Re: Trying to recover funds from bitcoin scam
by
bouren
on 30/06/2020, 19:11:32 UTC
Hello. I invested in in Coinxcryptominingcom last year which turned out to be a scam site. I posted on instagram about my ordeal and was recently contacted by @_jacob.armstrong about recovering my lost funds. He suggested contacting slushpool.com and gave me an email contact@slushpool.co.uk to explain my story. I sent them my transactions with wallet addresses to where i sent my funds and this is the response I received.

Good Day ,
We can see from our records and investigations that all your money is on a cloud crypto currency wallet and none of it is lost This is because the CME  ( Chicago Mercantile Exchange)  gap got filled at $9200 on the 2019-6-16 08:42pm which is the exact time you sent 0.31433482  BTC  ($2,861),
See the has code below as all your money in the cloud has amounted to this
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1MvuFAodHn775joqCnahJTiHuMnsQZnxM9

However, we have tested your funding several times and each time it got exhausted by the blockchain liquidation machine.
Nevertheless, we can successfully say all your money is in safe hands and the only way for all your money is to be released  is if  you are  to make an API Integration fee payment so all your funds amounting  to 8.79034054 BTC  will be released within  5  hours

You need to send 0.20 BTC ($1,897) as a fee to claim back your account.
And the additional fee of 0.20 BTC ($1,897) to recover all your funds.
We can say the total amounting to 0.41 BTC ($3,700) this payment is to be made within 48 hours if you want a successful refund of all your funds

The payment is to be made into this BTC address:  14hBpJncS6fqKZqoYAjRCGmbc63ZhLJ6Xs

Is this another scam? Any insight would greatly be appreciated.
I think people need to realize that if someone has such a magical way of recovering your funds they won't come out of nowhere and ask you if you want to recover your money. First of all you were a complete noob when you investing in some cloud mining pool as I can see. Now the people from the pool might have already used their reserves and are now taking that route once again. If you really want to trust them with something make some smart contract arrangement like escrow or something. 99% it's a scam none of their words make any sense but if you are even 1% hopeful then better ask them if they would accept some escrow. If they don't just drop the plan altogether.

Strangely James Bilal Caan claims that he was the founder of bitcoin.. But lost his hard drive.. Is this possible??

What you guys think about James? Why he use this type of statement.. Specially his explanation about his hard drive?
I can say I am the founder of bitcoin. Does this makes any sense? Anyone can make a statement that he or she is satoshi and the creator of bitcoin but you know what a really satoshi would do he would make a comeback in his own style by sending a signed PGP message from hit bitcoin address to prove that he is satoshi otherwise we can't believe anyone at all.

Exacly what is the Reason bull run have not started yet?

There is allready good things happening Bakkt, Binance, bitmex large volumes and so...

Still that all its not enough?
Only mass adoption can bring BTC back into the bull run which is not happening because of slow transaction speed and no support from governement currently but I think soon governments would realize it's worth and with coming of lightning network it will definitely go to a bull run very soon.

Re: Will "satoshi" ever login again?
by

on 03/10/2019, 18:56:30 UTC
Do you think "satoshi" will ever just randomly log in one day and post something?

It seems as if that would be the only way for "satoshi" to ever be proven to be who he is.

I don't think so. If he had a plan to come back to this forum he might have never left it in first place. Satoshi might be a person or a team. But what if he isn't even alive now. What if he was too old and died due to some chronic disease after 2009. What if this was his last wish to create a decentralized currency which no one could control. We definitely have a lot of unanswered questions.

Re: Bank asking to provide additional details regarding my activity
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 18:46:22 UTC

People send me money to my bank account, I send them their coins. What kind of explanation should I provide to these questions to ensure the sustainability of my account? Especially for the first question; we do not have any contracts, and the only documentation I can get is the invoices from the exchange. Should I be completely open with them or should I try to hide that I am selling cryptocurrency? Maybe there are someone who have had similar experience?

Edited: the country I am located in, crypto is completely legal.

If crypto is legal in your country then what is wrong in telling bank. Just tell them you are engaged in trading of cryptocurrencies. If they are ok with it then no problem but if they raise questions and try to limit your account then you can always shift to other banks. In my country, public sector banks owned by government are bit conservative in respect of foreign remittances so my bank limited my account stating that I can no longer receive funds from outside my country. Then I shifted to private sector bank and everything running smoothly since then. But do check that you pay taxes on your incomes else you can land in big trouble.

