but calm them down for what? no one is buying shares at ltcgear....at least not in volume to matter.

so why waste the time to bring back site?

if you were going to run; you'd just have run by now...don't bother w/covering his tracks; too late for that. if he's left a trail; stalling for a few weeks wouldn't do any good.

i interpreted "maint fee will decrease" to be more of a plan to eventually decrease cost as new offerings are added.....difficulty goes up drastically...not something that would scale based on the days earnings.

When dealing with Cloud mining and actually anything Bitcoin related in general, just remember to never invest more than you are willing/able to lose. Just a friendly reminder.

Good luck all. I'm personally staying out, as I see it as being far too shady.

i pretty much tell everyone the same thing...."only invest what you can afford to lose". don't spend your rent/grocery money on mining hardware...you will be homeless and hungry.

I only have about 0.1 BTC to go before I break even.  So I'm at least not on the hook for a significant amount, and I have sworn off buying more contracts.  However this thread definitely did help to open my eyes about bitcoin mining schemes in general, and contribute to making me more cautious and skeptical.  The idea of paying a lump sum for a cloud mining contract, with the eventual outcome that you perhaps (hopefully) earn back the same amount of BTC, makes it similar to a mail in rebate.  You pay money up front for an item and the promotional gimmick from the company that made the product is that they will mail you a portion of the money you paid up front at a later time.  During that interval of time they can earn interest on that money.

i just wonder how much "interest" these guys can really earn.....

Not that couple of cents are that important but to make sure you guys are aware of this .

I have bought prime hashlet yesterday and of course since it was like just the start of the day after minning and all I got about 0.0002 or so in profits , you guys took maintainence fee for a whole day where as I mine like half a day.

Its alright I am fine with it , but many people won't be , specially if its a huge purchase not 1 mh/s like mine Cheesy , keep this in mind.

My zencloud name is 'themporium' you can check it if you want.

haha; had similar w/a free nicehashlet...i mean, it's great from day 2 to get a free hashlet and some free BTC....but it stunk earning about $.02 and paying them $.08 in maint fees.

my zencloud username is jbarnhill if anyone from gaw is listening.

i also wasn't too angry.....but something to should be done to be certain you don't lose money on that first day.

i can only speak from my experience w/GAW and they seem to be flying by the seat of their pants. i've worked for small business IT guys who remind me sooo much of their leadership. they never seem to hit it big; but keep trying. i dont' think they are intentionally trying to defraud anyone....but..that being said; when friends have asked, i've told them to only invest money/BTC w/these guys that they can afford to lose.

pretty sound advice re: any investment

i am frustrated w/the new hashtalk....
i dont' like my payouts being 12 hrs late....
i've found it hard to keep up w/news/freebies/etc being offered due to constant upgrades to communication avenues....
i've stopped expecting much beyond what i can get immediately from them. (founder's club anyone?)

i do think they are trying to offer a solid product....time will tell.

After the last two days, payouts have drifted 9 hours later than the original payout time.

there was an announcement on hashtalk re: payout times being moved back to normal business hours instead of the middle of the night. they should come in between 7aCST and 9aCST starting today (8/29/2014)

i had the same question/problem and called to inquire about it....

What other type of promotions would you guys like to see?  Wink

Maybe not just hosted miners getting doubled for 7 days, but the pool could be all customers.

(Announcement)

On April 1st, we will be running a one of a kind promotion Smiley

GAW Miners will double the profits of any miner you have purchased from us for 7 days! The miner must already be purchased us from us and can include a shipped or our hosted product.

this kinda looks to me like the april 1st promo does include hosted and shipped miners.....

We got a new promo for you!!!!!!

For the next 24 hours. If you buy 4 miners, you get one free! Only while supplies last

Use: buy4get1

And of course, free shipping:) Lets the games begin!!!!

are the GAW Miners for real?
can someone validate them?
any shipping evidence?

you can check my post in their original thread....or go straight to pics of the package i rec'd here...they shipped the big 16lb box labeled "gridseed" not the diapers.... they are 100% legit. I've placed multiple orders with them. I've spoken with them via telephone, pm here, and email multiple times. Their customer service re: sales and technical support are fantastic.

I've also had nothing but positive interactions with these guys. Great prices...great customer service...I wouldn't think of giving my business to anyone else. I was hesitant to take the plunge on ASIC hardware; after speaking with these guys on the phone, I jumped in feet first and have no regrets.

They've answered all my questions quickly, corrected any problems (even a few caused by me...), and have gone out of their way to insure everything is working great for me.

I ordered a 10x kit last week, everything arrived well within their promised 5 days. Due to a misunderstanding, I managed to fry a component. After a few minutes on the phone they offered to send me a replacement at no charge. I was also able to take advantage of the shipping credit offered to customers who ordered before the new shipping rates to score another miner.... a retroactive shipping credit?! Now I see something planned for April first that sounds like free LTC for me?!

Seriously, how are these guys not the amazon of crypto hardware already?!

I feel totally confident ordering from them many times over. If anyone has any questions re: my experiences dealing with GAWminers, feel free to msg me here or email me....
