Re: [ANN] BEAM | Mimblewimble | Private | Scalable | No ICO | No Pre Mine
by

I messed around on Sparkpool and mined a single, 1 BEAM.    Sent payment to my wallet. It never shows up.     Here's the issue with the BEAM wallet i have found.

1) If you mine to an address that expires, will never arrive
2) If you delete a created payment address, payment will not come to the deleted address even though it was initially created in your same wallet.
3) If you have to restore from seed while mining, you can no longer receive the mining rewards in your mining account because you cannot re-create the same addresses you were mining to after you restore the wallet with the seed.

In my instance, I had created about 10 non expiring addresses to mine on several pools, ended up deleting several of them that I didnt end up using, and copied a deleted address to my batch file I was using to mine with by mistake (instead of one of the active ones).    Again, it was just 1 BEAM, but it clearly shows that if you delete the address, you can't get them back.   On sharkpool, I have a balance in an address that is no longer on my wallet, so it will never show up.

I have since fixed by using an unexpiring listed address, but a word for everyone to make sure you are mining to an active address on your wallet, and don't restore from seed or you won't get your coins either.     I'm not sure if this is meant to be this way or what.   This has to have happened to others I would think.

Mined a couple BEAM just to see how everything would work.     While wallet remains online, not receiving the rewards from Sparkpool after initiating a withdrawl and waiting several hours.    Moving on to a project that works.

Any way to add CAST_XMR?   There are no good programs to mine XMR with.  XMR-Stak running 1 thread instead of 2 is about 15% slower than cast.    Im assuming it must be a challenge in implement Cast or else it would have been done already.  My RX580s get 925 h/s on Cast, and only 750 on xmr stak with 1 thread.  Multiply that by 13 and I'm looking at a Vega amount of hashrate I am losing.

Peace

Re: [ANN][SMART] SmartCash POW with Instant Payment + SmartRewards + SmartNodes
by

And now, the Smartnodes that they introduced at the same time also has a major vulnerability where certain nodes are getting paid 4,5, and 6 times per day while most others are waiting 14 days for a single payment.   Some exploit which allows them to not move out of the queue (i do not know how and they will not say).      The rouge node operator(s) are using their additional SMART coins to create more Smartnodes to further take more coins from everyone.     Someone did a quick calculation and found that the person(s) is clearing at least 60,000 Smart per DAY with all the nodes (the payments rewards are all getting funneled back into the same address so its easy to track).

The devs are banning anyone who questions this to keep it on the down low on their discord (just as they tried to keep the exploit and rolling the BC back a complete secret from everyone).     I really like the project, but the development is either the most unlucky I have ever seen, or they don't know what they are doing.    Their PR couldnt be worse especially since they completely botched the Zerocoin/cryptopia mess.    I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but there are 10,000 smartnodes where people bought 10,000 coins each who are all getting screwed and they basically are saying they are going to continue to be screwed for another 2 months.    There is about $20,000,000 USD in SMART locked up in Smartnodes currently and the coin only has a daily volume of $195,000.

As the node owners realize it's going to take 15-20 days to get a single reward when it should only take 7, they are going to start to ask more and more questions.    Then they will dump this coin.      No way they can hold this together for 2 more months.

Just wanted to inform people so at least you can ask questions... Just look at the payouts.   Sort by number of payments.   I don't even need to explain any further

-eres 0 fixed this problem for me while mining ETC.  I have not tried it yet with ETH.   I will prob. be moving to ETH soon as I have been toggling back and forth.    No idea why it is not working for some.     I have 12x 3gb Gigabyte OC cards (the cheapest 2 fan versions) on this rig

Hi Guys, I am trying to bring more attention to Smartcash and mining Smartcash to bring more people into the space.     If you have a second to watch and like and share, it could help to get more people involved in this project!    I know I'm not that great and making vids, but just trying to help out any way I can.

Im mining on popularpool and its finding lots of blocks, it displays my hashrate when I type in my address but it's not giving me any XAO when blocks are found 0 in pending as well as 0 in total paid... Oh well... Wanted to give it a try.   Works exactly like the ETN wallet used to unfortunately the pool isn't paying me for some reason....?

I have been running a MN with no problems for the last 1.5-2 months, but now, starting yesterday, it said watchdog expired in the masternode tab.  I restarted the MN from the windows wallet, it says pre enabled and when I went back into the wallet, it said enabled.    Now today it says restart required, so I restarted it again and now it says PRE_ENABLED.      Is their something I need to update that has suddenly started causing this because it was working flawlessless for over a month and never had to restart.     I know there have been a lot of changes and appears to be a newer wallet on the Github that what I am running?

Also, when I look at the MN list, it shows nearly half the masternodes say NEW_START_REQUIRED or WATCHDOG_EXPIRED on them also so there must be an issue that came up.    If anyone knows anything please let us know!

Thanks!

Count me in as someone whos having some issues with the Beta.   On Nvidia cards, cryptonight crashes out of memory errors on Benchmarking,  Neoscrypt is failing as well.   Trying to use MPH.   Once I take out those 2 Algos, it seems to be working.    Would really like to have those in there though.    I can run CCminer directly no problems on either of those Algos so I'm not sure what to do to fix?

