[WTS] - New in box Asus R9 290 gpus
by

on 20/03/2014, 14:34:00 UTC
Leftover from my rig farm (ran out of power available) are 4 brand new Asus R9 290 gpus. These are one of the top brands for mining and the reference cooler design that's highly sought after.

Asking for $600 per card, accepted in BTC/LTC/Doge. (prefer Doge) Free shipping to the US.

Let me fix that for you , "people are still attached to it". You want to acknowledge or not , the momentum from the meme is dying.

You've posted quite a lot as of recent. Very bleh posts here. Take a look at general discussion if you feel more well rounded with your cryptos.

Considering your slogan "allergic to FUD and idiots", you seem to contradict that quite highly.

Re: Selling brand new in box Asus r9 290(s)

I forgot to check back and update. And the 1.5BTC quote was when BTC was at around 410 in price, hell I figured it was going to drop even more.

Anyway I'm ideally looking to get $550 per card, at the current crypto USD exchange rate. Along with free shipping.

So 900$ for a 550$ card?

I'll take all of them.

Given current profitability, it would take 80+ days to pay for each card (at newegg price, not your inflated price.)   I would hardly call that "easily pay for themselves"

No not $900. No it won't take 80+ days. And further that card is not the reference version that is far superior.

Extra from my mining farm. Planned to expand into another mini farm yet getting power to it has now become an issue. These will easily pay for themselves and the added convenience of paying directly in crypto! 800kh+ per card. Will gladly give my settings.

[Also considering selling the cards within the rigs, built but never used. (1200w gold psu, 3 powered risers to r9 290s, etc etc) for the right price]

The price per card is $550 each, at the current BTC/USD rate. Free shipping to the US. These do not pop up often!

1$ - who made this stereotype?Huh
why not 10$ or 100$ - and why are you comparing to bitcoin - something like- if bitcoin is worth 8-10 billion $ then dogecoin cannot be worth more than 1$.  This is my opinion - 1$ - is not the limit. Doge is a new updated model of e-coins out there.

What Doge did in 1 month - Bitcoin did in 1 year- take that in calculation.
So fellow shibe- you dont have to wait till 86 years to see doge cost a dollar $ ))))

??

At $1 Doge has a market cap of $100,000,000,000. 10x Bitcoins current value and 1388x our current value. At $1/$100 billion, Doge would be at the point where it is offered for use anywhere/everywhere in the whole world. At $10-100 Doge would eclipse the majority of the world's currency.

Unless I'm missing something?

If anyone wants to know what wolong has planned for DOGE follow him on his twitter https://twitter.com/GameOfDeception

its good to stay in touch with his plans  Grin

His only plan is to make money by pumping/dumping. Just as he did with Doge, when he is done pumping it up, he will DUMP. He will not announce when the massive dump will occur, it wouldn't be beneficial to him if he did. Then he will move on to the next coin. He NEEDs the community to help him pump. The only difference is Doge had a lasting effect as the community was already strong.

Just be careful when following him. Lots of money to be lost with the risk involved.

Wow, completely false. That graph is a representation of what happens many many times over the course of a stock. That entire chart is applicable to what we have seen as of recent. We are currently "returning to normal" before a large crash, which will level out and return us greater than before.

Obviously it may not be completely true, and many here do not want to hear it, yet statistically this is what will happen.

Any popular others that accept wires or bank account purchases? I'm in the US.
Bitstamp, CampBX, Vault of Satoshi, QuadrigaCX, Bitfinex are companies which have been able to process my US wires very quickly and efficiently with minimum hassle.

Thank you.

I'd always go for cash in person - wouldn't trust any exchange with large amounts of cash. Smiley

For large amounts what type of individual person would do such a deal with such large numbers?

I'm definitely interested in Coinbase, yet they have a full 30 day wait period before large purchases.