Re: Will BNB reach $50 This Year?
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 18:34:35 UTC

I am amazed at the way that BNB is growing this year. What is more amazing is that after the famous Binance hack, BNB seems to be untouched and it even continued growing. Aside from its top exchange platform, people are also looking forward to the Binance Chain as possible rival of Ethereum and TRON.

Right now it is sitting at the $28 level and is considered to be the top gainer for this recent rebound of the cryptocurrency market. The future of BNB is now getting to be rosy to the hurrahs of its growing supporters and holders...

Do you think that BNB can be able to reach the $50 level within this year? Or does it have the potential to do so, in the first place?
Yes definitely it is backed by Binance Exchange who I am sure regulalry manipulate it's prices and also it has regular coin burns in almost every quarter so I am pretty sure that it will reach $50 level within this year but only if the market overall remains stable. If btc falls and whole market falls then unfortunately even BNB will fall too.

Re: Future of Tron?
by

on 03/10/2019, 18:33:34 UTC

It's not really even about that.  It's about a group of billionaires getting together and buying whichever alt they want to generate huge income.

Now...  Think about what Chinese billionaires would do.
I think that Chinese billionaires will not play the TRON. This is quite risky and the cryptocurrency market has a low level of liquidity, as for billionaires.

Do you know the who are the major holders and investors in TRON? They are Chinese, obviously.
TRON's founder is Justin Sun who has large community following in China many of whom are billionaires. They own large chunk of TRX supply. They have manipulated TRX market many times before and can do so again in future.

Re: Dont be surprised if ETH hits 4000$
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 18:22:49 UTC
I am waiting 1000$ at the first,$4000 is a huge longshot of course but at least its possible.
many are waiting as you say, $ 1K as soon as possible. but can it be realized for the next few weeks? still a dream that is highly anticipated.
if to be able to lead to the price of $ 4K, I think it's still too far to expect. but still there is a possibility ?

Even if ETH increases by 10% per day, it will take alteast 74 days for it to reach $4000. It is complete stupidity to expect ETH to reach $4000 for next 1 year, atleast. Bitcoin has shown us in past that miracle is possible in crypto market. It rose like 4-5 times in 2017 but for ETH to reach $4000, it has to increase by 20 times which is too much ask for a coin which is currently facing constant fall.

Re: Can bitcoin help rebuild Venezuela? - Darb Finance
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 18:13:52 UTC
We have recently heard that the central govt of Venezuela is buying cryptocurrency to solidify their position a bit and fight with the current state of hyperinflation. I think this might be the last chance of Venezuela before they become the second Zimbawe. But they just have one thing to their advantage which is that they have natural resource in form of oil. They can sell it and buy some cryptocurrency and create some fiat backed by cryptocurrency. Last time I heard they were even trying to make petro cryptocurrency which too failed miserably.

Re: Altcoin today
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 18:10:10 UTC
Altcoins today are struggling , yes no doubt about that but if much attentions are giving to some altcoins with lots of potentials, i think it will make altcoins standout in the market. although some altcoins lacks vision and there are several coins i believe will defintely change the market positively.

Yes, although many have commented negatively on ALT, but most of the ALT currently has good potential going forward. I believe it. Indeed, to increase the price of coins is very difficult. The developer must really work hard. I don't think it's enough to rely on digital exchange.

No one is doubting the potential of altcoins. I am in favor that many coins are out there which are going to have bull run soon. But the investors' conception about altcoins is not right at present. The prices of altcoins are falling very steeply. So it is better to avoid altcoin market for the time being. I think we will see any altcoin festival once again very soon.

Re: Livecoin is a shady exchange, Yobit is not

Livecoin is a shady exchange but that doesn't mean any other exchange can't be shady. But as far as yobit goes many people might have had a few problems with yobit but all on all I have never seen a person experiencing scam from Yobit. They have a legendary member account who is continuously active here listening to various scam accusations of people. They might have been a lot slower in their customer support but at the end they play it quite safe with your funds unless you are foolish and yourself do some mistake.

Re: Will IEO be good in the future?
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 17:58:50 UTC
Why not? IEOs have a format in which the number of free places is limited, which means that projects, in theory, will always be profitable, because demand will always exceed supply, which means those lucky ones who fall into the sale will always earn. As long as IEO brings money, it will exist. Like any other financial instrument.

I don' think so. I think IEOs kill liberty of project. It is more like Binance's IEO rather than Project's IEO. In case of IEO, exchange exercise much more control over project which is not good for success of project in long term. Also exchanges charge huge commission from projects which is kind of deceiving investors. This all kills the seriousness of project and make it another shitcoin in market.

