With Bitcoin Core 0.10 and other modern wallets, transaction fees can get as low as 3 bits, making it affordable to play even a very small number of combos.

The units have been converted in "bits". There are no changes in the game, it's only a different way to display numbers.

1 bit = 0.000001 BTC = 10 Satoshi.

You can play one combo with 10 bits. Prizes are on average between 500,00 and 35,000,000.00 bits.

Here is the new output:

Quote from: Bitcoin Galore

Prizes for the last round [ 3437 ]:
3 points: 568.97 bits for 1283 combos
4 points: 23898.8 bits for 28 combos
5 points: 1627499.6 bits for 0 combos
6 points: 34820806.57 bits for 0 combos

--- --- --- --- ---

The total prizes for the new round [ 3438 ] are:
3 points: 769999.86 bits
4 points: 705833.27 bits
5 points: 2204999.46 bits
6 points: 35334139.84 bits

--- --- --- --- ---

The average amount of the last 10 wins for each category is:
3 points: 674.35 bits (67 x)
4 points: 27989.46 bits (2798 x)
5 points: 1109744.89 bits (110974 x)
6 points: 35334139.84 bits (3533413 x)

--- --- --- --- ---

Total prizes paid this round: 1399154.91 bits
Total prizes paid ever: 135036596.15 bits

"Prizes for the last round" represent the total prizes of the round which is just finished, divided by the number of winning combos for each category.
"Total prizes for the new round" represent the total prizes for each category of the newly opened round.
"Average amount of the last 10 wins" is just an average of the value of the prize for a single winning combo, for each category.

Have fun! :-)

Is there anyone interested in a "testnet" version (for developing automatic betting systems and/or bots)?
If there is interest in this topic, in the next few days I will work on it.

I am wondering about some details, on how to improve the game understanding.

Do you think that using only "bits" instead of BTC, mBTC and uBTC would make all things simpler?

1 bit = 0.000001 bitcoin

so, playing a combo would cost 10 bits, and the typical prizes would be:

3 points 537.02 bits
4 points prize 23897.61 bits
5 points prize 1109744.89 bits
6 points prize 34334139.96 bits

Any input is appreciated!

Recent studies found out that purchasing lottery tickets in the right way (a consumption good, not an investment) can be a completely rational and correct decision. So while you are still throwing away money when buying a lottery ticket, you are throwing away more in strictly economic terms when you buy an expensive bottle of wine or a luxury car.

Thinking of how would you live your life if you win the high prizes can help you focus on thinking how to improve your life. Of course nobody should spend on lottery tickets money that they can't afford to lose. If you have a gambling problem, it's a terrible idea.

Quote from: Neil Irwin
"Fantasizing about what you would do if you suddenly encountered great wealth is fun, and it is more fun if there some chance, however minuscule, that it could happen. The price for a ticket is a relatively small one to pay for the enjoyment of thinking through how you might organize your life differently if you had the prize".

Time to head to install bitmessage and play!  Grin

Sorry for your loss... however like others already said, HEALTH IS MORE IMPORTANT. Money and bitcoins come and go, and they could easily come again in the future.

If you want, check out my game: it's running with no house edge for now (the only amounts that are kept from the bets are used to pay for the TX fee), you can bet dust (down to 0.00001 btc) and if you are lucky you can win over than 31 bitcoins (currently).

Today the biggest prize (6 points) reached 29 bitcoins!

A system made of 100.000 combos (100.000 chances to win) can be played with just 1 bitcoin!

There are also smaller prizes, easier to win (5 points, 4 points, 3 points).

Congratulations to the winner of the 5 number's combo, and to all the others!

I am receiving some feedback through bitmessage, but I see that there are very few posts here in this thread, is it because bitcointalk people are used to web interface? This game can't run on web for how is it designed...

Anyway I hope that people playing are having fun: today six months are passed since this game got out of beta version.

ahh i hate this type of number guss games this game is only for who is lucky person i always lost the game anwaya try your luck may be you won

You can play with a very tiny amount: this won't make you poor and at the same time gives you a small chance to win the biggest prize. Three points price have quite high chances to be won. Even just one chance over a million is infinite times more than 0.  Remember that the purpose of this game is mainly to have fun! Wish you good luck! Cheesy

With Bitcoin Galore you can play with even just 0.00001 BTC (which is 10 uBTC) for each combo. If you are lucky you win a prize.

Each prize is divided between all the winning combos, but on average:

If you guess 3 numbers you can win an average of 0.0005 BTC (500 uBTC), which is 50 times.
If you guess 4 numbers you can win an average of 0.01 BTC (10 mBTC), about 1000 times.
If you guess 5 numbers you can win an average of 2.5 BTC or around 250000 times.
If you guess 6 numbers you can win 26 BTC and more (the game is pretty new and nobody guessed 6 numbers yet).

You can play more combos to increase the chance to win. Playing 1000 combos is just 0.01 BTC (10 mBTC).

If you don't want to install bitmessage, you can register on http://www.bitmessage.ch/ and use your email. Once registered there, you can write an email to BM-2cXdbRBsBWXmdTqsN2s3jd28cpEunJX6Ek@bitmessage.ch (or BM-2cXdbRBsBWXmdTqsN2s3jd28cpEunJX6Ek@bitmailendavkbec.onion if you want to access through TOR). The only limit is that you can't subscribe to Bitcoin Galore address and receive automatic round reports.
