Re: What is the reason for bearish of BTC

I want know the exact reason for that

You might get few reasons for that because just one fact cannot make a huge impact on a major cryptocurrency like bitcoin to crash in this rate but if collection of issues can make that to happen and i think that is what was happen and among them market fear made a huge impact because what ever the reason bitcoin was rejected from the out side world it prices crashed due to its holders and users and because of fear they are abandoning the market and that is why market price is going down

Re: What are some of the best sources of information on Bitcoin?

Working on a school project and I'd like some great resources to help me with it. Important information I'm looking for is the 'advantages and disadvantages of Bitcoin'. I would prefer credible resources which I can cite in the project, books are great if you know any.

If you are going to find any significant information regarding bitcoin then according to my opinion books are not the best source and I think the best way to find such information is through this bitcoin forum itself because still bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are new to the world there are no considerable amount of books and articles out there to give you proper information but if you can ask from a legendary or a senior member they might give you much better information than any other book out there because they were with the bitcoin journey for a long time

Re: Bitcoin banned in Sri Lanka
by
bluehive21
on 14/09/2018, 15:17:10 UTC
its not a ban

its a memo,
a mmo that say that the central bank of sri lanka will not be held accountable for any actions done by businesses and that the central bank does not insure or licence it.

.. the central bank doe not endors or licence baked beans.. thats why you dont see a bank slling baked beans.
until there is a GOVERNMENT LAW. that states it is illegal to operate a crypto business. and that law mentions the penalty.. then just treat the memo as what it is .. a memo

nearly every country has released an investor warning memo that investing in crypto is risky and a bank will not insure losses

It is looks like an memo and I agree because if the government really wanted to ban crypto using in locally they could have taken more action than giving a warning though the central bank to the general public and still no crypto related site or exchange has banned from our side so that means they have no intention to do that yet but no one knows what kind of decision they might take in the future so we have to prepare for everything

Re: Is Bitcoin the Biggest Bubble in Human History?
by

on 13/09/2018, 05:41:57 UTC
I don't think, just too many people want to profit from the bitcoin, led to excessive bitcoi prices, but the bitcoi in the future could become international currency, so I think the bitcoi is not a bubble,

I agree because in the past the bitcoin demand was much higher so most individuals ambition was to buy more and more bitcoin so with the increase of high demand bitcoin price increased to the highest level but like in many things in the financial world anything goes up will be down some day and bitcoin did the same way but the situation is not permanent so it cannot be considered as a bubble and I think bitcoin is going through a significant time period these days to become a reputed currency in the future

Re: What if Government bans Bitcoins?

How can governments ban bitcoin when it is a decentralized network and even they make some technological restrictions locally to its people I don't think it will be considered as a bitcoin ban because still desired individuals will find ways to do transactions with bitcoin because the technology is very advances and internet is widely expanded in the world anything is possible with necessary tools so bitcoin ban is useless

Re: The world is going digital

Instead of worrying about the death of digital currencies, we should rather be rejoicing that we are part of this life changing concept. Anyone who thinks our bitcoin will die should leave it for us

Yeah people who doesn't believe in bitcoin is one of the main reason bitcoin prices to be lagged behind because instead of staying calm they get panic and spreading false rumors and uncertainty to other people so even investors who are confidence about bitcoin get second thoughts which is a really bad situation because media, social communities and other places are very open to these kind of feedback's from negative thinking individuals about bitcoin

Re: Bitcoin is now consuming 1% of the world's electricity. Is that sustainable?
by
bluehive21
on 11/09/2018, 10:06:58 UTC
One year ago Bitcoin's network was consuming as much energy as Ireland. Now it has apparently doubled and now it is consuming 1% of the world's total electricity consumption.

https://digiconomist.net/bitcoin-energy-consumption

This, in a time when the world is trying to reduce carbon footprints to avoid or slow down global warming.
Is Bitcoin sustainable as it is?
I don't think so - in fact I'm sure it is not. There is a limit to insanity.
More data here:

https://digiconomist.net/bitcoin-energy-consumption

What is likely to happen next? Which are your thoughts?

This is a topic that should have discussed previously but I am glad we are doing it right now because the main idea to implement Bitcoin in the world is to provide a efficient and effective transactional method with better security and less interrupt but even it has achieved today the concept of sustainability and to reduce of energy consumption was some what abundant until this year I saw many projects regarding sustainable and power saving Bitcoin mining methods so the above is true but it doesn't mean that BItcoin should not be used because the bad effect can be reduced using today technology

Many experts like panic sellers in the market and some even do tricks to tackle by manipulating the market and most of the times less experience people get caught but due to panic selling they always loose there profits during an investment and they end up being frustrated and accuse the market and the cryptocurrencies so they never learn the lesson to wait and do research and analyze the market before selling and buying

Re: Why Bitcoin isn't a legit currency.
by
bluehive21
on 11/09/2018, 09:50:56 UTC
In simple terms until it gets a centralized state it will not be given importance as a legal currency. In my thinking it will get the legal status with some sort of limitations depending upon the government. It is legit, as everything happens through internet scamming is easier and this makes people term it as not a legit one.

