I received a bank deposit straight into my bank account, and it was fine.

but someone on Reddit had his Bank of America deposit reversed AFTER it showed up in his online banking

Re: BTC Stolen from Poloniex

I do my business at Poloniex because I like it.

UNIQUE to Poloniex is that he trades XCP which no other exchange can do because they are stupider than Poloniex and content to just keep adding shill coins because it makes money.

Poloniex makes the effort to be the first exchange in the world to offer something.  And nobody gives him credit.

Its not coming to an exchange near you because your exchange of choice is stupid and slow so eveybody trades alt coins, and pretends its not a bubble.

OK man, I'll stick to Poloniex

How flustered are you btw?

Re: What to call 0.001 BTC? (5 BTC Bounty)

How about just a Bit?

EDIT: to also propose the suggestion Bbit (pronounce "bee bit") and to second the suggestion of bitbit.

And just a random suggestion, perhaps the new unit name should belong to the 0.0001 denomination (cent of a cent).  We'll go through fewer names that way, less confusion.  The most useful significant digits will all remain near the decimal point (four to the left, four to the right of it), it could be the only new name we ever need.

I am not sure that SI patterns or prefixes are the way to go.  I occasionally use SI in regular speech just to be geeky (example, I like to say 5 "kilodollars" instead of 5 "grand"), and people look at me like I'm nuts and often don't even know what I mean, even though it should be obvious.  No one seems to expect to see money measured like kilograms or millimeters.

Beyond the currently accepted "satoshi", I don't feel fond of honorary names ("gav" etc.), these seem like they could be a turnoff.

man i like bit

Re: POLL: How to Deal with Stolen BTC on Poloniex

Please just email us when you make a decision, I can't always check this thread.

My vote:

Issue unmined coin (proof of stake).   Like AngelShares

Percentages up to you.

Investors that like the deal buy the coin.  Proceeds cover damaged accounts.

Coinholders receive dividends according.

Technically, you should decide how much your company is worth, then issue coins for the percantage of that number congruent with the amount of money you need to raise.

No need for corporate meetings, etc.  This is the new era.  Just a message-board for coinholders.  All discussion can take place there.

You could also buy the coins back if you would like to someday.

Hi guys, new to this forum thread. I have read an hour now, but not being  atechnical guy, it's all pretty difficult for me to understand.
Let me ask just one simple question; when I buy some XCP at poloniex, can I send them to my windows-wallet and where can I download a windows wallet?

OK me too, exact same question

So how do I actually perform this spend?  I see the address above.  Should I use that?  Their website doesn't really explain the concept

I am sorry about the loss.  You can keep my business if you follow through with what you've said here.  You have my support

Is it just BTC balances that are affected?  What about alt balances?

Hey man you asked if anyone wants to sell their project, then you are basically rude to all the responses.
