Hi everyone, this is my first post, I'm new to Crypto, just a couple of months, happy I found this thread! I think EarthCoin can be a great coin if we can change some of the negative opinions about it. For example when one searches EarthCoin in Google, one of the first few search results that come up is a CoinTelegraph article by Lyke Aru, titled "OneCoin leads top 3 scam coin list, S-Coin, EarthCoin Follow". The article cites this an opinion from Angelina Lazar with quotes from Nawaf Abdullah of a BitCoin exchange based in Ghana called eBitronics. They basically say it's a pump and dump scheme without a real website. But this eBitronics "exchange" does not even have a website, just a Twitter page! I think it's unfortunate that EarthCoin is getting this undeserved bad publicity. If I tell someone about EarthCoin, or anyone wants to lookup EarthCoin, they do a search, and this CoinTelegraph article that pops up on the first result page will just immediately scare people away from EarthCoin. I sent feedback to Google a couple of times with my opinion that the article misrepresents EarthCoin, but the article is still there showing up on the first few results. Maybe we can collectively sway CoinTelegraph's negative opinion of EarthCoin, I can't see how EartCoin can get any traction here with this article showing up as one of the first few search results. Thanks.

I was thinking more in line with the community contacting CoinTelegraph by Facebook with their opinions of the article, (if they disagree with it) or maybe contacting Google by feedback. I have done those already, I'm new to Crypto and not an author, so I don't foresee any sites publishing any Crypto article I write.
The team here at earthcoin.io have just sent cointelegraph an email expressing concern over this article. It is outdated, innacurate and defamatory toward the earhcoin community.
We urge all our users to also respond via email to editor@cointelegraph.com
and express concern that their article must be unpublished. It is tainting the generosity of all our efforts in bringing this project back to its glory.
We are trying our best here at earthcoin.io to spread the word that this is a community volunteer effort and we need all the support we can get.

Max number of EAC is capped at approx 13.5 billion.
After reading, I just found out that to build this EarthCoin project is not as easy as we imagine. But I think you guys have to do the innovation and additional promotion so it's easier to follow and the added information is also needed. For example, Try to explain who is the person or team that handles this big project. Maybe it is one of the most important information. Good luck for this great project
I dont think you realise the magnitude of users that are developing the network for this coin. The shear number of volunteers behind this smashes any other coin out there. Bitcoin was orphaned in the same way earthcoin was...the creators have long gone...but now the community has taken over...no "team" of any coin will be able to match what a community can do. And the chinese are helping us also, www.earthcoin.top I suggest you sit down before you click that link because you will be amazed at whats going on in Asia. - Master nodes are coming...

It can be a great coin again but it all starts with a flawless wallet,... and wallets are a major issue in the crypto industry,.. i lost over 350k in earthcoin because of corrupt wallets and exchanges
If you still have your old wallet.dat file you shouldnt have any issues getting your coin back. Corruption is an OS issue not a wallet issue. The blockchain will keep verifying your addresss transactions.

My antivirus has detected this malicious file, a virus or a Trojan: coinminer.bj in the wallet of earthcoin 1.5.2 (latest version). Is it a malicious Trojan? Or is it a normal wallet file? I eliminate it?. It is urgent!. Thank you.
Hi, This is just old code left over when the wallet was used to mine. It is not a virus and completely safe. Remember only download from the link on this forum or the earthcoin.io website. Version 1.5.3 will have the code removed so it does not trigger false virus warnings but 1.5.2 is perfectly fine just place an exception on your antivirus.

1) People have had success YES. Just don't send 500,000 EAC because everything may not be bug free on AEX's end.
2) Do NOT transfer using 1.3.4. Use the .dat backup from 1.3.4 to 1.5.2 wallet installation. Only use 1.5.2+ for transfers to exchanges.
3) OS no less than win 7. Using Win7 in VM in Virtualbox with 1.5.2 works 100%.

I have migrated the host to a new server with the advantage of secure certificates (https) thanks to the generous github project platform. We have SVG graphics for anyone in need of the EAC logo in vector form for high resolution printing, or for their own promotional needs all FREE. More links will be added but the goal is to keep the site as minimal as possible as it is simply a portal for now.

Thanks! Nothing major though. Just a basic portal for access to all the main links. Sifting through forums looking for a specific resource was becoming frustrating. Any feedback would be appreciated. Lets keep this up as a main domain.