I knew there probably was some simple fix for that.   I'm trying out the Beta version now.    One suggestion is to add ZM_0.5.5 for equihash.   That new miner is about 5-7% faster.  Really works well.

Probably already addressed many times in this multi page thread, but the benchmarking takes too little time for some algos especially for multiple cards.   Sadly, sometimes these CCMINER versions take 5 or more minutes for all the cards in a rig to get going and the benchmarking shuts off way before the true hashrate can be discovered.      I use this software a bunch and really like it.   Something I've been meaning to come back and ask about.

Can someone help me out.   I have had a MN for a couple months and have been getting payments no problem for a couple months.   When I check the block explorer, it shows that I should have 2.0 more CRAVE than I currently have in my wallet and it turns out, they were 3 different reward payments, 1 being just on the 9th.     Haven't gotten a payment since 9th at 02:00 which is highly unusual for me to go this long although not long enough to worry I know.

At any rate, does anyone know how to have my wallet pick up those 3 transactions?    I have a tried a repair wallet in debug console and that doesn't do anything, and also tried a chaincoin-qt -resan from the command line and that does nothing as well.     Very strange indeed.      Any ideas as to what I could do?

Its stunning how stupid you are, as you really cant the see the big picture Cheesy

as i said earlier, keep posting here, brings more eyes to chc.

I have been running several masternodes since August and had always received rewards nearly every day since they started.   Starting back in the beginning of November, I noticed a drastic reduction in reward payments for all my masternodes.    On discord, I repeatedly asked if there was a problem.   I was told no, it was me just being impatient.  Payments are "random" and I just must be unlucky.   Over the next few weeks, more and more and more people kept coming into discord saying the same thing, who were also met with being told the same thing.    I even completely re-installed 3 of them on new servers in completely different cities with different hosting companies and still received no payouts.     For the month of November, I received on average 2 payments of 3.6 CHC for each MN that I had running.

The biggest recipient is CHC address CGvbmcGYAZq224jDzqZts1ysXd2qV3irHi.   Its not Suprnova, Yiimp, or zpool that I can tell.

See the chain your yourself...   http://104.238.153.140:3001/

Hopefully they get this pushed out soon to fix this problem.     I really want CHC to succeed before CHC MN operators dump their coins to go with a more profitable MN.

=============================== 1 failed, 19 passed in 1.46 seconds ================================

I was getting this same error this evening and was working on it for hours and discovered was very simple fix.   I am assuming it is with test_monacoCoind.

1. verify your .monacoCoin.conf file located in .monacoCoinCore.  This is where my problem was.
2. I don't know which fix did it, but I had a couple things that did not look right in the file.   first, I had rpcuser = xxxxxx so I took out spaces before and after the = sign.   rpcuser=xxxxx (and did so on all other variables in the file).   I am not sure how they got there.  They may actually be there in the installation file before it's modified.  I cannot remember.
3. I put a blank line between maxconnections=24 and masternode=1 (the instructions show one being there and i did not do that)
4. If you find any issues, you must edit the file, save it, stop the monacoCoind, then restart it.   After that, rerun the test.    mine passed after I made those simple changes.  I attribute it to being late.   The problem is more than likely an error in that .conf file.

Anyone having problems getting the masternode payments?   I was getting them every day or 2 for the whole month, sometimes twice a day, and for the last few days nothing.    It says it's running in the masternodes tab.   Just curious if this is common.   I wasn't sure if there was an issue on my end with the VPS.   The staked coin are in my local windows wallet.

I am interested in mining this coin.   Can anyone give me a suggestion on a good pool that has a good amount of the total network hashrate?   Currently, I use miningpoolhub but was hoping there was another that had more miners and pool hashrate.

Thanks!

Guys I need help.   Let me preface this by saying I screwed up majorly with one of my masternodes.    I am running on Ubuntu 16.04 and it was working fine but it completely crashed without a backup and lost everything.    I have the CHC masternode address that contains the coin as well as the CHC masternode Private Key.    Is there any way to get the coin back and if so, how do I do it?   I will send anyone a nice tip if they can help me get this back up and running.    I do not have a copy of wallet.dat.   I hadn't backed it up like I should have when the installation was finished and 2 days later, FAILURE

Would really appreciate some assistance if at all possible  Thanks!

Can anyone give me a little help on mining Bitcore with the miner?   I am running fine on sigt but when I change the coin to btx or bitcore, it simply doesnt run and goes to the pause line of the batch file.     Is there anything else specific that needs to be done?   I simply left everything the same that works fine with sigt and changed the coin name from sigt to btx.    Thanks!

If you bother to read 6 posts above yours you see that I already wrote that the CWI miner doesn't support BTX yet. You have to use ccminer or something else.

--ypsi
No worries.  I read at least 30 previous pages but didn't read the latest page.  My apologies.   It does list btx as an option in the readme that comes with the miner, so I didn't think that the included documentation that came with the miner was not accurate and assumed it was just my syntax
