Hi @ocminer, excuse me, I have a question about profitability.

If we check how much btc/eth we can earn per day in the following mining calculator sites, they are showing we should get a lot more btc/day than what its shown in the pool panel.
https://www.coinwarz.com
http://whattomine.com

Are the above links calculating it wrong? why so much difference? Thanks.

In example:
- EthHash: 70Mhs
- Power Watts: 1600
- Cost per Kw: 0.1640
- Profitability: $7.44 -- (0.00545187 BTC/day)

In the pool with the same options, the panel shows:
- BTC/day: 0.0007

Hi, I have noticed in Coinchoose and CoinWarz difficulty for scrypt coins has been increased a lot in just a few days (from 30 days to generate a bitcoin to 45 days with about 3000Khs). Is there any reason for it like scrypt ASICs already minning or just normal difficulty increase over time? whats going on?

Thank you for the information.

I think one of your first priorities right now should be to improve communitation and show that you are not scamming people.
From my point of view answering the following questions would really help, among a lot more questions which people has asked here before:

1. Updated Proof of work of the asic scrypts. Photos, videos, real working scrypts in pools, true tests which people can easily verify.
2. Photos and videos of the company, photos of all employeers, more detailed personal information of employers and other companies involved in the project. If you look at Space X company, they (Elong Musk) have a really nice way of communicating with people with a lot of interviews and videos online.
3. Adding a forum in your site will help to ask a lot of questions.

Some questions regarding the ASIC scrypts:
1. Since they will be connected to your Alpha Server, will they allow to solo minning?
2. Would we able to update the software (rom, firmware) inside those scrypt ASICs to make it compatible and mine coins with new modified versions of scrypt algorithm?
3. It will be really nice if we could remotely test our ASICs before they are sent. Even if you test them in your own enviroment, it will be a really good way of saving a lot of time and money for us and for you if some problem is spotted before the final send.

Someone please explain this to me:

I have a balance of .033 and an unexchanged of .027. Yet a person with the same exact hashrate as me has the same balance, but .11 unexchanged. That doesn't make any sense. How is this person making .074 more than I am if we have the same hashrate? Even my 3 hour average is higher than theirs. They also got paid a lot more than I did yesterday and the day before.

http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1MkcvHv2X96NyATw99sro726ueSFG8CPVU.html

Compared to:
http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1JxWmGfPuRv7CeLqLA3M4WQ7ygJGH5vL88.html

They started the day with way more unexchanged than you it looks like (something like 0.09). So it looks like the gain for today is similar, no?

Correct, they started the day with a high unexchanged balance, but if you look at the personal charts, we each have the same hashrate over the past few days, why was their unexchangex so much more than mine? Or anyone else in that hashrate range? Before I knew that each server was doing something different, but h2o stated that all servers are doing the same thing now. (Even before US server was more profitable and I was and always have been on US server). Also, their unexchanged is much higher, but so have their daily payouts.

Having the same hashrate for you both over time is difficult, there are a lot of minor variations and it could depend on your miner version and program. There could be some other factors such as price the coins were sold at.

Yes same experience for me in the lastest days, bad hashrate in US server, and bad profit in EU server minning something with very high difficulty (low profit).

ahhh, sorry for my ignorance since I thought this was clear.

As you can see from block explorer we are now at block 13016 (* 5,000) = 65,080,000 Xivra.

It is up to an exchange to list Xivra or not. But as I stated earlier; personally I think that Xivra is not ready yet.

I do think that Xivra is ready in the first week of January.

I understand that many of the current miners want to have it listed as soon as possible to get a nice profit for their early adoption and hashing power. I also know there are many 'altcoins' made just for the purpose to make it quick to exchange no matter what state the code is in and cash in.

My view is to make the code as good as possible 1st, have a decent website and then promote Xivra. As for cashing in, with no pre-mine and only 300-400 KH/s as my own mining power there is nothing personal to cash in for me.

Thats a really nice answer and good start for a coin, you have my support. Better to test it more and to improve the code than to begin making a quick profit as one of the other existent 300 coins.

I have already set my address in the pool and set to send it each 20 coins.
In the cipherpool pool I see I have about 1100 unconfirmed XIV coins from 3 days ago, is it normal?
http://xiv.cipherpool.com/index.php?page=dashboard

1. How does it usually take to send it to my wallet?
2. why it is spending so much time to send it to my wallet?
3. Searching for an Android scrypt minning tool with stratum support but couldnt find anything.

Some tests, currently using this configuration if someone wants to try Smiley

Is a good news in some way, since there will be less high profile buyers which speculate and sell millions in seconds devaluating the money.

What is going to happen is that this week the price will be low, and at the end it will slowly grow again, since bitcoin has been made for us, not for banks.

Important questions to buy and sell bitcoins online in recommended places
by
blopblop
on 17/11/2013, 23:02:06 UTC
Hello, Im just an starter in the bitcoin world and have some important questions about buying and selling bitcoins online (if possible in Euros).
For anyone reading this topic and with low knowlegde about how bitcoin works, please read: http://backintyme.com/btc01.php

Already read the following thread about some of the known places with better security which are recommended for buying and selling bitcoin:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333459.0

Also read some important steps to improve security:
Insanely long and difficult password, double authentication, operating with a scrow, encryption, live linux iso and 2 computers with Armory... could be a must have.

Some recommend sites, as seen in other threads:
- btc-e, bitstamp, campbx: are commercial exchanges
- localbitcoins: a place which matches up individual buyers and sellers
- coinbase: is a middleman service between users and a commercial exchange

Ways of sending fiat from one person to another:
- Bank Transfer, Wire Transfer, Venmo, Dwolla.

QUESTIONS:

Buying bitcoins:
1. How much time aproximately should it take to buy 2-8.. bitcoins in an online site? does the number of bitcoins bought matter?

2. The bitcoins bought through the online site, are they "sent" to their online public key of the site (and later the bitcoins are associated internally by the site to my account), or are the bitcoins bought directly "sent" to my public key?

3. If they are sent to the site public key and later associated with my account, how can I tell the site to send them to my public key instead? I dont want anything to be online in the site.

Selling bitcoins:
4. How much time could it take to sell a packet of bitcoins, about 2-8..?

5. Is there a maximum restriction in the number of bitcoins to be sold in a site daily, weekly or monthly?

Getting the money (in euros)
6. Once the bitcoins are finally sold in a site, and the transaction has ended successfully, where does the money go, to my linked bank account or does it stay in the web site until I give the order to get all the money out of it?

7. do I need to link my bank account with the web site in order to receive all the money?

8. How much time could it take to get all the money into my bank?

9. What is the maximum money I can retrieve from my web site account each day, week, month..?

Recommended sites:
10. From your overall experience, and probably a hard question, what sites would you recommend with high security, trusted by users with good support and features without many selling restrictions, which lets me sell a lot of bitcoins and get the money back from the site very fast.

Not recommended sites:
From what I have already read some of the following sites are having problems with cash or needs better security:
mtgox (said to paid after many months in some cases).

Recommendations
11. I would be really pleased if someone could give some advises or tips for operating with online sites.
I usually check the price and flow of bitcoin market at bitcoincharts.com

Finally thank you so much if you have time to answer any of the questions above. They will help me and all the community to understand the best ways to operate with bitcoins.

dudas de novato
by
blopblop
on 17/06/2011, 11:47:57 UTC

Gracias Smiley