(mt.gox no thanks, and btc-e doesn't accept US wires)

What do you get with:

Code:
aticonfig --adapter=all --lsa

I tried
Quote
sudo aticonfig --adapter=all --initial -f

not sure the differences using initial and f but that did the trick, so basically what you posted.

Unfortunately now... I get GPU 1 failure within 2 secs of connecting to a pool.

Error -5: enqueueing kernel onto command queue
then gpu failure and disabling

Unable to detect second GPU in Ubuntu.... tried a dummy plug

Not sure whats going on.... 1 card works fine, yet the second I add another 7950 I get this readout from CGminer:

[2013-05-17 16:46:01] ADL found less devices than opencl!
[2013-05-17 16:46:01] There is possibly more than one display attached to a GPU
[2013-05-17 16:46:01] Use the gpu map feature to reliably map OpenCL to ADL
[2013-05-17 16:46:01] WARNING: Number of OpenCL and ADL devices did not match!
[2013-05-17 16:46:01] Hardware monitoring may NOT match up with devices!

and can't get any temp/speed monitoring. I've tried this dummy plug guide here http://blog.zorinaq.com/?e=11 yet still have no luck.... frustrating.

Any ideas?

I have export display=:0, gpu_max_alloc_percent =100, and gpu_sync_objects =1 before my cgminer input.

UEFI/EFI always pops up....
by

I am currently running Xubuntu off a USB drive. Unfortunately every single time I restart it boots into EFI. Very annoying. Thus I must F11 and select my USB drive, and all is well.

So now if I disable UEFI startup in the bios, and F11, the USB drive isn't even there to boot from.... any thoughts?

Opened up GPUz. I get Asic qualities of 60% and 67%. One major oddity is that one of the cards reports 1050/1450 while as the other reports 1100/1500. I have them set in AMD Overdrive, I thought it applied to both cards..

Perhaps I will set it through CGminer, will that override overdrive's settings?

edit:: set CGminer to control GPU clock speeds. All is now well. Thank you all.

one of your card is busy rendering the desktop.

try linux ^^ ?

I have no monitors plugged in except for a tiny 7" usb monitor.... so don't think that's it?

I will try xubuntu tomorrow.

Anything else anyone can think of? Perhaps my settings are all weird? This is so strange.

2x 7950. Sapphire 4Ls. Installed the latest CGminer and enabled amd overdrive.

1100/1500 clock set, +20 powertune

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http:xxxx -u username -p password --worksize 256 --thread-concurrency 24000 --vectors 1 --shaders 1792 --intensity 20 -g 1 --lookup-gap 2

I'm getting 515k/hash - 57c and 603k/hash - 75c.

Shocked Shocked They're the same card.... 1 other had mentioned it's just slightly defective and will largely show at max usage... ugh.

Mining LTC on 4x 7950 100352-4Ls, ideal parameters??
by
bobbobobbo
on 26/04/2013, 04:23:26 UTC
Can anyone help me with a noob question? I know my setup is common so maybe someone can chime in with their ideal parameters..

I have 3x Sapphire 7950s 100352-4l, mining litecoin.

I have powertune set to +20. I'm looking for the OC clock speeds as well as the full CGminer input.

I've been entering and testing a ton. I can't seem to get it dialed in right..

Re: Best 7950 card right now??

on 26/04/2013, 03:43:41 UTC
Very good info everyone, thank you so much!

+2. Running 3 of them at 1ghz core at 1000mv vcore. They are loud like any reference design squirrel fan, but they run cool. Also, not voltage locked unlike the latest batches of the Gigabyte 3 fan card. XFX card is absolute crap. Belongs in a "Worst 7950 card right now" thread. I can not speak to the PowerColor.

I as well have 3 4Ls currently, yet I'm still having a bit of trouble getting them dialed in..
I have powertune to +20 and clocks to 1000/1250. (cant tell if that's best...)

My CGMiner is the main thing giving me trouble.... anyone care to copy/paste an ideal input??
