As long as you don't shout how much you have and how much more will you get - it's ok. It's common sense not to disclose amount of money that you have imo

Whitepaper is a must read if you want to check project and know more about them and their products. How can you contribute if you don't even know what this project is about? The funniest part is that people who don't read go to Telegram and whine that they didn't know about some things/features of project lol  Grin

Re: Why Russia, USA and China don´t allow free investment in ICOs?

It is curious how these three countries, that have in common a vast population and large economies, but otherwise are very different keep on putting limits to the economic freedom of their citizens? Do you think the government has the right to decide on what and how much can you invest?

For those who don´t know what I am writing about:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accredited_investor

https://www.coindesk.com/pboc-official-calls-for-wider-ban-on-chinese-crypto-trading-report/

https://news.bitcoin.com/russia-proposed-regulation-limits-icos-investors/

Russia has not banned anything. This summer they must pass a law. I read the bill, there's nothing about bans. They want to limit the contributions of private investors, but no more. The US this year also promises to pass the law, but they act very carefully, that there would be no panic. I think that everything will be fine.

Yeah, sure, everything will be fine except that the government has set a limit to the individual contributions, so they are effectively telling you how much can you invest with YOUR money.

That's may be true (we need to wait for the laws first) but regulations are good imo (anybody can stole your money in unregulated space - scam ICOs are not exception) so let's wait and see

I was wondering this problem. Do you think some ICO are hiring people to comment positively on their ICO post ?

Is it legal under the forum rules

I think it's some kind of a bounty, "proof of shill". Bounty hunters write posts, screenshot them (or provide a link), send to bounty manager and get stakes/spot in ICO whitelist

Information about KYC process (ICO stage and afterwards) is really important, agreed. I don't want to wake up someday to see a loan on my name lol
About second point - I tend to agree with you. Real names and real photos (at least logo of the company) are good sign. I think that providing TG links to official team members in pinned message in chat is also a must - too many scammers nowadays

Re: Are altcoins really on sale right now?

Everyone keeps saying stuff like "coins are on sale right now", "look at the price, it's a bargain", etc..

But every single one of these coins was at least valued 5x lower just a few week ago. There is a correction now, but most of these coins are still ridiculously overvalued in my opinion.

Thoughts?

Instead of buying into these coins I feel it would be smarter to look for promising project that still have a low market cap instead.

Depends - you can find promising projects and you can also buy the dip of already good ones with working products

There are some worthless projects and you missing good ones.

Let’s talk about how much did you get money of some of these bounties. Do you have any examples because I don’t believe that the deal with bounties could be profitable thing. It is better to do other work.

As far as I know you can (especially in content bounty) and it is also a way to earn more tokens (if you participate in ICO/TGE of the project)

It depends on whether you believe in token you hold or not (believe in the project or not). And don't forget to always diversify your portfolio!

Check team page on website and look at their attitude towards participants of their Telegram or Slack or Discord - good team will always find time to answer your questions and will monitor chats

As long as you have your private keys and don't try to login to MEW from fishing websites - everything is fine, don't worry

Never experienced such things, but I guess you should do deep research before participating in bounty. Also if you meet bounty manager that you like - stick to him!

Re: MEW GWEI

Hi Guys

How can I set the GWEI price in MEW higher than 99?

And then Ive got an other question: When I participate in a ICO where it starts for example at 12.00. It is very popular and I need to be fast with a high gas price. Is it possible to start the transaction before 12.00 - lets say at 11.55 and the ethers will arrive at 12.01. Will it be successfu or rejected?

Thanks guys!

I heard that you can send ETH before the start (30-40 seconds before) with 30-40 gwei and be just in time so you will be among the first contributors