Of course and becoming a legit currency means Bitcoin will definitely have to go through some sort of regulations and limitations because the people who makes such regulations main idea is to control Bitcoin as much as possible so if that happens there will be no difference between Bitcoin and other fiat currencies in the world unless fiat currencies are considered as paper currencies and Bitcoin is in digital form

Re: Is it my impression or media is biased towards bad news ?

Do you think the media is trying to destroy Bitcoin and cryptocurrency ? I think they show 95% of the times only bad news. Why is this happening ?

We both can agree with that because many newbies do panic selling for no reason even for a small rumor or a news without doing a research regarding a fact and media knows that too which is an advantage to crash cryptocurrency market easily by broadcasting false information and that is what happening right now at the moment in many scenarios and many doesn't invest much today due to such false information given troughs media

Re: Newbies panic & Old timers smile, when the Bitcoin price take a dip.
by
bluehive21
on 08/09/2018, 03:08:40 UTC
Many new people on this forum are so focused on ranking up on this forum, with the visions of making tons of money from Bounty and Signature campaigns, but when it counts the most, they tend to drop the ball and they lose out on the biggest profits.

My advice to the newbies out there is to forget about Signature campaigns and Bounty campaigns and to concentrate on the things that will help you to make the biggest profits. You should acquire as much cheap bitcoins as you can, during a dip, because you will never know if that price will be the lowest price that Bitcoin would be sold for in many years.

In early 2017, the Bitcoin price was around $1000 and everyone was saying it was over valued, well they were wrong and most of the old timers just kept on buying more coins. The end result... The Bitcoin price went up to $19,000+ and we made huge profits.

So, please shift your focus on the Dip to something more positive. A dip in the price should be welcomed, because it gives newbies and old timers a opportunity to buy more cheap coins.  Cool

Buy the Dip and Sell on the Spike for the highest return on your investment. No Signature campaign or Bounty campaign can beat a 800%+ increase in the price.  Wink

Many newbies do panic selling for no reason without doing a research regarding a fact and many doesn't invest much today due to huge price drop that had in the Bitcoin market in past several months so most investors believed Bitcoin price will further decrease and it will disappear forever and even the people who had little faith in Bitcoin invested little amount of money they are willing to loose more like in a gambling game without confidence whether they will gain profit or not but they were wrong because now Bitcoin is rising

Re: Can't we accept bitcoin is going through developmental stages
by
bluehive21
on 08/09/2018, 03:05:30 UTC
A lot of noise and FUD news was been said about the price movements of bitcoin lately. We are expecting bitcoin price to move up faster without considering the facts that the process of cryptocurrencies revolution comes in stages. Even the fiat currencies also pass through some stages before it become stabilized.

In every sphere of life, there is always a revolution and developmental stages which I believe is also affecting bitcoin too. Let have believe that this process will stabilize bitcoin in the long run and be more acceptable.

We can definitely agree on that because after the Bitcoin crash many changes were happen in the world of Bitcoin and one of that is Bitcoin got more involved in business transactions and processes in the world in a considerable percentage and even existing holders sold many Bitcoin they were holding for a lower price new investors came into the investing market to buy Bitcoin for a low price so with that it got more users than we had before in the world and due to above reasons and many other we can see its price is increasing in a stable rate at the moment

Bitcoin is the first decentralized asset and also the first digital currency that has allowed anyone to do things that other major fiat currencies could never even imagine with the help of Blockchain technology and that is why Bitcoin will be much popular in the future because it possess better qualities and features than any non digital currency in the world and that is why many predict that Bitoin will be the next and first digital token to use as an international currency

Most experts guarantee that Bitcoins price will be much valuable in the future than today and it could give a great competition to most major fiat currencies and I do believe that but my only concern is like many asses in the world due to Bitcoins higher price most of the owners could be rich people than middle cast or poor citizens because even now more tokens are bought by billionaires and millionaires and what many normal people do is sell there currencies for the current price to cover day to day expenditure so even Bitcoin will have a great future most of its owners will be from the higher class

Re: The world is going digital

Its very interesting whenever I see posts like 'bitcoin is dead' or someone asking 'is bitcoin going to die?'. I ask myself, are these people really current at all. Everything we are doing in this modern world is gradually becoming digitized. We are gradually moving from the pen and paper world. The blockchain technology is full of new ideas and projects which is gradually turning the world to a more convenient place to live. Please the fact that you invested in some shit coin and it died doesn't mean the whole crypto community is dying. Trust me, if every coin will then not bitcoin. Digital currency is the new world, very soon the whole world will accept and adopt this great concept

World started to digitize from many years ago and that is why digital technology has become demanding today in many areas in entertainment  and financial sectors so as a digital currency Bitcoin will be much popular in the future because it possess better qualities and features than any non digital currency in the world and that is why many predict that Bitoin will be the next and first digital token to use as a international currency

Re: BITCOIN won't die, period.

