Is the block explorer https://digiexplorer.info/ having problems?

Lots of strange errors like these for addresses which definitely have transactions and balances:
Total Received
0 DGB
Total Sent
0 DGB
Final Balance
0 DGB
No. Transactions
0
There are no transactions involving this address.

Some transactions have invalid inputs:
value error
Unparsed address
value error
Unparsed address [1]

Strange invalid addresses on coin generation transactions:
No Inputs (Newly Generated Coins)

Will transactions from a core 4.0.3 wallet still be accepted in the blockchain?

I sent several transactions 25 minutes ago and they still have not been confirmed.
Please upgrade to v6.14.2. You probably have no peers. Over 97% of network has upgraded. Update includes 100's of changes to boost speed and efficiency.

https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/releases/tag/v6.14.2
My wallet says that I have 8 connections to the network...

I thought this wasn't a mandatory wallet upgrade.

Has the code been changed to not allow connections or transactions from 4.0.3 wallets?

Transactions from 4.0.3 wallet still not confirmed. I thought the segwit wallet was a soft fork, not a manadatory upgrade.

Will transactions from a 4.0.3 wallet ever be confirmed?

So it appears segwit is enabled now?

I admit that I have not read up on this.

I just sent some DGB from 4.0.3 wallet to 4.0.3 wallet and the transactions took 15 minutes to be confirmed, where it normally happens within 1-2 blocks.

Is this working as intended?

I didn't think there was a mandatory wallet update required.

60 million dgb are worth nothing compared to the same quantity of apple shares and this is unfair. Think of this as an investment opportunity of ur life.

And therein lies the problem with any cryptocurrency other than BTC. Most people treat it as a speculative investment instead of a currency.

People need to think of it as money, use it to buy/sell items in the mainstream.

As long as people think of it as anything other than money in their pocket to spend on stuff, there will be no progress.

We would love to get some updated mining feedback from people. What is working and what is not. As mentioned by Jumbley DigiByte has 5 separate mining algorithms.  Each other counts fo 20% of new blocks mined. Sha256 and Script are mined by Asics.

We would like to get feedback as to the success people are having on Skein, Groestle and Qubit.

Last week was a great week for DigiByte! We have met with a lot of major institutions. This process is a slow one as a lot of talking to the involves educating them.  The gist is we are positioning the benefits of DigByte as a public chain to them. Everyone wants a private centralised system, but the reality is only a public decentralised chain provides the security that "blockchain" has become synonymous for.

I would like to invite everyone to post any questions they may have here and I will answer them over the next few days. Thanks again everyone for being such an awesome community!  DigiByte on!

-  Jared
With my GPUs, I have been staying with the qubit algo, it seems to be the best for power consumption. I have also mined skein & groestl with GPU, but mostly I stay with qubit, and very rarely I'll go back to skein for awhile if I want a change. I keep all my mined DGB from qubit/skein/groestl in my wallet.

I have two small scrypt asics, I used to mine DGB with them, but for the past several months I have them running on a multipool (DGB is one of the coins it switches to from time to time). I seem to get better results this way  I take the coins I mine on multipool and sell them on bittrex/poloniex and use that to buy DGB.

I use the CPU on my linux box to mine DGB-qubit. I know that it's not really a good idea because it uses around 30-40 watts I think. (I'd have to check my kill-a-watt meter). But I do it because it's a fun project and I don't care that much about the power usage.

I've never mined sha256. Sometimes I wish I had a small sha256 asic.

Is this the appropriate thread to post troubleshooting questions. I have been mining scrypt for 3+ days at an average rate of 40 Kh/s , using pooler cpuminer and have not received a payout since May 31 on this address: D6xm6nmAH6wA8mNx7niJvTw5J32PfD2To3

Any insightful comments and/or directing me to an appropriate thread/person would be great! Cheers

You are CPU mining scrypt algo? 40khash/s ?

Not really a good idea. You might make an average of about 100 DGB per month, if you are lucky. Of course if you aren't paying for the electricity and you don't care that your PC will be running slow, then I guess it doesn't matter.

Depending on the pool you are mining at, you probably won't get any payout for months based on the threshold for payouts. (I think the official DGB pool is something like 300 or 500 before a payout will happen).

