I have a rather strange request, I'm away from the place I left my rig and I set it all up correctly left it all night running cool, Then I had to go visit my gf family which is 1300km away , I checked the hash rate before I slept at a hotel and it was still running, After I woke hash rate is zero and had been more or less straight after I slept , Then sudden bursts here and there later in the day, Now my guesses are, Electric failed? Already asked and that's not the case because it's a big complex and the owner told me it's working, Internet is down ? She said it's not, And why sudden bursts of hashing ? I don't really trust the owner of the place, I'm pretty sure somebody has broken in and taken my rig , Is there anyway to see the IP address of where it mined last ? Which ISP ?, I have two servers for Wafflepool set up as failover so it should be running.

Anyway here's my btc address all help is very welcome because I'm worried and also gutted to think it might be gone 17irVYRJxWNP8ocYm3zPMYiNKbssd5xfNm

Hope somebody has a suggestion apart from the obvious go back and look  Huh

For the future, use something like VNC or http://www.splashtop.com/ to log in remotely.  I use splashtop to log in from my phone from home to check on the miners.

For several days one of my miners was crashing at 9:0am ever day.  CGwatcher wasnt even restarting it.  I had to log in a give it a kick to get working again.  no clue what the problem was.

@Poolwaffle, nice politically correct answer. Smiley I will not provide you "any meaningful suggestions" as, to be honest, I want you to fail because (and I didn't know when I started mining but I am sure of it now) these 1.0 auto-profit switching pools are pure evil, wrecking the coin markets by operating the way they do.

I hope these pools like yours (and even the 2.0 ones) become even more useless soon when more coins start to implement custom/different protocols requiring modified mining software. We've already seen this with Keccak SHA-3 and Scrypt Jane and the different CPU only coins. I'm only hoping someone won't develop auto-protocol/algorithm-switching mining software then! Wink

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh boy.... Please...
I hate this moralism crap!...

Keep the good work PoolWaffle, and lets all get money (and i mean good money), and do "rape" alt coins if they get us some good profit...

I don´t care about false moralisms... but i do care if im going to the caribbean this summer! 0.0001 BTC Donated to you PoolWaffer! Smiley

LPC

Ahrrr! I vote we change the name of the pool to PirateWaffle!  Plunder all the coins mates!

I'm not mining here so I am not the one to blame. It's the auto-profit switching pools and ultimately the stupid, greedy and lazy clients of these pools demanding profits at all costs doing nothing but complaining profits aren't high enough.

Ah ok.  good luck to you sir.  Your opinion isnt needed then.  On to the ignore list

Your coin choosing algorithms are a bit simple then if they are affected so much by pumps.  Undecided Since you wrecked the coin and need at least 103 confirms before you can trade the coins I'm happy to see you're not going to make much money out of it anyway. Since wrecking the coin, prices are down as well. Block times are high since you left the remaining miners at a very high difficulty, high enough for them to walk away, so you're probably no where near those 103 confirms yet. For once I hope prices will drop further so you'll be left with worthless coins and maybe learn something out of it.

umm,  why you you blaming him?  Is it not your hashing power helping "wreck" these coins?  He may be steering the car but you are helping push the gas pedal.  If we run over a few people I think its a little bit you fault too?   seriously, go somewhere else if you dont like it.

Does anyone anywhere take any responsibility for themselves anymore?    I must have missed that class in school where you learn that nothing is ever your fault.

Getting huge swings in hashrate from 6 to 10mh and my miners are steady ~10mh.
Whats going on Huh

You're probably getting swings that go from 6mh to 14mh, averaging out at your actual 10mh.

I had a blip in my hash rate up to 20 mh from my usual 4.8 recently reported by the server.  If you could flip the switch to do that again somehow and keep it going I'd really appreciate it Smiley

I am sitting in UTC+1, which times (when its on time) should i see payouts?

Normally, about 4 hours ago.  Cryptsy withdrawal is taking forever today (theres a notice up on the wafflepool.com header mentioning it).  Soon as it completes, payouts will be sent.

Mr Waffle, thanks for all your hard work and for stopping by here frequently to give us updates

Hey PoolWaffle:  was it only CasinoCoin and AlphaCoin affected by your update this morning?  I saw a much smaller payout then I expected given my earned and unconverted (minus alpha+casino) when I went to bed.  Might have just been a slow night I guess, or did we get some really late doge orphans?  Profit looking like it was under .007BTC/MH for me.  Not too concerned - slow days and good days and what not - but this is the first time I have seen my profit massively differ from the stated pool average.

I saw a big chunk of unexchanged seem to disappear as well

if I buy or spend a bitcoin I mine for a while on a gpu.  I know it does not count for anything really, but it helps a little to keep the blockchain going.

so for 3 days of mining I made 0.006 BTC this way.  about $2 a day.

That isn't much for scrypt mining. What is your hash rate? There must be something wrong with the setup I think.

Cfx.

about 320 kHash per card.  Multipool puts me at 550-700 khash/s on average.  They are the R9 270 cards, not the 270x cards so they are quite a bit slower.  I went through about every combination of options for CGminer except for overclocking them.  Multipool puts my 24 hour profitability at BTC 0.00214865

(they work great for gaming at 5760x1080 over 3 monitors though)

I'd agree with just buying some.

Over the weekend I mined altcoins to trade for BTC.

Have 2 AMD R9 270 cards.  I set a CGminer (mining software) so work on the pool at www.multipool.us.  Multipool mines the most profitable altcoin so it switches to what ever is best to mine.  It mostly mined Dogecoins but there are about 6 others it mined.

I set up payouts to go right to Cryptsy (www.cryptsy.com) and autosell for BTC.

so for 3 days of mining I made 0.006 BTC this way.  about $2 a day.

This morning I bought 0.1 BTC from coinbase.com for $92 and it is worth $101 at MTgox now.   (granted I could not move it out of MTgox as cash without some hefty transfer costs and a lot of time).

So I'd recommend starting by setting up an account at coinbase.com (if you are in the US) go through the process for verification which took me a full month for everything and just buy into some coins.