Re: How did you start trading?
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 17:38:54 UTC
I started trading with the help from my friend. He introduced me to cryptocurrencies and we together made some quick dollars from different sources. Once we had enough capital to start, we signed up for Bittrex. For few intital days, we relied on Pump/Dump groups but soon realized these groups can't be trusted. We lost like 20-25% of our capital. Then we shifted to self-inspection method and lurking through some threads and websites, we chose 4 coins and invested in them. It turns good for us and we doubled our investment. Soon after, we started learning Technical Analysis and since then we mostly invest by reading charts and trends.

Re: Will Bitcoin mixers be considered illegal by worldwide governments?
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 17:24:32 UTC
Bitcoin mixers have a long history since they came into inception some time ago. They've been a viable alternative for people looking towards privacy within their Bitcoin transactions. While Bitcoin mixers are far from being perfect, they're still one of the best solutions for obfuscating transactions from third parties. The only concern would be that mixing services are centralized as they're provided by a middleman. In effect, this brings a single point of failure greatly defeating the purpose of privacy.

We've seen how Bestmixer got shut down by the authorities. They claim that Bestmixer encouraged money laundering activities which resulted in legal action. The truth is that Bitcoin mixers can be used for both good and bad things. Money laundering is mostly done with Fiat than with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Still though, the perception of worldwide governments against mixers/tumblers seems to be different nowadays. Which makes me wonder whenever Bitcoin mixers will be considered illegal by such entities within the future?

If governments ban mixers/tumblers, then they could easily do the same to privacy-oriented cryptocurrencies like Monero and Grin. It's all a matter of power and control over people than anything else. What do you think about this? Huh
Governments are intending to ban crypto themselves not only only mixers. Yes mixers do encourage money laundering as they mix up any trail of btc whatsoever so may it be hacker's money all of them do go through a mixer once before they come out clean. If government comes on banning things then cryptocurrencies at a whole would definitely be the first thing they would be banning.

Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday?
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 17:18:18 UTC
To reach the conclusion whether Ethereum can beat Bitcoin, we first have to look at the current market position and the degree of utility of both coins.
Bitcoin is clearly market leader right now. It worth 70 times more than ETH. When it comes to utility, it is accepted by many online stores. Easily speaking, Bitcoin is most-widely used cryptocurrency at the moment.
Whereas Ethereum's market condition is worsening. It has dropped over 90% in last 19 months. When it comes to utility, it is mostly used to create tokens. There is hardly any real use of ETH coin in its own.
If we compare above, we can easily reach to conclusion that Bitcoin will remain the king until some new cryptocurrency comes in the market, offering entirely different set of utility.

Re: Which one you buy Bitcoin or Ethereum?
by

on 03/10/2019, 17:08:12 UTC
Yesterday the price of Bitcoin was $9700 and today the price is $8500. Yesterday the price of Ethereum is $200 and today the price is $170. So which coin is prefer to buy?
Whatever you buy just don't sell right now. Market is going through a negative phase as of now and soon it can recover so instead of just putting your speculations try to HODL for sometime and you can definitely reap long term benefits from it. Just look at what some expert says BTC is going to 20k until the next summer so why just don't stay aboard until then?

Re: Best time to keep investing? market is crumbling again
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 16:57:11 UTC
I would choose both. Invest 50% to bitcoin and 50% to different altcoins - create a smart portfolio. Don't go all in, that's a big mistake. Diversify your investments.

It is wrong time to throw your 50% investment in altcoins. The market value of altcoins is contracting and we can see the same trend going on for some more time. Bitcoin dominance may cross 70% this month. So it is better to keep all money in BTC and wait for the moment. I think right time to go for altcoins is near Christmas. Trends show that prices of altcoins grow in holidays.

Re: Can BTC still have any rally before 2020?
by
bouren
on 03/10/2019, 16:56:47 UTC
We have been having a lot of debate on where the trend might be shifted to in terms of BTC price. The highest price this year almost reaches $14000, while the majority still believe that we might still get back to this price and even surpass that level, some still at the conservative position that BTC will hover between $7000 -$10000 maximum before the end of this year.

Is anybody here believe in any of these scenarios with valid points and if available an illustration that will establish the fact.
Yes bitcoin can have a rally to 12-14k once this year. We are currently expriencing 0.5 retracement as per fibonacci from the 14k rally which we previously made and if this is wave 2 then wave 3 could possibly be higher much higher than the previous wave but for this remaining year I think we would only be able to see it until 14k.