As you can see that BTC is the largest crypto among all in the market, I just really do not understand why people like to claim that BTC is about to die, do not easily fall for these kinds of topics and think that Bitcoin is dying, put some research on it, its just another person's opinion but again it is misleading. One last thing before you reply, this is extremely important and might be a big help for you (especially for newbies) avoid agreeing with such wrong info given to you, be sure to take extra care in replying, and the most important part of all is that you should make some research and do not forget to read the thread (if necessary) it is also important as you can gain new information from other people, though just make sure that what you are reading is very much legitimate.

Thank you and feel free to respond, I wanna see your insights about this.

If anyone say Bitcoin will end or die it is due to lack of knowledge or understanding what is going on in the current market of cryptocurrencies and what kind of demand that Bitcoin is getting from the business world. Definitely Bitcoin will be fine so my advice is be more patient and prepare to hold several years to gain profit and definitely you will get a good income . Most bitcoin holders are frustrated because during its highest price many thought bitcoin will increase more and many investors spend money and bought as much as they can but the price crashed in a high rate destroying there dreams instantly and even during the lowest price people bought bitcoin predicting it will rise but it is increasing in a slower rate but it is getting stronger any way and it need more time so holders should practice more patience than ever until they make profit

I think it is a temporary situation because for anything new to the world during first implementations there are certain level of rejections that can happen and for Bitcoin it is the same scenario but after some time people will understand more about Bitcoins potential and benefits so those accusations might stop with time eventually even without an effort but if that wont happen then there will be a problem for Bitcoin

Re: My sweet and bitter experience about bitcoin
by
bluehive21
on 01/09/2018, 00:20:18 UTC
I started my cryptocurrency journey around July 2017. I bought some altcoins;  verge; dodge, Xrp Siacoin on Bittrex and left some on bitcoin. It was a roller coaster for me around November to December 2017, particularly with verge, my crypo investment of just about $120 grew to a little bit over $3,000. I never new on time until I opened my bittrex. It was wao!

I took out some money since I was in need about $1000. With the euphoria of bitcoin suppasing $20,000, so I watched until my investment shrinked from about $2000 to $1500, then $1000, I decided to take out some little more until I had about $800 left.

That amount have shrinked further to about $450. The worst came when I took a third of the amount to buy Mithril coin when the news came that it won a vote to be listed on binance,  and suddenly it was disqualified,  and the price have falling like packs of cards, more than 50% right now.

Its a question of if I had known, I would have withdrawn the $3000 the moment I saw it on my bittrex account. Who can tell the future?

But I am wiser now.

Does anyone have similar experience

Many  faced the same scenario in last time during the Bitcoin price fall and those losses were huge for any kind of investor but now the price is recovering again but only the time will tell what kind of path it might take in the future and no one can predict exactly what will happened due to uncertain market but if this price increase continue Bitcoin would be much stronger than last time

Re: Idea: How to increase bitcoin demand
by
bluehive21
on 31/08/2018, 13:53:37 UTC

Contact e-commerce websites like Amazon, and request that you want to pay with Bitcoin, Ether or any other coin you like.

It can be done by using site's feedback or contact us forms.

This way we can create demand because good e-commerce sites care about their users. And they know that the more payment methods you have the higher the conversion rate (the % of people who buy something) because some users can use only 1 method of payment. For example, some americans can only pay with Paypal while some venezuelans can only pay with Bitcoin, etc. So, if the site supports more payment methods it will convert more orders on average.

To increase the demand for implementing cryptocurrency payments in e-commerce sites we just have to request that using the contact us or feedback forms. The more people give feedback to their favorite online retailers the more people will start using bitcoin as payment method (now that we have segwit).

The more people do this the more demand for Bitcoin there will be.

Thanks to those who do that.

Best way to make Bitcoin demanding in the world is use it in business transactions and other essential transactions often in order to make it useful, practical and demanding in the real world but it doesn't happen and in the crypto community we see more holders than crypto users and it is becoming common. So when an ICO project is introducing investors calculate the possible income they can get after the currency rise than its usability or helpfulness for a particular industry. So the current trend should be change to make Bitcoin more demanding