Hi guys,

A friend have actually a really strange problem with his desktop DGB wallet : he's limited by a max amount of DGB to sent. Moreover, his fees are huge compared of mine.

Eg : Yesterday, I have transfered 336 000 DGB for a total fees of 42 DGB. My friend need to pay 96 DGB for a transfer of 38 000 DGB only. Have I missed something? Is there a rule that increase the fees to be paid the more you make transaction? This doesn't sound logic at all, and I've never read anything related to this.

We are both on the 4.0.3 wallet, 64 bits... on Windows.

The transaction fee to send is based on the number of input transactions (actually it's based on the size (in kb) of the transaction, but more inputs = larger size, so it's easier to just say number of transactions).

If you have 10000 DGB and received them 5 at a time (2000 inputs), you would have a higher transaction fee to send them than someone who received 10000 DGB all at once (1 input).

The transaction fee that you can set in your wallet is added to the automatic transaction fee based on inputs. Setting it to 0 will not remove transaction fees.

If you are using the core wallet, you can enable coin control and see the inputs and transactionfee when you try to send. You can also choose which input transactions to use when you send. For the lowest fee, you would always want to choose your largest value inputs.

right now i craping on myself ............i sent 5 million bdg to the android wallet but didnt show up...what the fuck is going on here...is this legit

To check into this, you need to provide the following.

The address you sent from.

The address you sent to.

The transaction ID from the wallet where you performed the send.

With this information we can search for it on the blockchain.

Until you provide this information to investigate, nobody is going to take you seriously if all you do is post huge pictures and say things in large red font.

Hi there,

I made 2 transactions whilst my wallet was out of sync.

As a result it hasnt appeared on the blockchain with the correct txid.

It also hasnt arrived at the designated address even though it has around 1500 confirmations.

Have I lost my coins?

The exchange site isn't being very helpful about it.

(taken from wallet 01/01/16)

Status: 1064 confirmations
Date: 19/12/2015 23:03
To: DDR2pXgfpcbV3BFuANkqoggGmVaCMzmDsS
Debit: -29395.72 DGB
Transaction fee: -0.94 DGB
Net amount: -29396.66 DGB
Transaction ID: 630312b20361cb09e515e1f47a888f7247041129795fc5c843591bd217fc6023-000

Status: 1064 confirmations
Date: 19/12/2015 23:02
To: DDR2pXgfpcbV3BFuANkqoggGmVaCMzmDsS
Debit: -100000.00 DGB
Transaction fee: -1.28 DGB
Net amount: -100001.28 DGB
Transaction ID: 94901ada3f8cba531d1f8ba8f6c11b4c8ee4ddb823d30c50ae27f969321a8efc-000

These aren't valid transactions.  They cannot be found using the digibyte block explorer. (Yes, I searched for them without the -000 on the end)

The coins should still be available in your wallet.

You can search the blockchain for the address DDR2pXgfpcbV3BFuANkqoggGmVaCMzmDsS and see that it only has 13k DGB in it and the last transaction is from Nov 11.

Make sure you aren't using an old version of the wallet. Check your version and make sure it's at least 4.0.3.

If it's not at least 4.0.3, then save your wallet.dat file and install/upgrade the new version of the wallet.

miners-pool.eu is finding nothing but orphans on qubit, nobody is mining skein or groestl on there.
Most of blocks found are rejected by the network later... I used 3 different wallets location, all of them on a powerful server with good Internet connection. Now this coin is too fast. Only the most powerful pool can find blocks. Jared I'm not sure than reducing the block target to 15s was a good idea.
That sucks. I like your pool alot and have been mining at it for a long time.

I tried skein too but couldn't even connect. I hope this gets straightened out soon so I can point my miner there again.

Anyone else have this problem with the Chrome wallet - you send from the wallet, then suddenly the blockchain explorer is offline, almost like using the chrome wallet crashes the website http://digiexplorer.info/?

It seems to happen about every other time I send from my chrome wallet.

REMINDER

Hardfork is getting close!

Only 50% of peers on our 3 wallets are in version 4.0.0.0 Sad
I'm waiting until the last minute so I can still consolidate my wallet without paying mandatory transaction fees.
