  In looking at some of the other exchanges that take nxt coin, with the exception of dgex, it seems all the user has to do is send the coins to the account.  I am wondering if anyone could shed some light on if there is an industry standard way of doing this, if anyone else has created any sort of cryptocurrency exchanges involving nxt I would like to know if there is any one preferred method of depositing the coins into their trding account.

Hi blgussiaas,

Please feel free to contact opticalcarrier here on bitcointalk or wesleyh on irc.freenode.net #nxtalk

They will be able to help you with integrating Nxt to your exchange.

thanks mcjavar

Hey hostmaster:

I actually got it working again and I should probably take this post down.  turns out I had an outdated client running and some of the datafiles were corrupted.  after uninstalling the old client and updating with a new one it seems to have resolved the issue, after the block chain was updated my balance is back.

what about nxt coin?  you don't need any GPU's to collect fees, just a lot of nxt but I don't think 300$ will get you a whole lot of nxt maybe just around 5000 (not sure exactly but you would probably need a lot more nxt in order to make it worth it for you.

Does anyone know what the exact security loop hole it was that brought these guys down, was it a Finney attack of some kind?  I thought it was something to do with people making it look like they were deposits on the block chain but they weren't actually getting deposited.

How to send fractional nxt coins
by
blgussiaas@gmail.com
on 26/02/2014, 02:11:08 UTC
Hello all:

I am trying to send 5.5 nxt coins, with BTC it is possible to send fractional amounts and this is what I am wanting to do with the nxt.  But it doesn't seem to work, is this a feature that may be added down the road?
