So happy that the coin/company is doing well, but sad that I won't be able to make CEO now. Price is rising faster than I can get btc to buy and my stupid wallet hasn't staked in weeks. I have been making small buys all along and still only 1100 coins.  Thanks BTCarchitect for giving crypto something to be proud of.

Maybe that's it. My 1k versus much bigger fish doesn't give me much of a chance I suppose. And I did use coin control to lump the 1k all together it all stakes at once. Still at highest priority for stakes.

Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong? I have 1k ARCH in my wallet, version v1.2.0.0-g  The coins show at the highest minting level and I have yet to get any staking after being on for weeks.
The "days to reward" keeps changing from 5 to 4 to 3 then back to 5 or 4 but never 1 or hours. Not griping, just see if this is normal. Other wallets that I have stake daily at the least. Thanks for any help.

edit: yes wallet is unlocked for staking, 33 connections, and chain is current

That does not sound normal.  My coins start staking after 24 about hours, currently stake 15-25 times per day.  Do you move your coins often or have they really been in that address for weeks?

Same address. I have only added to the total coin amount as I have purchased or ihash sends coins there from mining.

Anyone know what has happened to the website for ihash.co? I can mine but I can't get to the website to see progress. I can't buy any currently but I can mine and would like to get some coins. Thanks.

You can use http://arch.icarusglider.com/ while the new iHash.co is being setup. Launch very soon.

Thanks! That did the trick!

I would say anywhere from 5-15% is a good rate to encourage holding. The other thought is a higher rate for the first year, say 20%, on the theory that the first year many coins will be sitting on exchanges as short term trade and rewards the long term investors. Then lower it each year by whatever amount until it is at a rate that rewards holders but doesn't cause so much inflation that the overall value per coin isn't being reduced because of said interest rate. I would guess that there would also be transaction fees rewarded to open wallets that are minting constantly and confirming transactions. I don't how that all works, as code, but it sounds good to me.  Grin

Hi!

What is currently hash speed with r9 290 and how many coins can you mined with it in one day? What is the result with r9 280?

BG!

ANYONE???

I am running a 7900 at 3.5MH and a 7500 at 2.4MH on suchpool.pw and getting about 15 coins a day. That is the best I can offer you. I assume a 290 would be a little better.

When StealthSend is implemented will this coin go back to PoW?

Yes, as I understand it. Hondo is still deciding between algo's for it. Last I heard it would be scrypt or maybe neoscrypt. There was another option but I can't remember what it was. And the current amount of XST would "burn" into stealthsend coins. It is in the white paper I believe.

I agree that 3-4 days is plenty of notice for every exchange to get the new wallet, test it on their system, and get up and running. Definitely want to avoid having to undo the hard fork. Whatever you decide we, as a community, will support you. We all see great potential for mainstream adoption. I assume (gets me in to trouble often) that one of the builds will contain the switch to POS at a later block? That will also be need for longevity and to get some people to use/stash coins in wallet and keep the network running at a fast rate as mining slows down.  I am sure if it isn't added now that it can easily be implemented down the road. Anywhere from 5-15% stake option would be a nice incentive to get coins off the exchanges. Just my thoughts. Great job so far, Devs!

Something that I as a problem is that if we look on the rich list..

More than 90% is hold by 100 people..

We need that number to go from 90% to atleast 50%.

Its not easy.. But I think its something that we might need to do.

That will, most likely, happen as the price rises. Profit taking shakes some coins loose.

Having been through this with Stealthcoin, once the price starts moving, it went from here to 8500 pretty quickly. Took a breather, little drop back to 5k, then on to 11-12k. Then floor around 10k. That would be beautiful to see here also!!

This was posted in the ltcd board earlier. voodoo1967 sent an email to bittrex about all of the bots and got this back.

Quote
Unfortunately, the latest crop of bots are being used to skew the order books by automatically creating orders that have no intention of being filled.  This frustrates traders who are trying to find the real price of a coin.

To combat this, we are making the following changes.

Order Entry
1.Number open orders per market will be limited to 10.
2.Only 100 orders may be placed in a one hour period on a given market.
3.These caps apply both to UI and API trades

This is from bittrex about squashing bots so I don't think they like bots lol  they wouldn't be doing this if bots were making them lots of btc lol

Hopefully, this will fix things for us, ssd, and ltcd since all 3 have been ravaged by bots at one time or another.

EPIC Cheesy

Took them long enough to realize and do something!! That should really help the good coins trying to get recognition.

I still don't understand how these bots work and why you would use them. Maybe because I don't have much to play with, I don't want a program screwing around with it. That, I have never seen one in use. Maybe it works for the big fish and benefits them in some way. How do you beat the bot at it's game?

Pretty good take for waiting, right? My point is still valid that is worth letting them stake in the wallet until you decide what you want to do. Free coins are free coins and if the price rises a lot it is a little extra icing your cake. 20% is 1.67% per month. On 240k that is about 4k coins extra (free) per month or 1k per week. Just rough numbers but still nice.

Hey guys - I've decided to take my SSD out of the exchange and stake it until the price rises... I DL'd the wallet, but it doesn't say it's syncing... Does it just not have a status bar or am I blind?

Also - Does anyone have any idea if its even worth staking 240k SSD? Or is it safer to keep in an exchange?
Jesus, the things I'd do for 240k SSD..... ._.

If it stakes like XST, which it should, you will get a lot of extra SSD while you wait for the price to rise. This is from xst holder that had(has?) a similar amount (232k). The grayed +249 in brackets is one of his stake amounts that day. He probably gets 10-20 a day for similar amounts. So, yes, totally worth leaving them in the wallet with it open for staking until you decide what you want to do. An extra 1k-2k coins per day is nice. You can always leave some on the exchange for trading if you like. This seems like a really good coin, I hope it does well.  Grin
